U.S. LUMBER Reviews

  • Jul 30, 2018

My husband had worked there for over 3 years and they have done nothing but take advantage of him and his guys in the yard. Management works them from dawn to dusk with no appreciation. My husband was respectful enough to give a two week notice ( bc he found another job that will pay him what he is worth and not take advantage of him by paying him a salary of 50 hrs a week and working him 65+) and they screwed him over. The GM said he would allow him to be paid the 8 Vacation days he EARNED and then the Operations Manager, Tony came in and said he will NOT allow it.

He did not even have the respect to tell my husband to his face, he was going to continue to allow him to work then tell him at the end of the day. Another Worker is the one that was MAN ENOUGH to tell my husband what was really going on. Tony ONLY looks out for himself and denied my husband his vacation days because he was so bitter. For him to end a conversation with " I will keep your number, you will be calling me in 1-2 weeks" just shows how much of an arrogant Jerk he is.

I will be sure to spread the word to EVERYONE I know so they do not go there and work for that awful company. They over work their guys with crappy pay and no sense of family time.

If you have a family, I would continue to look else where because you will have no life outside of work. If your looking for good benefits, keep looking too. Its ridiculous how expensive it is as well. If you are looking to move up in a company, keep scrolling.

This company is a joke. If they are going to screw over their hardest/ most dedicated worker, they will have no problem doing it to anyone else.

Word of advice to any Current workers- do NOT give a 2 week notice if you have vacation time! Take your vacation then call on your last day and tell them you wont be back because you will not get what is owed to you otherwise.
