I had received a call from them telling me of a promotion they were running for five (5) free magazines and all I had to pay was $3.99. for shipping. I had not, did not, agree to any subscriptions at all. They proceeded to take my credit card information for the shipping and gave me an 888 number (888-906-0162) for customer service.
I had not heard back from them nor did I receive any magazines for several months, so I called them to ask if they were indeed going to send me the 5 free magazines or not.
When I checked my credit card account online I realized they had started to charge me $49.90 each month for several months without my knowledge or agreement.
I tried calling them several times to ask them to refund those charges as I had NOT agreed to any subscriptions. I never got through to anyone past the reception desk. They would transfer me to someone and it would go straight to voicemail. I left several messages and never got a call back.
After several months of repeated charges on my credit card of $49.90, I had to start charge disputes for each one with my credit card company and tried to block them from charging.
I did get refunded for all but on charge of $49.90 but they kept charging my credit card for $49.90 under different merchant names each month despite my and my credit card company’s several attempts to call them and ask them to stop charging.
I finally had to close that credit card account altogether.
I got a phone call from All American Readers and agreed to get there magazines, and they would deduct money off my credit card TWO DAYS LATER I emailed them on the above email telling them I wanted to cancel, I also phone the around 15 times and hold on for up to 45 minutes in the que but you NEVER EVER get through it goes to a voice mail saying the person is not available leave a message which I’ve done numerous times.
I have not received any magazines, you CAN NOT get hold of anyone, I’ve emailed them FOUR times to cancel with no response, I then Have some very very rude lady phone me today saying they handing me over to collections as I owe $860 as my debits has come back from the bank and when I told her I had emailed her cancellation she said I’m a delinquent payer and they DO NOT accept cancellations and put the phone down on me.
When I phoned back the number which comes up as “unknown” on my phone it just tells you you number one in the que and the phone is NEVER answered. I phoned ten times today same thing ever time. This is a huge fraud scam going on And I want to report it.
They said you get a gift card, but you can only use it on the store they give you, then you go to cancel them out ,and they tell you it will cost you 250.00 dallor to cancel them.
I am getting calls from this company saying I still owe them for the magazines,I never received any magazines from their company. This company is just harassing me from calling me everyday,I've told one of the workers from their company that I'm not interested due to having a lot of my own bills and helping my uncles out due to lost of their mom (my grandma)recently.This company keeps calling and bothering me everyday,I don't owe that company anything at all cause I've NEVER received any magazines
