Zelle Reviews

I was sent $500 from someone through ZELLE. I received the notification of this on my cell phone. When I went to retrieve the money Zelle had closed my account. I called them to ask what happened and they told me it was closed because I had changed my phone carrier...but I still had the same number. So I said what does that have to do with my account being closed when I still have the same phone number? They couldnt give me any explanation for that and said there was nothing they could do about it.

Then a few months later I had (3) $450 debits put through my bank account from Zelle. My bank contacted me immediately because they dont approve of Zelle transactions, and asked me if I authorized them to try to do this...and ofcourse I certainly DID NOT. I went on to explain to my bank my previous problem with Zelle and they conducted an investigation. My bank then sent me a letter stating that the info I had provided them checked out and that they had restored the (3) transactions back into my bank account.

So my question is how was Zelle able to try to put these (3) transactions through when I was told by them that my account had been CLOSED previously??? And who at ZELLE authorized the person trying to take these monies out of my bank account in the first place??? I wasnt able to get ahold of anyone at Zelle that could answer any of these questions (naturally). They are a total scam and shouldnt be allowed to deal with anyones money period!

I was looking for a specific model of shotgun and used duckduckgo search engine. Caseyfirearms said they had it in stock as there is a sever shortage.

I was trying to purchase a shotgun from caseyfirearms.com. There was no phone number only an email address [email protected]. I sent them 798.00 by Zell Pay through my bank on 12-18-20 (2 payments one for 500.00 on 12-17-20 and one on 12-18-20 for 298.00. After the got my money all communication from them ceased.

The website looked legitamate so I went for it. I think Zelle Pay is a front for lots of illegal activity. I would like to get my money back. I filed a complaint with them and my bank (Wells Fargo). Neither one offered any encouragement for me recovering any funds.

Person to whom I sent cash through zelle never received it because she is dyslexic and transposed two digits of her cell #, but her name was correct in the transfer.

Whoever received the money kept it, and zelle was absolutely no help in retrieving it. That was $100 + $20 to see if it was working.

I guess this company was fraud company. I transfer $503.99 to International Cells Spot as it was requared after I ordered a cell phone Sansung Galaxy S8 Plus. It seems that International cell stop did not received money. Possible the International Cells Stop is scamming company because after transaction I did not received anything in respond to my many emails. I have no really idea who is scammer the Internationa Cells Stop or Zelle. But Zelle responded also strange. Never had possibility to talk to living someone but answering machine which is recommend me to contact my bank. My bank informed me that money transfer made. Would like to understand what is going on and who robbed me for $503.99

I used my Bank of America account to Zelle my father, $145. He didn’t have an account, so I tried to make one for him. I couldn’t, cause he doesn’t have a smartphone. So, I looked at Zelle’s website and they said they could I could cancel the transfer if the other person doesn’t have a Zelle account. And so I tried and it wouldn’t let me. I called my bank and they couldn’t do anything cause it went to an unused bank account of his. Ok, well the bank AND Zelle said, "IF THE RECIPIENT DOES NOT HAVE AN ACCOUNT, THE FUNDS CAN BE RECOVERED.” Well, he does NOT have one. Why does my bank seem to think it’s a lost cause?? I just want my money back or my Dad to get it.

My bank saw that money had been taken from the account causing NSF fees the receiver's bank claimed they did not see deposits from my Zelle or bank account so the receiver was not able to verify the money was transferred. so no evidence of a transfer and my bank shows the amounts were taken. I'm contacting the Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission. I urge anyone reading this looking for recourse add your report and contact the authorities. Zelle has misappropriated bank funds and basically lost the money. I'm out of $826.00 and another $624.00 if the money is not returned to the bank immediately. Stole or lost money they over drew from my bank account that never made it to the person it should have gone to

They overdrew my account and can't find the money. PERIOD!!!!

Twice now have people sent me money using Zellepay only to have the money disappear within the system. Today $500 has vanished. While I'm confident it will be found sooner or later ( up to 60 days per Zelle), this is a rediculous system of placing ownership for the process on bankers who are as clueless as the consumer (me).

This is troubling since the advertised benefit is "immediate transfer" of funds. I have no idea how a process like this could be sold to the big banks!!

Today's conversation with a customer:

Customer: I just sent you the money so give me the car part.

Me: I don't see the funds so I can't give you the part.

Customer: My bank says you have the funds.

Me: Well my bank shows I don't have it. Send it again so I can release the part.

Customer: The money is already gone from my account so I can't send it again.

Arggg.

The problem with this rediculous system (that many of the big banks have bought into) is that there is no responsibility by Zelle to solve the problems. Zelle refers you back to your bank to solve the issue. The banks have no idea how to do this. At least with Paypal you could go to their site to see transactions which they took responsibilty for and could address issues in real time.

Zelle is not ready for roll-out!!

All you have to do is look at their Google play reviews or comments on their Facebook page - it's ALL true. When the service works it's great - unfortunately when it doesn't it's the worst costumer service EVER. My husband transferred $190 from his Credit Union to my Capital One account on Friday. This is Tuesday night and the money has disappeared. I've spent 4+ HOURS on hold for Zelle - spoken with 3 managers - conferenced in the credit union and NOTHING. The manager at the credit union is just as bewildered by Zelle's answers as I am.

Zelle is saying that the money goes directly from bank a to bank b. If that were true then bank a or bank b would have the money - since neither bank does where did the money go?? Don't ask Zelle because they act like they have absolutely nothing to do with the transaction. They "flagged" the transaction - why you may ask (I know I did) - they won't tell you because it's part of their proprietary algorithm - SERIOUSLY???? Customer service is USELESS and that's after you spend 1-2 hours on hold. There just isn't enough bad things for me to say about them. I'm out $190 and another $130 in fees less than one week before Christmas.
