Had Volpe Enterprises fix a flat roof on our home in 2007 and add a composite deck, walls and gate. I have done many complaints back in the day so I'll just try to summarize briefly. They had to be told how to install outlet boxes and redo. Installed a gate that rotted in one year, so they didn't use composite materials for it as planned. All trim around base of roof broke up in short time. Sloppy cuts that had to be redone. A long scratch through 13 new deck boards and a hole into a bedroom wall from a drill, both not discovered until after final payment was made. A two week job that went on for months. Too many complaints and phone calls that should have never been needed. A threatening call to my wife about returning some boards. When I angerly called Gary Volpe from work and told him never to talk to my wife again in this manner, he called my boss which could have ended badly and thankfully it didn't after explaining things. This is just a small sample of the problems this idiot caused us in 2007. I now feel compelled to add to this horror of events as we have again fallen victim to this so-called contractor. We are having the flat roof repaired by another roofer since the minor leaks are getting worse and our bedroom ceiling is showing water stains. We were hoping to have the composite deck boards removed, the leak fixed and the deck boards reinstalled so we could move next year. To our ultimate surprise and horror, the new roofers tried for half a day to unscrew the decking on just a few boards. They told us that the boards were incorrectly installed with the wrong type Robinson screws and would add alot of cost to the job to proceed. The screws they used were not intended for exterior use and have rusted so badly, the deck had to be rip-sawed apart and scraped. Once again, and ten years later, we find ourselves victimized by Volpe Enterprises's lack of talent and intelligence. I'm so angry that I just had to write this latest complaint, and get it out of my system. Beware of Volpe!
