This is the worst hospital, with the most unprofessional, incompetent, greedy, and inhumane doctors. We were smart enough to recognize the lies.
We brought our dog in with severe bleeding from a swelling on his behind, they took him in and had us wait for 2 hours. After 2 hours doctor Karlin Erk came out and started feeding us lies about our dog’s health, telling us he was almost dying from cancer and needed immediate VERY expensive treatment.
We calmly explained that our dog did not have any symptoms he was listing, and that we had blood work done recently, and it was great. At that point Dr. Erk realized we were better educated then he is used to and he started getting angry.
We politely told him we have our own vet and a clinic we would like to continue using and just need emergency treatment; to just please stop the bleeding and stabilize the dog.
Dr. Erk told us that he still did not stop the bleeding(after 2 h in the hospital!) and we would have to leave our dog there overnight(huge charge) for the surgeon to take care of the bleeding the next day(huge charge).
We were shocked to say the least, we were at the hospital for 2 hours and they did nothing to stop the bleeding! I asked doctor why the wound could not be cauterized and instead of an explanation he insulted me by correcting my pronunciation.
At that point we were having serious doubts about competence of the doctor. I went to the receptionist and politely asked if there was another doctor we could speak to. In 5 minutes Dr. Erk came out dragging our still bleeding dog out and told us to get out.
Thankfully and by some miracle we were able to stop the bleeding at home and our regular Vet Clinic was able to take our dog in next day. Our dog turned out to have a severe inflammation of the anal gland, which is a common occurrence in older unfixed male dogs; we were told it is such a common condition that the doctor should have recognized it immediately. I am not sure what is worse, is Dr. Erk that incompetent or is he malicious and heartless and is trying to make money on the misfortune of others?!
