Refused to cancel account and refund overpaid amount after multiple contacts without company logo so they can continue to charge maintenance fees, send my refund please ten dollars a month to hold my money Refused to pay me for the overpaid amount and threatened to continue to bill no cards to even use for this account, total thief and the worst customer service I have ever received this communication is strictly garbage and worst case scenario that any business can provide

I applied for a Wex Fleet gas card. Upon further review of the service the company provided I found the companies service to be of no use to me.

I then cancelled the account. I was assured by the customer service agent that I talked to at the time there would no fees assessed to my account. I recently recieved a bill in the mail for a $40 dollar setup fee and 3 subsequent late fees of $75 dollars each for a total due of $265.00 dollars for an account that I never used and cancelled. They refuse to drop the fees and especially the 3 $75 dollar charges. This is terrible customer service an apparently how they make money is by praying on unsuspecting victims and not being honest or truthful. Especially when I was told I would acrew no fees when I cancelled the account.

I have been doing business with WEX Fleet for years. We have a fleet of vehicles and normally charge $5,000.00 to $7,000.00 per month for fuel. We pay our invoices in full online every month.

This past month We forgot to schedule our online payment of a little over $5,000.00. We discovered the oversight a week later and immediately made the electronic transfer.

Three days later we received our next months invoice which included a "Other adjustments this pariod" fee of $810.00.

I called to inquire as to what this charge was for. I was told to look at the last page of my statement for an explanation of the charge. I then asked if this was a late fee. I was told that $717.00 of the fee was a late charge. I then complained that that was an outragous fee at 14% of the monthly charges for being one week late. (1.5% to 2.5% is typical) Their fee would be +/- 168% APR annually.

I informed them that if the fee remained I would stop doing business with them. I was then told that they would credit the fee on next months invoice, but I would have to pay it now and wait for the credit.

We are actively looking for an alternative to WEX.

These guys increased their rates from 2.99 to 6.99% in April, and that is a "Monthly Periodic Rate", not an APR. In other words, that is an 83.44 APR. You must pay your invoice online by 3:00 ET, and if not you are charged the amount due on your current invoice as well as unbilled charges. They recently bundled all of their miscellaneous charges under one heading: "other adjustments this period". Those charges include "special embossing", "monthly card charge", "paper delivery fee". This is a Fuel Card Company. You would be way better off to get any other credit card. These rates rival those of a cash for title business. I do not recommend - definately a Good luck to all my fellow business owners.
