Found out that my credit cards have been used for Uber. An underage kid got a hold of my cards and created an account with their name then used them to travel around Miami for a whopping $165 in Uber charges! How Uber lets underage kids open accounts? The driver doesn't even verify their ids! Now Uber won't answer my emails about this situation and is just incredible that a kid can get away with this! Uber- verify ids before letting people open accounts and use other peoples credit!!!

I took an uber ride from Medellin, Colombia to Manizales, Colombia. I used the app to get a fare estimate to decide if I wanted to take uber or a bus. I was okay with the fare I was estimated from uber and decided to take uber.

At the end of the trip I was charged an amount that was consitent with the fare estimate. Three days later my card was charged more than double what I was origianlly charged making my total fare nearly three times what I was quoted in the fare estimate. I received an email from uber saying "we corrected the fare" for your trip. More like "we fradulently charged your card"!!!

When I contacted customer support by email, i never received a response, but my account was disaabled within 24 hours after sending the email. I am considering contacting an attorney. I see this is an ongoing problem and would warrant a class action lawsuit. Uber fare estimate says "This is just an estimate. Acture fares may vary slightly based on traffic or discounts". I would say that nearly three times that estimate is not a "slight" variation!

My friend has been a driver for UBER for sometime, never with a complaint until a passenger complaint that he was driving too slow, and he was suspended. he was not driving too slow he was at the speed limit. he will never go over the speed limit. Another customer put a comment about him that he didn't know the city when he was born and raised in this town.

Uber problem is that believe only in the passangers and these for not paying for a fair will say whatever is convenient.

He was suspended from driving and not only that he has to take a class that cost $60 with a final exam (that he has to pass) to be able to drive again when his suspension is over.

I feel that it is a ripoff from this company and everybody needs to be aware of their business practices. You make a living driving for them, you provide excellent customer service, and you can be supended or fired anytime because somebody lies about you because not reason. You can be unemployed at any time for not reason. They don't offer support to the drivers at all!

I am a current driver with uber.My friend signed me up under her promo code. After she was not credited I was asked to email Uber and state that she reffered me. We received a email back from Uber confirming the refferal and both of us would get credited the $100. My friend responded back that it was supposed to be $500 along with a picture of the $500 promo they had. After 2 days Uber responded back and confirmed that both of us would get $500. Well a week later I get a call stating that I don't qualify for that promo and I only get $100. Well after a heated phone call I email Uber and express how messed up it is that they are not backing up what they told me. Well I received another email the next day from advanced support asking me to explain what happened. Well after a long reply and a day later she emailed me back apologizing and stating that they will go ahead and honor what I was told. Well today 10/19/15 I get yet another call stating that I was given the wrong information again and I will not be getting the $500. So once again Uber screwed me over. Not only do they lie about how much drivers make they also lie about other things and do not like to pay or stand by their word.Uber is a joke of a company.

This past weekend I had used uber to go from Newport Rhode Island to Narraganset. The uber charge at that certain time had a surcharge 4x's the amount. I understood those charges and excepted them. The total of the ride came to $87.60. I knew what the charge would be because the app allows you to know a rough estimate of the ride before you order the uber.

The next morning I recieved an email from the company saying that because there was an adjustment to my uber from the night before charging me and additional $89.73 because there were 5 people in the car. The total being $177.33. When I emailed the company I got one response. when I responded back to the email on Sunday I have never gotten a response since. I have sent various emails and have no recieved any form of communication from this company.

I was never told of these charges prior to getting in the car and the email which their support team sent me stated that it was to make sure the driver was paid a "fair amount". I am confused that since there was one other person in the car it costed me more than the original ride itself. If i would have know about these charges I would have gotten a hotel near the resturant I was at because it would have been the same price. $177.33 is a ridiculous amount for a taxi ride that was a total of 35 min. I understand adjusting the price, but to that amound is unheard of, it was more than the ride itself.

Robin cotacted me stating that I was approved for a $5,000 loan. She told me I was only going to have to pay 150 a month for 26 months or something like that she told me to start off I would have to wire $150 to Western Union and that will start and they will transfer the $5,000 into my account that's when I got a little suspicious I did not contact them back. They do have my social security number my routing number my account number to my bank and also very personal information about me. She had this information before hande she never asked me for it. I'm a little worried cuz people have my information without me even knowing.

Uber Cleveland is advertising on Craigslist that you can earn uber money driving for this company. They also tell people who use their application, ie the passengers, that a TIP is included in fare. LIARS !

