Im sorry, there are 2 things that piss me off about shopping. Speed Bumps and No public Restrooms. If you are going to irritate your customers then Im going to irritate you, passively. I refrain from doing business with any locations that have these 2 features. I went to an Ace Hardware today, and the sign No public Restrooms was on the front door. I didnt even get out of my truck and drove away. Im used to dealing with another Ace HArdware in Chapin SC, and there is none of this, there are very nice Publice Restrooms. Yes I know the problem, homeless people coming in to use it, SO WHAT!!. Why should I be incvneienced by it, you know, the guy that spends the money in your store. Its not that I have a prostate problem or soemthing its, just irritating, so let me irritate you back, I proabably would have spend about 45 dollars in your store today. I hope the 5-10 dollars in profit was worth losing to keep the bums out.
I just flew in from Los Angeles and our garage in Phoenix had just broken and needed some parts so I went to an Ace Hardware store ONLY because it was much closer to go to then Home Depot. One of my good friends went with me and witness the lawsuit I will be filing against these people who work there. I was wearing a very expensive Robert Graham backpack that had my personal things since I just flew in to town. I was told that I need to keep my expensive back back upfront with them. When I asked why, "you might steal something and put it in your back back. Wtf! So I asked again, and the same answer. Didn't they see what just happened at Starbucks a few days ago about a black man was refused a bathroom key because he didn't purchase anything and... Not only did it appear as the manager assaulted me because I took pictures of all the employees and he didn't like it. I asked him why did he push me he said he was just trying to leave bull crap. Really. Watch how I will make sure you go out of business! I am Jewish, handicap and have been suffering from cancer related illness and I have to endure this.
My first complaint message to Ace: Just received the feeder and had a messy problem real fast. The top does not remove to fill the feeder, and the small opening provided is inadequate to use with more than one cup of seeds at a time. It now takes forever to fill the thing and results of spilled seeds all over. This feeder is poorly designed and almost useless for us. I'd take it back somewhere but we don't have an Ace store in Newport, TN. This online purchase of mine was a real money loser. Thank you,
My 2nd message after Ace requested more: Just received a new Ace Hardware hopper style bird feeder and had a messy problem real fast -- all because the top does not remove to fill it.
There's a small opening provided which is inadequate to use with more than one cup of seeds at a time. It now takes forever to fill the thing and results in spilled seeds all over the floor. A removable top would have been the sensible way to do things. This feeder is poorly designed and almost useless for us.
The top opening is built into the cover (roof), slides to open, and my next worry of course is how wet will the seeds get in the rain? I'd take it back somewhere but we don't have an Ace store in Newport, TN. They do have a 30 day return scheme, but after having paid for shipping both ways I will lose money by returning it for a refund. This online purchase of mine was a financial drain, but in line, I guess, with today's TV advertising mode of doing business: "Buy junk, return it, pay lots doing so, lose your money." And Ace had to jump on this bandwagon.
One final concern is Ace Hardware ever buying this item in the first place. Don't the company buyers check into merchandise before selling it? Over the years the company never did me wrong, so I wonder why or how such a poorly engineered product became part of their company? Oh well, another Good Will donation after its replacement arrives.
Do not order online from this company. Due to Ace Hardare incompetence my family is freezing this Winter so far and they still have my money.
I ordered a pellet stove from Ace on 11/12/2015 and they took my money and assured me it would arrive at their local store in 3 to 8 business days. It never arrived. I got the run around the whole time my order was in the system. Nobody knew anything. Finally I was advised the order should have never been accepted. Meanwhile they have my money to pad their bottom line.
They still have my money and I have nothing but a useless bunch of phone conversations and wasted time.
