WorldPay Reviews

  • Oct 8, 2022

WorldPay is a monstrous, antitrust violating, monopoly cartel of credit card merchant services, aka FISERV, FIS GLOBAL, Vantiv, AccessMyIQ.com, SwipeSimple, LawPay, Persolvent, in order for them to evade responsibility for their criminal behavior which is almost a daily occurrence (they have a bunch of close-knit dickhead communist freemason/jewish types in their underwriter/risk department, who make a list and go after their small business or individual enemies) by arbitrarily blocking credit cards, debit cards, spontaneously holding on to client paid credit card money for weeks for no reason not allowing it to flow into the customer’s bank account, blocking people out of their online account monitoring apps such as accessmyiq.com or swipesimple.com, and otherwise forcing that targeted/affected individual to file complaints out of desperation with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, or the New York State Department of Financial Services, or the Federal Deposit Insurance Company (“FDIC”), or the Federal Reserve, or the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Florida Attorney General (these bastards apparently have a main location in Jacksonville Florida), the Federal Trade Commission, the Better Business Bureau, and any other agency that takes complaints about shitty dishonest criminally fraudulent credit card merchant service companies.

Unfortunately, filing those complaints out of necessity negatively affects your relationship with your bank, who probably has nothing to do with all of this harassment, but causes a rift and problem with your bank.

Ultimately the behavior of World Pay destroys your relationship with your bank, who winds up closing/dumping your account for no reason, and sometimes stealing tens of thousands of dollars that was in your account in order to “protect themselves against any risky charge backs” when they close your ability to see if anybody did that, to begin with.

Unfortunately the criminal and antitrust divisions of the United States Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Florida Attorney General will not do a damned thing to help you, because no doubt their leadership are taking tens of millions of dollars from World Pay in “lobbying” or “election campaign donations,” (aka “bribes”) thanks to the U.S. Supreme Court case, FEC v Citizens United, which allows billion dollar banks and corporations (like casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, International Financier George Soros, Energy Conglomerate Koch Brothers, or Hedge Fund kings Paul Singer, Robert Mercer, and Steve Cohen) to buy off all of our w***e politicians, legislators, presidents, and judges with cold hard cash, thus drowning out the hundreds of millions of American citizens and small businesses which can’t compete with this kind of corrupt bribe money.

I was contacted by NPC WorldPay regarding credit card processing services. I was told their rates are lower than any other company and their service will save me money because they don't have fees. I was told by sales person #D0242R009 that there was no early termination penalty or hidden fees.... WELL ALL THAT COULDN'T BE ANY MORE WRONG AND MISLEADING.

Their rates are undefined... meaning they cant actually give you a rate because "i'ts defined by the card company (visa, mc, etc) based on they type of card that is used! LIE #1. Their fees!!!! HOLY COW $75minimum /month for the luxury of having an account + $9.95/month also another luxury of having the account + $19.95 PCI compliance fee because we didnt set up whatever this is - also they didn't tell us to set it up or how to set it up.

Supposedly there was a separate email sent but we never got it and they cant prove they sent it + $165/year another PCI compliance fee + $595 early deconversion fee + $25 if need to change my bank info + $15 retrieval fee + $99annual fee + $90 Regulatory Accounting Assistance Program fee.... we haven't even processed a credit card yet and this is already more expensive than all fees I've paid my current processor for 5years!!!

THis also doesn't include the fees for the processing machines to the tune of $40.05/month. so... that said - I canceled. I called them and informed them that none of this was saving me money and I wanted it canceled. THey said OK, it's canceled just send back the machines and we're all good. They got the machines beginning of February 2019 but here we are in September and I've paid them $1788.20 in fees FOR NOTHING!!! I only processed ONE CARD on their system to see how much the rate was going to be to see if even with all these fees, if the rate was low enough to average down the cost... it's not.

