Promised you insurance at a low cost. But after getting paperwork you see it's only a discount card. Then when you call back to cancel they give you a run around

In January I had received a text saying to call this number for Obama Care. Get health insured. So I had called the number for specifically purchasing health insurance. I then gave them all of my bank info and specified in purchased a health insurance plan. 2 weeks later I received nothing in the mail. I then proceeded to call them and asked "Where my "health insurance " card is...and they said it's in your email. I sensed something was funny. I then proceeded to tell them I've never heard of a health insurance company not providing a physical card.

So when it came to a 2 Saturdays ago, unfortunately had to go to urgent care for a bad case of poison ivy. Carewell Urgent Care of Fitchburg Ma 01420, then informed me they had never heard of this company. So therefore during the week I called them to tell them I had to pay $175 out of pocket and to give me my health insurance number for reimbursement . They then informed me that I had purchased "Wellness" Insurance and not "Healthcare". I specifically said "health insurance" and never had heard of Wellness Insurance!!! I've been ripped off and want my money back so I can purchase legit health insurance!!! Anya LaFlamme

Big Rip off!!

I was looking for a primary heathcare company. I was contacted by A1 Heathcare and lied to. It's fraud what they are doing. There;s several companys all wound up together that are selling something there not delivering. When I called today I talked to someone at a different named company to cancel my policy and he was very sorry about hearing that this "work from home" salesman mislead me. He was kind enough to give me the salesmans name so now I have a name to start a class action lawsuit. Hope to have something started soon.

This company is a total rip off, they will tell a person anything to sell a policy. They totally lied about everything! I couldn't even use this in my home town because no one accepts it! They told me it was accepted everywhere, more like no where! They also took money out of my account that I didn't authorize, and even though I asked to cancel, I was told I was not entitled to refund. Don't let this people take advantage of anyone else!!!

Questionable

I was looking for health insurance and received a call from A1 healthcare. They stated that they could provide affordable coverage but when I asked for time to review the fine print the supervisor Ramirez became aggressive and verbally abusive all because I wanted time to read the insurance details before committing. He insisted that I needed to send him payment info in order to proceed which I found odd. His team sent me a text and on that text it states "We are not insurance " So I questioned it and he became aggressive. It was a terrible experience and possibly fraud. Be careful and always ask to read the fine print. Trust me they are questionable.

TOTAL SCAM

I consider myself a fairly intelligent person. I was given this number through government website for the marketplace.. how is this possible??? Therefore I felt comfortable giving my credit card info.. and my ss#. They sold me Aetna insurance with dental.. after I electronically signed for this on my phone... i googled it.. found this website. I called Amex to cancel immediately and cancel my card. I then called the company.. they said.. oh you were sold A1 by accident let me get you the proper plan.. I said cancel my current situation that you signed me up for.. they said.. ok.. cancelled.. I said give me the cancellation number.. they said that takes 24 hrs.. I said no.. that's immediate.. I said ok.. I will wait for my cancellation number and they see what else you have to offer (just to see if I would get a cancellation number out of them).. they hung up on me. Still can't believe I fell for it! Another reason I always use American Express. They are great for protecting their customers.

At approximately 11 a.m. this morning I received a call after applying online for Obamacare I was cohersed by the agent to tell me I didn't qualify for Obamacare and ended up securing a policy with this company . After some thought I called back to cancel and receive my payment credited, and was denied that right by the company .I've been sending emails back replying to my confirmation emails telling the company I wanted to cancel my membership that would activate at midnight tonight and I would like we impressment they emailed the simply stating they were not able to do that at this time. Around 4 p.m. this afternoon, the phone rang (Houston, TX) - I was prepared for the delayed reaction to my HELLO - I remarked & implied that this call may be unwanted. This fellow was somewhat 'nasty' & remarked couldn't I see who was calling me? I told him my phone only showed the area in which the call came from. We were not getting along. The phone did not have a good connection. I could only understand a few of his words. The fellow (Chris) stated he was with the insurance company (implied Health Ins) & that I needed to change my insurance with Unified Health One - He said I needed a better rate. (He had all my information including the other Health insurance ID card No.) I wasn't sure it was legit - but he was persuasive that he was doing me a favor & stated UH1's contract was running out. I could keep this new insurance until I was 65. New price per month $192 plus paying a new Sign Up fee $95 (I had already paid a fee such as that for UH1) - $287 would charged today & new plan start on the 6-31. When i signed the forms he sent to my email, they said June 28th. All told, I gave him personal information (I was hesitant in giving my SS# - but did so) Gave the beneficiary and thought that was a bit odd. AND gave this guy 'Chris' my Citi Bank Visa Card Info. He said I would be getting my new ID card and information in the mail. It was only after I hung up, signed up on the web site for A1healthcare.com things looked a bit odd. I saw nothing about Health Insurance - I saw Life & Term insurance. The FAQ page - had nothing on it but my name and the insurance agent's name and number. I checked all the pages on the website - no information about healthcare providers, etc. I went back to my email and read more claims and disclaimers - There it was - the single sentence that if I had gotten a chance to read it:

You received this email because you are an active member to Health Depot Assoc which may include health benefits accident, critical illness, and disability insurance. The insursance plan included in your Health Depot membership will not satisfy the individual mandate as defined by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

I hurriedly tried to find scam sites that would give me a clue about A1Healthcare. I came across three - this one actually had a complaint on it from late April of 2017. Then I called CitiBank to inform them of my situation. They cancelled the card and reissued a new credit card number.
