Adore Cosmetics Reviews

  • Apr 30, 2023

I am a victim of Deep Sea Cosmetics (Adore store in Tyrone Mall, Saint Petersburg). I have returned the unopened products with my husband (recorded it on video) the day after and was told, NO REFUNDS! I have attempted to return everything WITHIN 30 MINUTES OF PURCHASE WHEN I REALIZED THAT I BECAME A VICTIM but the store closed. When I got home, I immediately called my bank to cancel the transaction and initiated a dispute. Money loss: $3,691.50 I have never thought in my life that I would encounter such horrifying experience at the mall. On 1/31/2022 around 5pm, I was just walking through the mall when a young woman stopped me in front of Adore cosmetics store and asked me if she can try their anti wrinkles product on me. I trusted her right away and purchased an around the eyes anti wrinkles cream for a $267.50 dollars. That transaction didn’t end there because another sales person, a super "friendly” Israeli guy, Shalom, asked if I was interested in a much better system that I can use for my entire face and neck, not just around my eyes and he started using red light on one side of my face, stating that he could already see the difference and that I needed to consider his option instead of an expensive face lift surgery after which he proceeded to go down on the price every time I said that I wasn’t interested. He insisted that I deserve to get something nice for myself and that I was like his mom and wanted me to enjoy this skin care system and feel good without trying facelift surgery because I was so nice and he liked me since I was from Europe and he was really chatty and kind, learned that I was a registered nurse and about my battle with cancer. Instead of the pushy techniques, a "friendly" approach is being used nowadays. The conversation involved mostly generous compliments and amiable chatter. At this point I already have the intuition that something is not right but I gave them the benefit of the doubt even though I said I wanted to do my own research and talk to my husband before I purchased something so expensive. Then he calls his manager to get "an even better discount” while throwing "free” creams, two facial treatments and even an after shave for my husband. I keep telling him that I don’t want to buy it now while he’s asking me what credit card do I want to use and that he is going to deduct the money I already paid for the product for around the eyes that the woman sold me and was going to exchange for the Perfectio system. Shame on me for not being able to just be firm and just say NO but shame on them for taking advantage of people. I can’t believe that I got manipulated by those two to believe that I needed something for wrinkles in the first place because I am 55 years old and I was blessed genetically with lots of collagen. I really wanted to leave and felt so uncomfortable because the guy was so friendly and acted as if he really wanted to help me. To cut the story short, I ended up paying $3,691.50, said yes and just wanted them to leave me alone while feeling pressured to buy the items. I didn’t see a sign that said "no refund” at the time of purchase. My bank upheld the scam shop’s "no refund” policy. NOW THEY HAVE MY MONEY AND THE MERCHANDISE. My oncologist instructed me not to use red light or any products on my face and neck (I can provide a letter from my physician because I had cancer and they monitored everything very closely) and I informed Etan Gamiel, Adore supervisor or manager? who stated that I can use the products on my other parts of my body but no refund. Incredible! I fell victim to their sales tactics and they refuse to resolve the issue. I deem this enforcement of the policy to be baseless and unethical. They are preying on vulnerable individuals.

This company is a scam! They are pros at ripping off people using deceptive sales practices and complete misrepresentation of the products.

I encountered the company in Las Vegas on Fremont Street. My friend & I both fell victom to their scheme. They had a nice store front and appeared to be a legitimate business. They said Adore cosmetics were from Italy and are !00% organic and hypo allergenic. The manager of the store is Lucas Juvanni. We dealt with both him and another sales person named Anabel. Both Lucas and Anabel, told us the exact same products are used for facials at the high-end Bellagio spa and the Bellagio spa charges over $500 for a single facial with the exact same Adore products. Lucas & Anabel told us that they work at the Bellagio spa doing facials. Lucas even when as far as to fake a phone call that he was going to the Bellagio later to do a facial. Both my friend and I purchased products. We took a couple products with us and they were to ship the rest.

After leaving, we noticed the receipt indicated no refunds...which no one in the store had informed us of this policy. I contacted the Bellagio spa and found out that they do not use Adore cosmetics and neither Lucas nor Anabel work at the Bellagio spa doing facials. It was also clear reading the labels that the products were not from Italy.

The following day, we returned and requested a refund. The sales people's demeanor had completely changed and they were rude & short with us. They were speaking among themselves in another language. Lucas said the packages had already been shipped so he could not refund but agreed to give us a partial credit and said he would issue remaining refund less restocking fee of 25% if we were not satisfied in 90 days. He gave us this in writing. Based on the tracking information, the packages had not been shipped at the time we talked to Lucas....another lie!

We both refused delivery of the packages and returned to Adore under the same tracking number. They have all the products back new & unused AND have my money! I have tried repeatedly to contact Adore via letter, email, & phone calls. I had a cell phone number for Lucas so I texted him. He first responded saying he would do whatever necessary to make me happy and then he didn't respond to the next several texts. I texted him a link to a review I made online and he responded stating that a "lady" in his office contacted me and offered a refund less restocking fee and I refused it. Absolutely no one contacted me from this company...I would never refuse a refund either. This is just another one of their tactics.

I cannot believe the Las Vegas tourism organizations allow this company to do business. They are preying on tourists.

I hope people will read this complaint before purchasing Adore Cosmetics.

I tried to return unopen product less than 24 hours after purchase and we were refused. We were lured into Adore in Miami at the Lincoln Road Shopping Mall on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015 while on vacation. We were told we they wanted to give us free samples and after almost an hour of aggressive sales tactics we fell prey and purchased the collagen mask for $699.95. We were offered two free facials with this purchase if we came back the following day Dec. 6. We did return and after another hard core sales pitch I began to feel very uneasy and while the "promotor, Giorgio stepped out of the treatment room, I began to search the Internet to find out more about this company. I was shocked and very upset at what I was reading. 13 sites with complains of scam and fraud. We immediately left and told them we were not interested in any additional products. I continued to do research to read hundreds of online testimonials that their products don't really work. I called the number the "promoter" gave me and it was not a working number, so I called the store and spoke to the manager. He told me that there were NO refunds. I explained that we had literally just made the purchase and that the product had not been opened. He hung up on me. All we want is our money back and we are happy to return the product to them immediately. I have contacted the Florida States Attorney's office and they did try to help me and recommended that anyone impacted by this fraud contact the States Attorney where the offense occured. My credit card company did reversed the charge.

There's a reason Adore cosmetics are all over the internet as a Rip-Off, but they look for older women in malls where no reviews are given until it's too late. Expect high pressure sales techniques and no copy of anything you sign.

While their website at states returns for a full refund are possible, the receipt they keep states only exchanges will be made. My UPS receipt states it was never even opened.

There's a reason they have moved around in various malls , they are harder to track. They also want to work areas where the population is primarily made of tourists.
