I used world pay in one of my restaurants for my merchant service. I canceled in May after I went with another company. I was informed that I would pay an early cancelation fee which was fine. They have continued to charge me over $100 a month. When I called again to transfer, after over an hour on the phone, I refused to their offer to cancel with $100 fee and asked to speak to a supervisor. A day later I am still waiting.

In my other restaurant I use Heartland and have NEVER used Worldpay. They have been charging me $20.20 since last March. A total of $343.40. They said they would refund me $100 and I refused. I believe they have commited fraud.

We went with world pay because it interfaces directly with office ally our practice management and electronic health record system. We thought it would be great! the card swiper does not always work. The monthly and transaction fees were disclosed in the contract. We were a bit shocked at the advertised price of $49 is without all the extra percentage costs. If we have no transactions our bill is routinely $79. We called world pay today and much to his surprise he was told there is a $295 early termination fee and in march we would get charged a yearly fee of $179. This was the first time it was ever pointed out, of course. We are drafting a letter to office ally and colleagues who use office ally, advising them not to use world pay. This type of contract, without initialing each line item charge, is sneaky and unacceptable in business.
