UrgentCare2go Reviews

  • Oct 20, 2018

It was 10:30 PM and I had an abscess on my hand that was so bad my whole hand was swollen to the point where I couldn't unfurl my fingers, raise or lower my arm, or even unbend my elbow. All of the urgent care clinics were closed and I dont have insurance so the ER was my only option besides UrgentCare2go. They sounded great at first: convenient and affordable. Especially since I couldn't even drive with my hand like that and my husband also had a medical problem keeping him from driving, so my only option would have been to call an ambulance to get to the ER which was 10 min from my condo. I called and asked if they could give me a doctors note for work the next day since I knew I would not be able to work the next day with my hand in that condition. They told me yes they will give me a doctor's note. I made the appointment, paid, and MA Andrea was at my place within 25 min. She was friendly and professional. She took my vitals and then we had to wait 15 minutes for the doctor to Skype call us. She had to text and call him to get him to call us.

When the Skype call started, the doctor didnt even get on video chat, he just did voice chat with a picture of his face on the call screen. I showed Dr. Nangrani my hand and explained what happened, and he told me that I need to go to the ER and get x-rays and bloodwork done. I asked if he could prescribe me any medication like antibiotics or steroids for the swelling, and he just told me to go to the ER and then hung up on me. Then MA Andrea packed up her stuff and left. My husband has had the same condition before and he had always been prescribed steroids and antibiotics for it, no x-rays or bloodwork needed. I asked the MA for a doctors note and she told me to call UrgentCare2go. After she left, I called UrgentCare2go again and they said that they cant send me a doctors note, but that I can email corporate and see if they might send me one. That doctors note for work was one of the main reasons I even made the appointment, because I could lose my job without one. My husband finds a way to get me to the ER, and they tell me that while they would like to do x-rays and bloodwork, or even just bloodwork, they can also just prescribe me some antibiotics and strong ibuprofen instead if I prefer. I have since emailed corporate and have recieved no response yet.

This company is a fraud and all they do is rob you. Do not get scammed like I did. I am contacting the BBB and anyone else I can reach.