In late January 2019 when I last spoke to them I was assured everything was canceled and we'd have no more fees... my error was believing them and not double checking my accounts to make sure they were not charging me any longer. After a pre-tax season review of my accounting, my accounting person noticed this charge every month and checked with me on what it was so they could classify it properly... low and behold I had no idea what it was and due to the hundreds of transactions on my accounts every month it was unnoticed.

I spent a week trackign down what this fee was and contacted a company that I have never heard of before "Merch Bankcard" and they informed me that WorldPay set up the account for me with them and it had not been canceled... I told them I canceled it with worldpay in dec2018 & jan2019. Merch Bankcard said it was not canceled because I had not filled out their form!

WorldPay said there was noting for me to fill out... So I filled out the form and Merch Bankcard said i wouldn't be charged anything else. Since that day I have been charged another $595 AND $104.90 (these are included in the total $1788.20 mentioned above). I called WorldPay at 3pm 9/9/19 but they were closed... I left a message to have someone call me back. They called me back today 9/10/19. The short story is: Everything is my fault and I'm not getting any money back. to bad, so sad.

Refund fees charged after cancellation. $1683.30

I am an officeally user and I enrolled in the worldpay credit card processing that was offered through officeally. I first contacted Brian (Senior Account Executive, Inside Sales) to inquire about the fees, cancellation policy, and other questions as realted to what Worldpay had to offer.

Brian was dishonest with me. He told me that I would be charged 1.69% of all transactions, there was no montly fee, or other hidden fees, and that I could cancel at any time. I later became aware that he lied to me to secure my business and would soon after disappear from any future contacts with me.

I received my first worldpay bill and it was loaded with monthly fees, other administrative fees, and percentages that were well above 1.69%. In fact they apparently have a tier system and you get charged a ridiculous variable percentage based on the type of credit card that our client uses. None of this was explained to me by Brian.

Customer service said they were unable to do anything about the charges and that I needed to call Brian, the rep. that originally signed me up. I called and emailed Brian on countless occasions. On the rare occasions that he answered his phone, he again would lie to me and say that he would look into my issue and call me back. He never called me back. On one rare ocassion he replied to my email and deferred me back to customer service, after I had already told him in my email that I had spoken with customer service and they have directed me to resolve the matter with him.

It gets worse, I decided to no longer wait on Brian as it was clear he was not interested in helping me and I asked for his supervisor's contact information. He hung up the telephone on me! On another ocassion I again asked for his supervisor's information, and he told me that he would transfer me to his supervisor, but he instead transferred me to customer service. I have all of my emails saved and all of my phone calls have been loggged. I have asked for his supervisor's contact information at least 5 times; all of which he has dodged and avoided.

I have no idea how they allow this individual to work there. He should be fired. I have read multiple reviews by other professionals who have had the same issue with Brian. I will continue to eleveate my concerns to the president of the company as this individual is dishonest, fraudulant, and should not be permitted to work there.

I am cancelling my service with Worldpay because of Brian, and I now understand why officeally (a huge reputable company) has decided to no longer work with Worldpay.

They jack up the monthly fees to OUTRAGEOUS amounts without proper due notice and ongoing notices and are thieves!!! My monthly fee was promised at ~$18 and they jacked it up to ~$94 for failure to comply with PCI (without ongoing due notifications!!) I was with United Merchant Services for years and they had my back. I should not have changed. Do NOT do business with World Pay! Please contact me for a class action lawsuit against them!!!

Without our knowledge they started a second account/ merchant ID -- kept charging us fees etc... for both accounts even though only one was "active" -- we closed our account with them to switch to another service and yet they kept helping themselves to monies out of our bank account -- thats when we realized they been charging us for 2 accounts for the last 4 months --

after 3-4 calls into their customer service department -- finally got someone who agreed we should not be liable for the charges and would open 2 "case numbers" to be reported to the department that handles refunds/repayments and we should be reimbursed in 7-10 days.

