Utilitech Lighting Reviews

  • Aug 11, 2015

I recently bought a Utilitech Daylight saving in-wall timer from Lowes. I brought it home and installed as I was going on vacation and wanted my lights to turn off in the day and on at night. The instructions were horrible, but seemed like I got through OK. However, I couldn't get the timer to go on in the night and off in the day. I could turn it on and off manually, I could program times, but I COULDN'T get it to do dusk-to-dawn as was marketed.

So, after 3 attempts to actually talk to someone ( on three separate days!) on the phone, the reps tells me that this particular model has know problems and just doesn't work in the dawn to dusk mode! "So, what can I do about it?", I asked. "Nothing", the rep replied. "It just doesn't work". So, can it be replaced, or send me a new one? NO. "Nothing can be done"

So, NO new one, and no offer to repair... and yet the warranty states, " The product is guaranteed to be free of defects for a limited period of one year for the date of purchase".
