True Wireless Reviews

  • Aug 26, 2017

I've been getting a free government phone now for about 5 yrs and I decided to change providers so I shopped around and was reading all about how good True Wireless was. So I sent an application in on line, they excepted me , well to good to be true believe me, 7 days later I had received the phone only to open the box to a short in the charger you could actually see the split in the cord, so plugged the phone in. It took a long time to come in once it did I had to keep playing with the cord to get it to charge so however, I checked on the phone and hour later it wasn't even 1/2 charged so another hour now it's half way there it took 6 hours to charge 15 to go completely dead so I immediately contacted True Wireless and they told me that it wasn't their problem that it didn't work and that I would have to pay them $100.00 to get another and I explained every thing to them the very same day I received the phone told them I would send it back and begged them to please please please send me another that one is broken they told me absolutely not and the man was so rude and ignorant I started crying and he hung up on me.

I called back and then I got a very mean woman that didn't want to hear a thing so then I emailed them at least 8-10 times absolutely no response at all and their policy is that if any thing is wrong with the phone you have i believe it's 7-10 days to report and I did the same day and then for weeks and months so then I contacted tag moblie and they were the nicest people you could ever deal with the gentleman i chatted on line with told me to go on line with True Wireless while I was in my tablet with him I used my daughter s phone to contact true and the tag man told me to asked the woman for a release from true so I could go with tag mobile and so started yelling at me like I was a little child and said absolutely no she couldn't release me and kept telling me I had to pay for another phone and that was it bottom line the man from tag couldn't believe it because he stay in chat line with me the whole time at least and hour you can call tag and ask them give them my name I don't care.. then she continued to keep telling me I had to pay that's no fair.

I'm a VERY VERY VERY sick and disabled 54 yr woman and I live by myself no car no phone i can't get around call no one unless my children stop by to see me i only get $773.00 a month my rent is $700.00 MONTH thank God that everything is included I can't afford to barely by my cat food but I need my cat he's the only person that understands. I really don't know what to do without him.. Now why do they have to be so mean I did what I was supposed to do ..so guess what for 1 1/2 months no phone they shut my phone off why now no one there will talk to me that provider needs to be pick out of the government's program their phones aren't free..

I have phone service with truewireless, i lost my phone, i called and reported it. when i was finaly able to get in touch with someone on the phone. I was told since i had so much trouble getting a hold of someone i could get a new phone for half price. I ordered a new phone. When i got it , it was old and scratched up. I called truewireless and they said they do not have new phones. They said the warehouse sends the phones out and they have no control over what phone you get. They are getting money from the goverment for this phone service and they are ripping of people all the time. i paid for the phone over the phone. i have the bank statement for the transaction.

True wireless lifeline is the worst lifeline phone company out there. First they sent me a phone that the back keeps falling off of, and the earpiece is defective, you can't hear anything out of it...You have to put the calls on speaker to hear them.

Then when i called them to ask them to replace the phone, they told me i had to purchase a phone, or get one from family or friends! i think they are doing that on purpose, judging from reading other complaints that are similar to mine.

Come to find out, i couldn't change companies, because there is a new law that when you sign up for a lifeline plan you have to stay with that company for 12 months. True wireless seems to be taking advantage of people who qualify for a lifeline phone. I personally am going to report this to the fcc, and suggest that they read the entries on outscam, and maybe they will make an exception for those of us who are stuck with a truewireless phone that doesn't work, and let us change companies.

Also, when i went to their website to try to get more minutes, they offered a $4.99 plan that provided unlimited texts, 500 talk and 500mb data. But apparently if you already have a lifeling phone with them, you only get 200 minutes for $5.00. I even talked on chat with a representative and she said i could change my plan to "casual" and gave me a number to call, but when i called it, it said the wait time was 27minutes! so i dialed the standard 611 number for "care service", and they never answered the phone.

Don't get a lifeline phone from truewireless...You will regret it.

For those of you who have one, if i get any useful information from the fcc, i will repost on this site and report the result of my inquiry.

I placed an initial order for a free government phone with True Wireless on the 31st of December 2016 and immediately received an confirmation email, telling me that the phone would be shipped within 10 business days. That was not true! I then decided to follow up a few weeks later and got no response. I followed up again yesterday and was finally given the tracking number that hasn't been updated at all! The USPS is STILL waiting to get the package from these liars and they haven't sent anything. I'm guessing it's because these ghetto hood rats don't have any cell phones to give out to those in need. They'll rather lie to you rather than being professional and honest and coming right out and admitting that they're crappy and don't care!

DO NOT GET TRUE WIRELESS!!!!

i have only had this phone for two weeks if that and they shut my service off, getting through to an actual person is hell and the workers are all rude as can be. A friend of mine had the same service and switched because her phone wasnt working properly after two days of having the phone, she called to get a new one sent to her which they said they were sending and would take up to two weeks, that time passed to three and four weeks and come to find out they never even sent it and cannot help her now. And now my phone wont even allow me to call the company so i had to use someone elses phone, and apparently the system is down. I cant have a phone that shuts down on me at random!!! Good luck if you go through this company! !! Pretty bad i havnt even had it a month and cant stand them....switching asap.....

Last month on 8/2016, I called Truewireless to see if I could add extra time and text to my Lifeline cell phone, she told me yes and said it would be a extra 5.00,so I paid that amount and she said that it would change my payment from 1.40 to 6.40,today I got a bill for almost 47.00 ,if I could afford that I would have a home phone! I have been calling their number for day's and just hold the phone until my hand goes numb, nobody is answering.