2 weeks later nothing had happened -- so contacted customer service -- gave them "case numbers" -- was told case closed -- no reimbursements -- have a nice day. Have tried reported them to FTC and Texas attorney general -- they appear to be able to do all this with impunity.

Worldpay and their agent Brian Hollopeter is a scam. They never mention the $179 yearly fee, and then When you try to deactivate your account they charge another $295 for Early termination fees.

If you are able to get someone to answer Customer Service- It took me 3 days to get someone to answer after 30 minutes on hold, they tell you it isn't in your contract, its in their separate "Terms of Service."

One of the worst business experiences I have had with a financial institution: ambiguous procedures and requirements, inept operators with bad English and lack of knowledge of issues, they give you a lot of run around. We thought we had credit card processing on our website as we were developing our site, they kept charging us more than they had quoted originally! our complaints were answered by ambiguous mombo jumbo...

later we did sell some items and realized after a few months that we have not received the payments, we were told that out site is incomplete and non-compliant! really? so why have you been charging us all these months and why you did not tell us about it? why you did not tell us that you are keeping our customers payments and why you refuse to release it to us or at least back to the customers (eventhough we have sent the merchandise to them)... why is it so difficult and time-consuming to run after you guys to get what is fair?

If we are not paid back all the charges and the funds are not released I will personally spend time to expose these frauds and file criminal complaints gainst them with FTC, CFPB and the Georgia Attorney General... these fonies should not be allowed to hurt businesses.

Avoid WorldPay Merchant Service. I signed on with them because they stated no minimum monthly processing amount. After the first month I was charged $499 for the purchase of the terminal because I had not processed $10,000 during the first month. Then the cancellation fee was an additional $295. So after one month I am out $800. Terrible customer service - I wish I would've read the reviews before signing the contract. BEWARE!

Beware of WorldPay's hidden fees and deceptive, unethical business practices. This company is what gives corporations a bad name around the world! They will rip you off and then hide behind endless customer service on-hold calls and big time run around. I sued them in California small claims court, but unfortunetly lost the venue challenge. At least we cost them a few bucks in staffing time to respond to the law suit. When I'm in GA later this year I will sue them there. We are actively investigating a class action suit against this scam operation. If you have been ripped off by Worldpay please message me as there are thousands of business like us who have been scammed by WorldPay.

I cancelled my account with WorldPay back in 2013 and they continued to charge my over $100 per month for service fees that I did not deserve. I called them to ask them to refund the charges and they refused, saying that I still had an account. I had to force them to put me on the phone with a supervisor (worthless) and they refused to refund me my money too. I am so angry!!!! They actually said, why did it take me so long to call?? I have never claimed to be the best record keeper in the world, but considering how unscrupulous people like WorldPay can be, I guess it's caveat emptor.

Don't do business with WorldPay. I have switched to S***** and my charges are low and I have never had a problem and NO CONTRACTS!!!

I gave them a chance to do the right thing, but they are not professional or helpful. I didn't realize that others have been treated the same way until I read the complaints on here and BBB.

After using Worldpay for five years, our business closed. I called several weeks ago and was told I could close our Worldpay account - I just needed to call back with the number written on the credit card terminal. I called back today and waited 1 and 1/2 hours for a live person. There was no indication of wait time - just an occasional message that someone would be with me shortly. Then was told about an annual automatically renewing contract we had - that was news to me and was NEVER explained to me when I signed up years ago. I was charged $495 to terminate my contract. Scammy, sleazing business practices with terrible cusomter services. Repeat S-C-A-M artists. Stay away from this company!!!

I am a officeally user (web based healthcare practice management system) and through the officeally, I first contacted with worldpay sales representative, Brian hollopeter, senior account executive. He explained to me that if I cancel my contract within the first month of service, I am not responsible for the early termination fee. I signed the contract on April 21, 2016 and I called him on May 2, 2016 to cancel out my service because worldpay credit card processing did not work through Officeally.

