May 2018 I ordered trees from the nursery which I never received. They say they cannot find my order.I sent a copy of my credit card statement showing the trees were paid for but they deny getting it .The person i have been dealing with has been very rude and uncooperative. She hangs up the phone as soon as I say my name.

This has been so frustrating to me. The tennessee attorney general could not get their cooperation.

They advertise bareroot plants, but the berry bushes they sent me were twigs, no roots. I asked for replacement, sent them pictures and they said i have to return the twigs to get a replacement. They have no feasiable way to return these twigs. They have no usps mail receptacle.

$21.99 for twigs i would say is a ripoff. I believe the picture should have been enough to warranty a replacement at least, but no, they have to be returned by fedex or ups at a cost of $11 to 14 dollars for a package that weighs 3ounces.

This company needs to be investigated. No telling how many people they have ripped off in this way. I plan to also report them to who ever they get a license to sell this poor quality plants.

Credit card was used and i plan to file a Yscam with them as well.

Have you ever seen the movie “Matilda”? You know, the one where the Dad is a used car salesman that rolls back the mileage with a drill, glues on the bumpers instead of welding them and puts saw dust in the transmission all to make the car appear like a good buy. TN Nursery’s business model reminds me a lot of that movie. They make their business appear legit by having a nice looking website. But when your shipment comes, it’s a lemon. Here’s what happened in my case. I ordered one tree. It was shipped wrapped in some burlap (no box) with a shipping label taped on. The tree had no roots. The root ball had been broken off before shipment and it was shipped as a stick. There were no roots at all in the package. So for my money, I received a dead stick.

I called and was instructed to email them pictures which I did .

They answered that email saying that per their warranty policy I needed to send the product back to get credit for it. Pictures aren’t sufficient. So their business model is to mail out very poorly packaged garbage (it’s garbage so why package it nicely) knowing that the customer likely will not spend $10 to $20 of their own money to ship back that garbage in hopes that he gets a replacement (worth less than he paid for in shipping) that is not garbage.

“Don’t people need good trees. Can’t you sell good trees, Dad?” Why anyone would want to base a business where they have zero chance of a return customer is beyond me. I guess they think there is an endless supply of people that they can fool once with their website. Then when they’ve burned all those bridges, start the business under a new name.

In the spring of 2017 I placed an order for 2 trees thru the phone number. I was told that I would be receiving an email containing the shipping details, etc. I never received it. After another call, I was told they had been shipped. After about 5 days they arrived in a flat cardboard box. Inside were 2 trees bare rooted which were wrapped in a plastic bag. The trees were the wrong size (smaller) and had dead leaves. The form that came stated that the trees were dormant and were without leaves. False. I immediately called customer service and talked to a lady who said to water heavily and plant. She said her husband has trees come with dried leaves and I was to pull them off and new ones would sprout. I followed her advise and nothing happened, no new growth. Later I called back and she told me that there was a 1 year warrenty and to call back later to replace them.

Yesterday,8/8/2017 I called in to start the replacement process. The lady I'd first talked with is no longer there. The new person told me to call a different number for the nursery. They would be there on Tuesday. I called today Tuesday and got a prompt system. After pressing the prompt for dead pants, it said they were not dead just dormant. No one answered and there was no way to leave a message.

I called again and was told that I had to follow the return procedure on the web site. This was not explained to me before. I was told all I had to do was call in. The person I was talking with started giving me the run around.' I am the highest person here and if you talk with someone else, they would ask me what to do" Also, she said if I complained, her response would be "I refuse to follow the dead tree return procedure"

My com[laint can be summed up as follows: 1. long time in shipping, 2. dead trees and wrong size, 3. told misleading information, 4. not willing to talk and resolve issue.

My recommendation: avoid them like the plague.
