I purchased Acronis Cyber Backup Advanced Workstation 35 licenses through CDW. After four days of not being able to get anything to work or any help "Because your product must be registered". How does their system not see my purchase? Great system, not! I emailed Jacob Strack [email protected] from Arconis and called CDW to let them know I wanted a refund.

Thanks for wasting four days of my time.

I made the switch to Veeam and everything that wouldn't work with Acronis simply just worked with Veeam Backup. I was able to connect to the system, remote install the needed agents, even backup the PCs and servers as needed.

After a week Acronis wanted to help me out, as I told them. Sorry but no, I'm now using Veeam Backup and it works unlike your software. After over a month of fighting with them I only received around $1,700 dollars back out of the around $5,200 spent. Keep in mind I asked for a refund after four days for a product I couldn’t even get to work. To top it off Veeam was about $4,500 dollars for 40 licenses.

My waring: DONT USE ARCONIS, they were good at one time, not anymore. Go with Veeam its simple and just works!

Do not fall pray to Acronis support staff sales tactics. They did not deliver functioning software and refused to issue credit. Their technical support staff deceived me by omission by forcing purchase of their product and not announcing that the purchase was non-refundable.

Be advised that download does not constitute delivery. This is true because Acronis server backup software neither installed nor functioned on my server computers.

I contacted the Acronis support group and watched their support staff's numerous attempts to deliver their non-functioning backup software. They simply did not and could not deliver !!

I was forced to buy the product to qualify for technical support. Then the support group completely failed to get it running after several hours with them directly linked to our computers, several downloads of various backup versions, and numerous failed attempts to deliver the backup software I charged to my credit card. In short, they forced a purchase a did not deliver working product.

I called Acronis again within 24 hours following this frustrating experience, and requested a credit. Only then was I informed the product was non-refundable !! What !!! What !!! Had I known of their these sales tactics and a clear lack of customer commitments I would never have OKed their demand for purchase tp receive technical support. Fortunately, I canceled their charges to my credit card with a company that does know the meaning of customer support. Bye Bye Acronis. May all your sales erode to much more reliable NAS backup servers.

I restored my desktop to a previous date using Acronis True Image. “Restore was Successful “ appeared after several hours; however Windows 10 did not boot up and the following message appeared each and every time:

NTLDR is missing,

Press Alt-Ctrl-Del to Restart.

I inserted the Acronis Emergency Boot disk, Windows Repair disc , and even a self-boot Windows 10 image hoping to hit Repair when it boot up, but the PC did not boot up normally.

As instructed by Acronis and Microsoft Tech Support, I changed the BIOS to boot from the CD Ram (more than 100 times) and the program did save the changes. Acronis Tech Support in tried to help me in various occasions unsuccessfully.

After many days wasting precious time, a manager at Acronis in India said that probably there is a problem with the hardware. This is absurd because when I replace the bad hard drive with an old one running Windows XT, the computer runs fine. Obviously there is a bug in the program because the message “Restore was Successful” should not appear when errors exist.

I offered to send them the actual hard drive so that their technicians can figure out what is wrong with the program, develop a correction and create a patch or update- they did not care

Acronis does not stand behind the software – you are own your own when Acronis fails to perform – obviously there is an error in the restore program

DON’T BE A VICTIM……..DO NOT BUY ACRONIS!
