US-1 Van Lines of FL, Inc. Reviews

These people are the worst. What a bunch of thieves. They have been at it for YEARS. The authorities themselves have been disappointing. They want me to pay off criminals. What is wrong with THAT picture? So it can continue with someone else? NO WAY! Here comes the blitz now. One letter EVERY SINGLE AGENCY.

I will NOT let this go because nobody wants to stop them. Someone will listen when EVERYONE is notified. If I could get revocation before, I'll do it again. If they were fair, they would offer a solution AFTER slapping violations and not a minute before. I'll take it all the way to congress if I must but I intend to do the right thing. I will NEVER allow others to be victimized and let these thieves get off.

Radio, TV, phone, government, AMSA, EVERYONE will know who they are. The complaints are numerous and never-ending from customers being stolen from, ripped off, lied too, attacked, money and weapons are gone, no lading to know which is what, NOTHING. Eventually, when being peppered with calls and letters, someone will do something.

I decided to stand up to these con artist instead of caving in to their demands. I came upon this site when looking into the activities of this company. I will also echo this. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT USE THEM. EVER. When you write about them, they love to respond in nasty terms to try and make you look bad but it usually comes back to bite them. Everything I've read so far is true. In fact, one reader wants anyone who was a victiom to contact him and I urge you to do so. They operate under several names and I have suspected them to also have ties to a company called Long Distance van lines despite their best efforts to deny it. I found another possible one today. America Moving.

They will NOT move all of your things. The will blame you for everything. This Lisa caracter even said I had things all over the place. I simply asked her if she really was that clueless. I'm MOVING! things are going to be all over. What a genius! Then she demonstrated her wrongdoing in writing. When She sent a notice I almost passed out laughing. She sure showed me. They are bullies who read from a script. Fight back! If you're paitent and look for info on them, you can successfully catch these crooks in the act. It was my investigation into them that has allowed me to go after them criminally. Everything is diverted to one person, Lisa. I can only say, if that's the best they have they are in deep trouble. I intend to litigate and press charges if possible against that liar personally even if I have to board a plane to do it. She's quick to lash out as bullies do and she will have her staff doing her bidding like a high school vendetta.

She can't even remember her lies and it is the same email that she sent to me that now has this company facing theft charges. They know that because the qiuckly SHUT HER UP!! Oh I intend to press full charges against them for the month they have UNLAWFULLY held my things and seek damages. I think she thought that it would not come to that and she can do what she wants. NO YOU CAN'T. If she or anyone tries to discredit what they know is true by bashing me (like they tried before) I'll put the letter on FULL display and let the people decide. She makes Satan look like an altar boy. What a miserable life. Not only did they leave stuff (a lot)behind, the GA location is nothing but a farce to get customers.

Yes, I checked it out AND I can prove it. When you're hated like she is, people will talk. She instructs her workers to repeatedly break laws that can put them out of business and/jail and I sent a LONG list of what they did. I am now in contact with the GDPS to intervene and have sent detailed notes about my suspicions to BBB. A big fat packet. They flat out stole my things and she had the audacity to tell me not to post negative comments. Its ALL negative. The positive ones I'm convinced were done by them. Why? They were not smart enough to change the wording. You see the same comments for DIFFERENT companies. I'm posting as many comments as possible everywhere. If it helps one customer, my job is done.

Initiation: very friendly, acted attentive, sent estimator out the following day. Next contact: George came out to the house, did estimate. I thought price was a bit high and after some negotiation secured an extra 2 months of storage (or so i had mistakenly thought) i later found out they charged me for these. Move day: 3 Movers showed up early with a foreman. They had to use a couple of extra boxes and said the charge would be minimal. (I did not find out how much exactly until i went back over my paperwork which was alot more than i consider minimal) they followed me to bank so i could pay the deposit (cash or money order only). Returning to the house i noticed that my personal belongings were gone through by the movers which i had not noticed until i returned and after they had loaded up and had been paid. They even shook me down for tips. I called the warehouse manager Lisa as well as Amanda to complain and Lisa chalked up the incident as "curiosity" and assured me that there was no problem. This is where i not only began to worry but if the movers were still at the house i would have had them unload immediately and have called another company.

While in storage: i started doing more diligent investigation online and saw the torrent of bad reviews. I began calling to check on my goods and was repeatedly assured that there was no issue and that my stuff was fine. i made several attempts to set up a delivery date before getting one. They didn't show up and when i called back again they said that the delivery date would now be "flexible". I threatened to come back down from gainesville to miami to repossess my goods, forcefully if necessary, if my gooda were not delivered promptly after a week of this. My original estimate increased over $1000 between the priginal estimate and this time. Delivery: i got a call that my goods were finally going to be delivered. The day i was expecting delivery the movers didn't show and i got a call from them around 7 pm. They said they would be willing to deliver that night but wouldn't make it to my house until after 9pm. They said they could make the delivery early the next morning.

I said ok. The next morning they showed up around 10:30 am. I met them at the top of the driveway and asked them which side they intended to offload from, the driver replied that he was ok and proceeded to pull down the drive. When he got to the bottom he then wanted to turn the truck around and i told him he needed to go back out to the road. He ignored me and got the truck hung in the sand oner top of my well lines. As they called Lisa about getting a tow out of their predicament, she tried to pass the towing charge off on me as if it was my fault the truck got stuck. They opened the truck up and began unloading it from the stuck position (Lisa tried charging me for this extra travel as well).

When opened the inside of the truck looked like it had rolled down a mountain and there looked like there was at least 1 if not 2 other houses that needed to be delivered to after mine. They had problems even finding some of my stuff in this mess, for which i had to dig and locate several pieces as i was certain i would take more care looking than they had in loading it. About 45 mins-1 hour in one of the 2 movers (yes they only sent 2) got sick and threw up in the yard. As i finally started unboxing my goods i found broken glass, a missing drone, missing tools, and scratched furniture (2 pieces of which were antiques). They offered to pay me .60 cents per pound after i filed several pages of paperwork, sent multiple photos, waited for an estimator to come to my house, and told me that the check might take up to 90 days to arrive. Lesson learned and a very costly one at that. Do not use this company.

In order to get a moving quote I was forced to give a credit card number for a $200 deposit.(Reference No:M1151458). When I received the quote I did not understand some of the charges. The total amount due was based on items that were inflated so the true price was not as noted. This is important because I was required to get a certified check which was 70% of the total. I wanted an explanation of other charges that could have been incurred and a true price the 70% would be based on. I DID NOT SIGN THE CONTRACT AUTHORIZING THE MOVE. I did not receive any documents or publications which should have been sent with a contract.

I called to question these charges and no one returned my call. When I didn't get a response I cancelled the order. I specified that I needed a morning pick up as the buyers of my condo were to take occupancy later that day. That was another specifictaion I had for using them. I was assurred there was no problem. I never got a reply, an email, or acknowledgement, but later in the day, after 3 pm a moving company came to my condo to pick up the furniture. They did not even present themselves as US.1.

Ms. Elmendorf, the president of the company, would not even accept my telephone call but notified her

office credit was not to be forthcoming. How can she do business like this without penalty. There are over 30 complaints lodged against them and I am calling for summons, or some act of retribution for withholding sums of money for services that they did not provide.
