I brought a car from the owner of Affordable motor cars in Stuart Florida on January 26, 2019 on Saturday February 2, 2019 on the way back form Lakeland Florida white smoke started coming out of tail pipe. I took car into repair shop for service. The repair shop called me and said don't put any money into this car it's junk.
I took the car to a well know auto repair shop in Bonita Springs Florida. and they said the same thing, both estimates were $7000 to $8000. for new engine in a car I paid 5100.00 for. Both owners showed me the engine and radiator were full of stop leak. This is a gooy brass copper looking stuff that coceals bad head gaskets and radiator leaks.
This is used to get cars off the lot and is a short term fix. There was water in the oil pan and bearing noise from the thick oil put in crank case to keep bearing quiet. Andrew at affordable motor cars. was contacted and after a few phone calls, said that is too bad for me! He might be able to find a new motor for me but I would have to pay for it since cars are sold as is, if it falls apart in the parking lot that is just tuff.
Called many times he did not return phone calls, finally I sent a letter and he called me, was very nasty on the phone and hung up on me. Afordalble motors told me they did not know any thing about the car, and they would take no responability for the crap he sold me. In checking with the state of Florida dept of motor vehiecials.
They owned the car form June of 2017 until January 2019. That is seven months and he says he did not know about it?? The shame on him for not knowing any thing about what he sells. How could he tell me it was a great low millage car. If he never checked it out, What a crook. Car was just about a total lost for me. in less than a month!! Beware of this place, as bad as it can get.!
