Angel Medical Center Reviews

  • Sep 14, 2016

I started going to Dr. Mathur around July or Aug of 2015. The reason I started to go to this doctor is that I was told by my primary Dr. and a few other docs that I had low testosterone for the last couple of years. I also was feeling tired and not motivated to do things. After two years of feeling like this, I went online to find what I thought would be the best TRT doc close to my home. Angel Longevity Medical Center was the place.......... so i thought!

Here is my experience!

Before going to this doc, my PSA has always been around 1.5 - 1.7.....way below 4.0. I have gotten this checked every 6 months on a regular basis for the past 3 years. After seeing this TRT center, my PSA went up and up every month. The first month on testosterone via injection by this office, my PSA went from 1.7 to 2.5. Dr Mathers said nothing to worry about. Month two, I don't believe she even checked the PSA. Month 3 or 4, I ended up getting a UTI because of the testosterone. I honestly believe that the testosterone was causing inflammation to my prostate after looking back on things. Well the third month of being on the testosterone, my PSA jumped up to 14. Off the chart. What is even more crazy, is Dr. Mathers kept me on the testosterone for about a week after she knew that my testosterone was elevated before taking me off about a week later.

For the next 6 months, I went to a urologist to have this looked at. The urologist watched my PSA during this 6 month period as we were hoping that the PSA would go down. It did go down a bit ( down to 6) At the 6 month period, it went from 6 to 4. My urologist suggested we do a biopsy. The results came back as positive for prostate cancer.

The cancer that I had was a Gleason Score of 6 and 7. I was advised to either do radiation or Robotic Removal of the prostate. I choice the Robotic based on the advice of my Urologist and many second opinions. By the way, I am 47 years old.

During all of this time, Dr Mathers was tell me to do a test with her to clean my blood, as it was just an infection and she wanted to charge me over $1000 to do the blood cleaning test.......really Doc?? After I had paid her $2800 for the TRT. This was my entry fee just to start working with Angele Longevity . On top of this I had to pay an additional $50 to $300 per month for supplements and test that she said I had to do.

All I know is that before going to Angel Longevity, my PSA was 1.7 and after seeing her, I had prostate cancer. Not only that, I was out a lot of money for something I thought I was going to be getting help for........ my low Testosterone.

After my procedure of the removal my prostate and cancer, I now have issues with incontinence (peeing on myself and in diapers) and no erections. I have been told that it will come back between 3-36 months. However, there is a possibiltiy that it will never return.

I wish I would have never gone to Dr. Mathers. I honestly believe I would not be in this situation if I would have just stayed way from Angel Longevity.

Other things that were red flags about this practice were that the whole staff that I started with were gone by month 3. I am not sure what happened, but by the 3rd of 4th month of seeing her, a totally new staff was in place. Also, the staff seemed like they were scared of her and the office manager. Just my opinion. The staff (old and new) seemed like they were walking on egg shells all the time.

Also, I saw two different Dr. at Angel Longevity while doing TRT. I started off seeing Dr. Mathers, and then I started seeing another Dr at her office. I remember that both doctors were not on the same page as far as my treatment and test. They would contradict each other often.

BTW- during the time I was on the TRT with Angele Longevity. I did not feel any better.

Lastly, after my $2800 and 6 months, she wanted me to pay an additional $2000 to see her after my 6 months was up. She provided no additional support of helping me if I did not pay. I also sent her and email to let her know I had cancer and her response was pretty much "Good luck" . Dr. I have prostate cancer and you want to tell me good luck. I am thinking about seeing an attorney. On top of that, she should give all of my money back.

Dont go to Angel Longevity and give me my money back Angel Longevity!
