Unfortunately my husband and I have the same story as everyone else who has left a review here. We had hired Western Investigations (Patrick Schneeman) to do an investigation of a subcontractor who had filed a fraudulent workman's comp claim against our business. Upon initial contact with Patrick, he seemed trustworthy and concerned claiming that he has worked with State Fund many times in fraudulent workman's comp cases and would be starting on our case right away. Although the outcome of the case was not guaranteed, in the event that Patrick found evidence against the subcontractor, he stated he would provide pictures, video, and a formal written report of his findings. Immediately after writing a check to him we had an extremely difficult time contacting him. When we were able to get a hold of him, he would usually tell us that he was, "out of town" or "working on another case." Eventually he put Dan Quidang, one of his investigators, on our case who was somewhat easier to get a hold of but still did not perform as contracted. We ended up taking matters into our own hands to obtain evidence for our case because Patrick and Dan were so unreliable. Sadly, we gave these two crooks a total of $5000 dollars with absolutely NOTHING in return. No pictures, no video, no formal written report, no contact. In an effort to prevent some other crook from defrauding us and our business, we hired Western Investigations believing that professional help would get us what we needed to close our case but, we ended up being defrauded by Patrick Schneeman and Dan Quidang instead. They are nothing more than internet scam artist who have no intention of providing any type of service but ONLY have the intention of stealing your money. Anyone reading this who is considering hiring this company do your research. If you go to dca . ca . gov you can search his license number (18932) and you will find that his license expired on 6/30/16 and prior to it becoming expired, he had been operating with a delinquent license for almost a year before. Furthermore, if you do your research on his accomplice Danielo E. Quidang you will find his mugshot along with information of his 2 year prison sentence for theft, possession of property, and possession of contraband. DO NOT HIRE THEM, THEY ARE FRAUDSTERS.
Combing the internet for PI's locate din San Diego, I came across a company named WESTERN INVESTIGATIONS. I called the number on the website and ended up speaking with Patrick Schneeman. I asked Patrick what was his fee to locate and serve. I was attempting to locate and serve an individual who was at fault and injured me in an automobile accident
No transactions were made at this time. Although I was seriously contimplating hiring Patrick for the case, I wanted to continue seeking other options, i.e., other PIs. Patrick contacted me the next night to follow up and to confirm paying for his services. I was not available at the time. Patrick called a second time the following day, leaving another message. When I got home that night, May 10, 2017, I called Patrick.
After 30 minutes or so of what I now consider rhetoric, I hired Patrick to perform the locate and serve. I provided the name of the PERSON OF INTEREST; FOUR POTENTIAL ADRESSES; AGE OF PERSON OF INTEREST; IN-STATE & OUT-OF-STATE DRIVERS LICENSES; DESCRIPTION OF ERSON OF INTEREST; HUSBAND or EX-HUSBAND"S NAME; YEAR, MAKE & MODEL OF VEHICLE; and LAST FOUR DIGITS OF PERSON OF INTERESTS SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER
With an alledged 25 years of experience, 21 years of which operating as founder of WESTERN INVESTIGATIONS, one would believe that it would not take long for Patrick to locate and serve the person of interest. The following is an email I sent to Patrick, June 6, 2017: Good morning Patrick. I am emailing you again. This is for record purposes. I do not expect you to respond to my message as you nor your "office staff members" have not responded to previous messages.
The purpose of this email is to dissolve the "so-called" business, you claimed to perform: to locate and serve. You have lacked professionalism and courtesy regarding my case and situation. I've sent seven emails to you since May 10, 2017, which was the day you received payment to locate and serve), you responded once; stating you would contact me as soon as you returned to your office. You never responded. I called you on three different occasions. Each time, you stated you would call back with information regarding the locate and serve. You never called back nor emailed me. The last time I talked to you, you even chuckled as if something was amusing to you. My wife called your number a couple times and left messages. Unfortunately, you never responded to her neither.
At this point in time, I respectfully request a complete and full refund. Moreover, what should have been done on my part prior to contracting you to locate and serve was to perform my due diligence in regards to your ability, or lack thereof to perform the task to locate and serve. Nevertheless, after shady practices conducted by you, I did my due diligence. I am in the process of reporting your illegitimate practices to the proper authoriies.
With this said, I expect a full and complete refund in a timely manner!
