Just got a bill for a toll charge for plates issued me, but never put on my new car and still in the rubber band from my car dealer. I had long since put own US Army vanity plates. Now I have to dispute a lousy $1.45 toll and a $1.15 bill by mail charge. My car, with my vanity plates, already has a toll sensor on the windshield! This entire computerized society sucks. Just wait until AI is in charge and we have no recourse. It's coming, folks; it's coming.

I was billed and i don't own a car. There is no previous vehicle even registered under my name in this state. Not only that, but the location in which the supposed toll took place is on sh130, a place i have never been. I notice that an identical situation occurred with another scamion respondee, and for the same freeway--in 2012! just like in that report, when i enter the account number on the txtag site, it does not exist. Strange that over 8 years later the same scam is being run.

I received mail from TxTag.org with charges saying I had been in Texas in October of 2019. I would love to go to TX, but have never been. This had my IN license plate on it, plus the streets and the charges I had supposedly went on.

The account number I put in on the website they provided was not found. I had no luck at getting through to them, phone lines were down each time I called. I am wondering how I got to TX without knowing I was even there lol.

very poor customer service

I have since December to try and take care of this. Every month I call in and am led to believe by their customer service, the problem has been resolved. Next month get another bill, more fees added. I am disputing the fees, I have been told they would be removed, but each month they are there with other fees. I have spent hours trying to get this resolved. If I treated my customers this way, I would be out of business. But this is something they will not have to worry about because they have no competition and it shows how they treat their customers.

I received a bill from Consumer Service Center for TxTag on 4-20-18 for a toll charge on Hwy SH130 on 2-24-18 in the amount of $3.54. The bill had my current Fl license plate number. I have not been in Texas for over 45 years and have no plans to go anytime soon. The bill then went on to say that if I didn't pay it my vehicle could be impounded and the Texas Department of Motor Vehiclecould denigh its registration. It even mentioned and threatened legal action with by the TxDOT.

I will be bringing a copy of this bill to the FL DMV and the Sarasota Shrrifs Office and also sending a copy to the Attorney General. This is crazy and I refuse to pay for something I do not owe.

To all concerning parties,

The problem is short and evil, TxTag billing is corrupt and should be illegal. The problem is they hold back charges then charge the customer for crazy late fee.

Example 1,

You are charged $2.99 for a toll fee and they dont send a bill till youre have late fee have are about $27 a month for every fee, all due to their billing issues. I cant pay a bill you're not sent.

Example 2,

I have paid other bill after these charges without TxTag charging for passed charges.

Please help for a $37 fee they are charging $467 because their billing process is broke or corrupt .

I had my account set to autopsy with my credit card. Apparently my card expired and they tried 3 times to charge it then removed it from my account. No email or message was sent to me. I would take the toll road from time to time when the traffic was bad on other roads. Charges started racking up. Then I received a notice when the balance got bigger. I added my car d back to my account. They then started charging my card 20.00 a day and it put me into overdraft on my bank account. I then called txtag and was told the system will continue charging me daily until the balance is caught up. I told her I did not give them permission to do that. She said autopay works that way. I have had my txtag account for several years and a couple of years back they erroneously billed me and they did not charge my card then. I also spoke with them and they removed the charges then. Now they charge you the refill charges daily until your account is caught up. That is also a bank charge with each transaction. Then the girl tells me that they also charge you 25.00 for each txtag record that happened after my card was removed. So now the bill has ballooned to over 4000.00. How do they get away with robbing people this way in this day and age? I have had conversations with many people and almost everyone has a story of getting all of these high balances due to their fees they keep adding on. What a scam.

I am from out state went through one toll, I tried to pay it online with no success so I called in and gave them a credit card and asked to pay. They said everything was taken care of. Now a couple of months later I get a notice from a collection agency.

I called into TxTag to try to get it taken care of again and they seemed very used to getting these calls and made it nearly impossible to talk to a supervisor, and made it impossible to prove that I had in fact called in.

In the end I am just going to pay because it is going to take longer than it is worth to try to rebut it.

I received a billing statement from TxTag stating that I owe them $3.45 - mind you I have not been through Texas in at least 5 years. I give them a call and tell them that there is no way this is for me. The representative tells me that the car that is in question is a Honda Civic - funny, I have never in my life owned a Honda Civic. She then tells me that this charge was from 2015 - again funny since I have not been throught Texas in at least 5 years! She tells me that the one and only way I can get this off of my record is to go to my local Missouri DMV, obtain a Vehicle History Report and submit it to TxTag. They will then review the information and see if they can transfer this charge out of my name to the correct individual. And of course if I don't pay it, it can go into collects and ruin my credit. Total BS.

