I am the CEO of a business in Denver, CO. I don't want to get into specifics on my business because I fear retaliation.

Jason Zilber, Levi Blaylock, and Troy Hollenbeck and several other people (which I wasnt able to get their names) from a Unishippers office in Denver, CO have been calling my business non-stop for the past year! They call and then make up fake reason for why they call and try to get information on my shipping practices.

Just the other day Troy Hollenbeck called and said that he could see my 52 week average shipping volume with UPS and was able to get me more savings. I called my account manager at UPS and he said this was a LIE! My shipping manager also has notified me that he has called and said that he was with UPS and is moving a dropbox in the area. Unishipppers isnt UPS, they just have a contract with UPS. What type of fraudulent business encourages their people to tell flat out lies like this?

Jason Zilbert called the time before that and tried to push around my staff verbally over the phone.

From what my receptionist, shipping manger, and supervisisors have told me, he was very rude and demanding and then just hung up abruptly. I looked him up online and he is the Sales Director for Unishippers. Why the hell is a Sales Director making false sales calls to my business??? Doesnt someone with your position have better things to do than make cold calls to businesses that arent interested? STOP!

On multiple occasions we have also received calls from Levi Blaylock. He just continues to call and demand shipping information from my staff and myself. If they dont give it to him he tells them he is partnered with UPS but keeps asking about my fedex shipping information. If I wanted to ship with Unishippers or UPS, I would just call you! Levi keeps trying to get shipping invoices from us and its now at the point of harassment. Levi Blaylock lies and says he is a national account representative to try and gain clout (it doesnt make a difference to me if you were an international or global account rep). Whenver he calls Levi also never mentions that he is with Unishippers but instead hides behind UPS's good name! If Unishippers was so reputable then why does Levi try to avoid naming the company he works for? It all just sounds fradulent!

I cannot even begin to tell you how many other calls I have received from outside the state from other offices and the other sales people from this Denver office that have called to harass me and my employees. I wont go into the details of those calls because I dont have their names yet. I will be sure to update once I do.

Beware of these guys! They sound like scam artists and are engaged in fradulent business practices. They never mention they are with Unishippers, they lie and say they work for or with UPS, and they make up account information that they dont even have. If you guys keep calling my business with these fradulent business practices I am getting my attorney involved! Stop calling me unless you are going to be brutally honest and if I say no, that means NO!!!

Malicious review

I truly feel that this is a false a malicious review. This is not how our business operates and I will not allow someone to drag my name and my company's name through the mud. For all I know this is either a disgruntled employee or a business that we had to send to collections because they don't pay their bills. If this CEO would like contact me directly please feel free so that we can clear the air, you clearly have my email address somehow.Cheers!

It seems as though in order to secure/save their jobs- those remaining in the sales department of Unishippers in Midvale, Utah have gone so far as to "alter" the recruiting/hiring and training practices at their HQ south of SLC. With their telemarketing recruiters combing the internet for any warm body willing to attend their twice-a-week "group interviews" it is clear that they are not interested in the right personnel so much as the "right now" personnel. But why would a company that claims to be growing do such a thing? After all turnover is expensive and overall a waste of time when you're offering a small base salary up-front during training.

UNLESS- Unishippers actually wants naive drones who don't think anything is off about doing all the work and giving all the credit for everything they do during their 90-day "training" period to their "team-leaders" and while later on those same "team-leaders" will pray they've accumulated enough to justify keeping their job once World Express absorbs them, those former trainees now supposedly on their own suddenly find themselves with little to no books of business and coincidentally their leads seem to disappear, or become re-assigned without warning. Does Unishippers care about their reputation? Unlikely. They are months away from being rebranded as World Express and so who cares what kind of a name we make for ourselves until then.

Lord knows Ridgemont Equity didn't choose to keep World Express on top for no reason and who is to say if they even know what their staff at Unishippers is doing until the merger is complete. After all, it isn't too far fetched to believe that after World Express is properly valuated that it might be sold by Ridgemont to another entity entirely. So in the meantime if the Unishippers employees have to "bend the rules" and slant the numbers in their favor so they can hold on to their jobs, who cares what they do to their fellow men/women/neighbors. The only thing that can be said for certain is that decent, hard-working people are being taken advantage of at Unishippers and they are clearly getting away with it.

We paid $1,700 for a Private FTL Shipment, shipping expensive equipment Clearly Marked DO NOT STACK. They my freight so the truckline could Double Bill and Ship 2 other orders inside My Private Truck. When notified Unishippers acknowledge the truckline could not do that. I asked for a Discount since it now shipped LTL common freight they called back and said Sorry the truckline said No.

I told them this was Fraud and Not to charge my Credit Card, I sent emails with pics of shared freight on my Private truck.

Once again they said that was a Violation of the Bill of Lading and I stated I would turn them into my bank for Fraud and not to pay the bill, I would see the truckline in court. They said it was going up to Senior managers.

Unishippers was sneaky and waited several weeks before they invoiced and charge my card for the freight bill. When confronted with this fact, they apologized and said Yes, a Private FTL truck can not be used for other freight. They said they had already paid the truckline and there was nothing they could do.

We ship 2 or 3 times a day and only after I actually pulled my business did they come back and offer me a $400 discount.

I told them on day one, I would have been happy with $400 but after the trucking company took advantage of me and Unishippers lied to me and repeatedly said there was nothing they could. It wasnt until they faced losing a volume account, did they do anything.

Be careful, they will give you a good rate but any problems or claims and you are on your own!

I told them to keep their $400 and switched to Echo Global, who beat their rate by 10%, so in the end I am glad as this will save me Serious $$$ a month in freight charges.

Of course, I am also a Fraud case with Credit Card and reporting this transaction to BBB. Buyer be Ware!
