First, the USA address on the website does not exist!!!

The location of this company is in Europe somewhere because his replies were 12-hours ahead of me in Oregon.

Use a USA company where ENGLISH is a first language, not a 3rd language because understanding your book and questions is very difficult.

I paid $384 for the "Delux Package" on 12-1-17 and was going to publish for Christmas but had 37-e-mail's with Nick and on 12-28-17 after a month of endless excuses, he told me Word-2-Kindle uses a 3rd party who does the formatting and he has nothing to do with formatting.

I looked at all the positive reviews but realized good people leave bad companies, but yesterdays reviews continue to drive suckers or customers.

Nick is a good P/R man, but he has no control over your book or the formatting or cover design.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY

The Services Sux

Nick and his crew are bogus. Stay away. They returned my book quickly. Now revisions are taking forever. They only got me $149 but I hate to feel robbed.

Completely Incompetent

Do Not! Use this company

They don’t save your revisions so if you go to revise anything, .. all of the former revisions will drop off! In essence, you will never, ever get it right!

Word 2 Kindle (Paperback & Cover Formatting)

The pros and cons are:

1. They reply to emails quickly saying they have received your document or instructions. However, they take a long time to send the corrected manuscript and often several items on the instructions are overlooked or done incorrectly.

2. They may be good in converting Word to Kindle (did not use this feature but understand a little of how it works), but seem to want to eradicate Word Styles therefore creating a mess of emails due to changing items centered on pages to top aligning and other Styles features.

3. My Table of Contents was missing 17 items! Thank God I checked it. They changed it back but forgot a couple. Again, thank God I checked.

4. The revision staff does not seem to be able to follow instructions. This leads me to believe they either do not speak English as a first language or are very careless.

5. They did a good job on my cover but then again I designed and edited it. Their framing of my photo was better than mine - loved it.

6. Overall they came through but it took 1 1/2 months until I could download the manuscript to Amazon.

5 stars for sales, 1 star for execution

Contacted Nick back in June to discuss our project. He was incredibly responsive, professional, patient, and courteous between June and August, when I paid. I had multiple questions as this was my first eBook project. After I submitted payment the response quality and time quickly went downhill. I actually don't think that the "Nick" that emails potential customers is the same "Nick" that communicates by email after payment is rendered. The first draft was simply the same manuscript sent to him but converted to a sloppy iPub file (and another format) with formatting mistakes. Second draft had the pictures but they were just inserted as an entire page! There have been multiple formatting restrictions that were never communicated by email and I waited for days for returned emails after I asked questions only to receive the same answer that he gave 2 days before. He claims to have an artist that designs the cover but then asked me to pick a stock photo for the cover. Still waiting for the third draft with pictures that don't take up an entire page after three days as I write. My guess is that he drags it along until 30 days and my free revisions have expired. DO NOT USE THIS PUBLISHER! You can publish yourself and hire someone that answers the phone to format your document for less money, aggravation and stress.

Word 2 kindle

I have received no sales for my kindle book. That means wasted time writing the book. I have three other books ready for publication, but I have second thoughts about Word 2 kindle. At least a good publisher would have a decent marketing plan, and not rush to publish. The marketing is not very good. I am not happy with their process. I paid around $ 439 which is cheap for publishing, but they are suppose to be a discount house. I found out Amazon does the publishing for free which questions the integrity of this organization. However, there was a rush to get my book on kindle and the package Nick recommended had no editing. I am sorry I had not gone with a regular book publisher. However, just as the previous complaint, Nick would take days and sometimes a week to get back to me on email.

Warning

I submitted 2 books. The first was done correctly. The second, however, did not fulfil the contractual obligations of the company. The company states:

Your eBook will run flawlessly on Kindle, iPad, and Android.

This did not happen with the second book. It was available only on Kindle devices. It would not download on an Ipad. I wrote to the company to point this out. The company did nothing to fix the problem. This meant that customers for the book who expected to read it on their Ipads were not able to download it. As a result I had to unpublish the book.

Unable to Follow Instructions

I spent a lot of time editing, formatting and setting up the Styles on my paperback book. All I needed was a small amount of formatting and the layout of the front and back covers and spine I had already designed. Something that should have taken a few hours took 1 1/2 months, 9 book revisions, and 4 cover revisions because they kept unformatting my work and not following the instructions I sent ahead of time and kept referring to! When I contracted with them I submitted a Word document and wanted to get it back with the appropriate changes in the same Word format. I got it back in an RTF format that I ended up converting to Word myself and that is when I noticed they had deleted all the Styles I set up! Also the Word conversion did not take some of the changes I made after it was downloaded to Amazon, so I have not updated the book. The final product turned out looking pretty good and they did put a nice frame on my cover photograph. However, Nick's staff must not understand English because they do not follow instructions and do their own thing. I noted in both their form and my instructions that I wanted 5.5" x 8.5" but the Rev I downloaded to Amazon got rejected because it was in 8.5" x 11!" They have budget pricing but it may not be worth the aggravation of numerous back and forth emails and the time to get everything right.

Happy Customer

I was happy and am getting lots of sales what is frustrating is you cant call them that is the problem you have to wait for an email, Nick is wonderful and their graphic artists did a fabulous job on my cover..

Newbies should avoid this operation

The "cover design" is you designing the cover and they format it. Zero professional input on design fro these folks. If you know the process of formatting a book they will do the mechanics well. If you are new they offer zero guidance and let you flounder into multiple revisions that, of course, cost more money. Go to FIVRR and find a competent process.

Great team of Word 2 Kindle.

Nick Caya did a wonderful job formatting my book to Kindle. His price was reasonable and he was professional, timely, kind in his replies, and informative. I highly recommend Word 2 Kindle. Richard and Connie Reed

Art and Song

Writing a book can be very challenging and it may fail to get to the finished product.

I was having problems until I found Nick and Mary at Word-to-Kindle. They were like an extended family guiding me through the arduous tasks.

They were both helpful, efficient, and courteous. I am very pleased and proud of the finished book entitled 'Art and Song' by J.C. Dillon.

Very professional, polite and reasonable.

I had no problems at all with this company. I am very pleased with the way in which my project was handled and the end product as well. I have published twice previously so do have some knowledge of products being offered writers. These services are reasonably priced and user friendly.