I got a bill in the mail for toll fees. I live in Waco and these fees are from Austin. they occured in January and February of this yea. The account number on the bill is not the same mumber as my account. I have not been anywhere in 2 years. I haven't even enough miles on my car in that time to have made the charges and I have proof of that. They want me to pay $1.93. I had 20.00 credit on my account from 2015. They told me that because I had an account with them I had to pay it anyway. I loose my 20.00 credit and have to pay them 1.93.

I have been "attempting" to communicate with the TXTag Toll office via email/phone since October 17, 2016. I emailed to ask why I had received a bill with interest added onto a toll fee that should have been automatically paid by the card on file with them that I had set up with autopay to avoid receiving bills. I was responded via email to be informed that they were looking into my inquiry and they would get back to me with their findings. a month later, I still hadn't heard back, so I messaged them again stating that I was still waiting to hear from them, with no response until December 19th, 2016.

The response was short, generic and not an actual answer, they attached a pdf stating that the reason I was charged a toll fee was because my vehicle had never been registered with a TXTAG account. (Which is odd, considering my vehicles had been registered an working with the TXTAG sticker for over a year at this point. One day, the sticker just stopped working and my fees weren't being removed from my sticker any longer, causing the balance to build, unbenounst to me until I received a large bill.)

In the meantime, my husband called the TXTAG office when we got new license plates to see if that was why the stickers had stopped working on our account, and they told him that no, the new plates would automatically be switched over and the stickers would begin working with the new plates.

I then emailed them again saying that their email didn't answer my questions, and was incorrect information, that I would like them to give me the contact information for someone who would actually be able to help me, and they never responded. I logged into my account and paid the fees so that they wouldn't continue to escalte, as they had gone from $32 to over $160 in the time I was waiting to get my issue resolved and my tags up and running again so this wouldn't happen again. I paid a balance of $162, and an additional balance that had apparently acrued on my other vehicle for $180 (I avoid the toll roads at all costs, so I am not sure how I could owe so much money) and figured that had resolved the issue at least, so I wouldn't have any additional headaches later.

I then received a bill in the mail for over $500 that reportedly was from a "separate account" , however I had paid both of the accounts off and hadn't used the toll road again in that time. I thought maybe it was a mistake, and the amount I had paid hadn't been adjusted and once they finalized my payment on their end, that it would clear up, however I then received another bill in the mail shortly after for over $2000, because apparently my account had been sent to collections, and collections was adding on interest, even though my bill was received as a TXTAG bill, not a collections bill, and when I made a minimum payment on this to keep interest from continuing to accrue, the payment went to TXTAG NOT the collections agency, meaning that the collections agency is continuing to add late fees, even though I have paid off TX TAG for the balance they sent to collections, and additional money.

I went to the "Customer Service" office, and received no assistance on any of the issues, and they asked why I was paying them the $162, $128, and $189 payments that they had billed me, since those were due to collections, and not them..... sooo, basically when I attempted to pay the amounts I "Owed" them, via THEIR website that showed I had a balance owed, none of it was even going towards my bill, causing it to continue to acrue fees/interest when I have been trying to resolve this on my end LONG before it spiraled out of control like this. The women at the office said there was absolutely no one there who could do a thing for me (after being denied the priviledge to talk to a manager) I was sent on my way saying that this was something I would have to try to beg the collections agency to work with me on, and see if I could talk them down on the fees. I asked them mulitple times if there was someone at the office who could write a letter on my behalf to the collections agency, in order to show that I had been attempting to work this out with them before the bill was even sent to collections in the first place, and stating that I had paid them the specified amounts that were sent to collections to begin with, in order to resolve the issue with them and they wouldn't write anything, nor would they let me speak with a manager. They gave me a 1-800 number to call, and the collections agency to deal with the issue myself, even though she had said that she saw my payments and wasn't sure why I had submitted the payments to them since I didn't even owe them anything.

I am beyond irritated with this whole ordeal, and I will be avoiding the Texas Toll roads at all cost from now on. I do not wish to ever give them another penny with the horrible service I have recieved from them.

TxToll began sending mail to my home when I lived in Austin. We erroneously paid a bill that was intended to show a credit to our account.

We no longer live in Texas and I have spent a year and a half trying to contact this company to refund my money. I have tried phone, web, and written physical letters.

I have received no response and I'm out $75.79 that this scam company stole.
