WARNING TO EVERYBODY WHO LIVES IN GEORGIA!!

Stay away from Amigo Auto Sales. They are con artist. They make it easy as Hell for anybody to get a vehicle but they will steal it back too. Guess what? It's all legal in Georgia...

Being I live in Virginia I was giving their bank account information for depositing my payment each month. We paid our payment for over 2 years on time with no problems. Then my phone got broke which had the information stored on it. So on the first of October when my van payment came do I contacted Amigos to get the banking information to make my payment. Every time I called I was sent to some guy named Eric Domohowski. Either he wasn’t in or I got his voice mail. I left 15 messages and not once a call back. So, I tried emailing him asking for those bank deposit numbers. I sent over 20 emails and not once did he reply back. Now 20 days have passed in the month and I still had no way of making my payment. I live in Virginia so I can’t just drive to the car lot there in Georgia. Nobody at Amigos would give me the information. Everything has to come from Eric.

When I got my new phone I was able to use NFC to extract my information from the old phone. I got back Amigos bank deposit numbers and I quickly went to the bank and made the payment.

Well today I woke up and my van had been repossessed. At no time ever was I ever warned about repossession or received any letters from them. Even in their emails it was never mentioned. So I called Amigos and wouldn’t you know it I got a hold of Eric 1st try, He informed me since my payment was more than 15 days left he had the right to repossess my van. He went on to say he never got any voice mails or emails from me at all. I sure got all the emails on my end though. After 2 in a half years with a perfect payment history they do this to us. In order to get the van back we have to pay 500 dollar repossession fee, 200 dollar service fees, and next month payment of 300 in advance before I can get it back. That’s a thousand dollars. Now the catch is I have to go in person to Amigo Auto Sales within 5 days to pay for it all. Keep in mind they know I live in Virginia.

This Eric deliberately ignored my request in order to give him time by law to reclaim my van which we had paid over 5000 dollars on already. They know I can’t be in Georgia in 5 days with a thousand dollars. I have no transportation now. Plus I can’t get to work now.

They are crooks and this Eric is the biggest con artist of all. I talked to several attorneys there and all of them said as long as they waited the 15 days for nonpayment it was legal to take your vehicle. The state of Georgia does not regulate dealership hidden fees. You have no protection by law in Georgia. They can take all your money and take back their property and you the consumer have no protection. AND I’m NOT THE 1st ONE. They do it all the time and it is legal.

I want you to please pass this on to everybody in Georgia. STAY AWAY FROM AMIGO AUTO SALES! I don’t want another person to get ripped off by Amigo Auto Sales….. The more people who know the more people can help shut these thieves down. Before buying anything from Amigos remember you were warned!!!