This Company presently has Many Law Suits pending for Drivers in California, where they are based. Here, in Cleveland Ohio, they have no phone number to reach in case you need them.

Do not even ''think'' you are insured, as a driver, although they provide a Generic Accord Form with a name of an Insurance Company with a million dollar liability, IF you drive for them, god forbid u get in an accident, THERE IS N0 coverage from your private passenger auto policy.

DO NOT work for them. They also rip you off on your pay.

I honestly think Uber is the worst personal taxi/ chaffeur service. My mother has worked for them and they're not proffessional at all insisting they are a two way street when it comes to rating. They only take the customer's word instead of both the rider and driver's word. But not only are they horrible they take out large quantitiies of fees from the money you made.Beware of Uber they cheat you not only out of the job but give a rating system that either keep you at a good standing or not so good. Not only that you will feel like the company never look at the email if there are comlplaints about riders. You get a brand new car just coming into the dealer and pulling it out to work the riders wil damage. You need the vehicle to keep clean inside and out and keep the riders occupied by letting them listen to music. You tell Uber and they don't do anything if there is an issue caused by a rider. How can anyone keep a vehicle clean at all times when you have riders to who dirty up the back seat or damage the vehicle? There have numerous issues with the navigator connected to the application and a few riders had noted that I told them I had said something about it then I turn it off then rate them and have them guide me to their destination.

Like many suckers I at first believed all the Uber pitch h for new drivers. Since I have a CDL I was "hired" immediately. After working two weekends I did the numbers: It wasn't good. Even with the weekend hourly guarantee I was making LESS than minimum wage. Then factor in my vehicle depreciation AND the self employment tax I will have to pay IRS and I was actually subsidizing Uber! No wonder they have made billions! All on the backs of working people! Uber also promised me a $150 new driver bonus after I did 20 trips. So I did 20 trips then got an email I actually had to do 25 trips and the fake bonus was $100 not $150. Huh, WTF? So I did 5 or 6 more trips and the lying bastardos texted or emailed me that there was a "local civic ordinance" preventing them from paying me! Lying Capitalist Theives they are! BTW Uber also said they covered every driver with "a million dollar policy" yet providing NO evidence in writing! Electronic communication enables Uber to get away with fraud! I would like to see Uber gone!

Hello to all Uber drivers , I started to drive for Uber last week just to see how this company work , came to find out Uber does not have efficient support to their drivers or training , a short 16 munites video that is , you will need a very clean car with late model in order to qualify to drive , your own insurance , your maintainance , your gas , your time , bottom line is you do not make 16 or 20 dollar an hour , Uber has miss leading to the customers that they will get a very nice and near first class ride in the Uber X car , which is not true , most Uber X drivers really can not afford or live up to Uber requirement , Uber also employ the tatic of texting the driver with instruction how to improve the service , which is nice but Uber forgot that these are normal untrained taxi drivers with under pay from Uber ,

there is not a a phone or contact person for help when driver has issue , personally I don't see how I can't break even driving for Uber , consider Uber take about 25% of the fee I make , with test first week , a full tank of gas cost me $60.00 , I can only make 125.00 from Uber , minus 20% and Uber fee for connect me with the riders , my time , wear and tear of my near new CRV , insurance , and the of the I got 9 of the 5 star out 11 ride which Uber call it under perform , as far as I know I had try very hard to accommodated every rider , but there are going to be some you will never be able to please no matter what you do , I wonder if Uber themselves can get 5 star rating at 80% all the time , being a driver for Uber you only have few choices help On the Uber page , there is no phone or any other help if running to problems , and if got in an accident you will be in for bunch of hurt your insurance will rise , you will have cover your riders and possible lawsuit , think twice before you drive for Uber .

I think Uber is over hype and the people behind this company is about the stock rather than care for any of their drivers or riders , in the end Uber will make all the money destroying the the taxi ride share industry , they need to be regulated and provide assistance to their drivers and riders , remember there is no phone number to call uber for drivers and riders and that is not fair to the people .

Uber picked me up. It did not take me long to realize the driver was druk. When the incident was report, Uber blamed me and not the taxi driver. In order to avoid law suit they shut the account and never refunded the money. I was with my family.

I do not recommend using Uber. They are hiring people right and left. Lift has more stringent hiring requirements.

Leadership did not do anythig about the incident. I contacted the CEO and no one responded.