Brian Hollopeter said he is going to process my cancellation and I should get the confirmation email in 7 to 10 days. Instead of getting the confirmation email, I have found that monthly fee of $50 was taken out from my bank account. I called customer service and what I heard from them is my account is still active and I need to pay $295 early termination fee in order to cancel my service. After that, I called Brian Hollopeter and asked about my cancellation on May 2, 2016 and he remembered it and the cancellation should have been already processed by time. He hung up the phone after promise of calling back in next day and of course, I did not get his call in the next day.

Two days later, my secretary and I called his direct phone, multiple times and left message and I was not able to reach out to him until the next day when I called to his office phone. Now he changed his words trying to avoid his responsibility and left an email that “if you want to cancel you need to call customer service as they can do that for you and I am not sure about the cancelation fee.”

Now he asks me to write another cancellation request email if I want to get my money back and early termination fee to be waived and I am not sure what kinds of other trick he is trying to scam me again. I am tired of wasting my time to keep calling back and forth between customer service and this guy and I just decided to file report here.

I have done business with World pay since 2006. We did over 4 million a year with our Ecommercce business. I sold that company and started a new company. Once I started a new company I continued to use World Pay as our processor. in the first intital months we had a credit card filter issue and we had some charge backs in our initial opening months. They put a reserve on our account which wasn't that big of a deal. We started another website that was in a different industry with World Pay. World pay tied to two account togeather and immediately put our deposits on hold. After hours of talking to them and assuring them that we were not a fraudulant business they released our deposits.

Not a month later they started to hold a reserve. With out communicating or speaking to us they again froze our deposits. We immediately stopped running transactions through World Pay although we were still operating other Ecommerce companies thorugh World pay.

The problem that i have is the 180 day reserve. I have had reserves put on account in the past and they have removed them and worked with me on a reasonable fair level. They locked up $10,000 on a 180 day reserve that is now handled by the risk department.

This is fradulant in the manner that they hold funds that are not at risk. I have zero transactions that can be disputed or have a charge back filed. World pay still holds my money stating it is at risk. This is not true the funds are not at risk and the money they are holding does not belong to them.

This is a loop hole that they are takign advantage of customers. When calling to discuss this topic i have been hung up on three times and treated like a small minded business that should go away and leave them alone. The employees they have working for them do not care, show no class, and have no culture. I feel bad for there miserable employees as they can not wait to pass you off to the next rep in an out of control work environment.

There cusotmer service is terrible, there phone system is terrible and i have stuck with thiem through thick and thin. This is the last straw and I hope this message is read by any new customers and you do not use World Pay.

Worldpay will continue to charge your bank account, even if you close your business. They make it extremely difficult to rectify the problem and do not follow-up in any attempt to resolve. Their customer service only provides lip service and is totally unable and or unwilling to solve the problem. If you open a customer service case their response every time is a survey on "how did they do" nver about the issue or they tell you they don't have access to help solve the pronlem/ Do not under any circumstances use Worldpay for card services. Be careful with this as they also hide behind retailers who sell their services. I had to close the bank account to stop them from removing funds from mu account. I'm still trying to get a return on more thana years worth of charges to my account. I'd love to file a class action against them (anybody want to join in)

Highly upset with the 495.00 tremination fee after they had processed my credit cards for a number of years. the money was automaticly withdrawn from my account without my knowledge. not happy at all!!

  • Aug 21, 2015

World Pay are rip off artists. Called to let them know we closed our Pizzeria was told there would be $5,000 cancellation fee.

What are they nuts was told by an employee that the fee would be $5,000 I then asked to talk to a manager was told I could go into the managers voice mail. Then asked to speak to someone else that has authority was told no one was available. You know we have been with this company for a total of over 10 years they have made their money off of us most likely more than we should have paid and now they want MORE. It is not like they provided services to us and then we refused to pay for health reasons had to close our sole income. This is what makes people so distrusting of companies.
