We received a letter from Affinion Benefits group addressed to my mother in law. my husband and i have been taking care of her finances for over two year due to a stoke she suffered and has been unable to take care of herself let alone her finances since 2014. the letter stated that her accidential death and dismenberment coverage was past due and that she owed them money. First of all she never had AD&D coverage. Second if we didn't check her mail she would have paid it becasue it says she owes it. The elderly are paryed upon, they have values and still want their credit to be good, they want to pay what they owe, however they are easily confused. shame on you Affinion Benefits Group

I had signed up for dismemberment ins and had it for approximately a year, and called to cancel it because they would take it out of my account at random times, sometimes causing nsf charges. i was told they would cancel it but 3 months later they hit it again.

I was solicited by the same company, without realizing it, for hospitalization coverage for 29.95 a month for entire family, so I sent a company check to open the account with a note that read, I would pay them through my company, different bank.

approximately 9 weeks later, I wound up in the hospital with a dislocated hip and had to have hip revision surgery.two days after I got back from the hospital, I received a letter from Affinion letting me no that they wouldn't process the application do to non-automatic withdrawal. This company then started hitting my account, which had no money in it, and I didn't find out until they had racked up over 125.00 in nsf fees.

I called a friend at the bank,as well as writing an email to the bank and had to fill out forms to stop payment which cost me more money. I still had to call the company to cancel the insurance that I was told they couldn't impliment to start with and got the run around.

My friend at gtefcu, got a conference call together with Affinion and myself to make sure they were canceling the insurance extractions from my account, in which she had to get on to the person for trying to hard sell me while we were on the line.

Now they refuse to send the funds that they did finally extract from my account until I furnish them with a two page request that has to be notorized.

A formal complaint by GTE FCU is being made against this company, and I would love to see these people put out of business and fraud charges placed against them.
