Tire Works Total Car Care Reviews

  • Sep 1, 2017

My Son took he's car to tire works to get his air conditioning fix. As he left the car smoked. We called they got a compressor for it and it still doesn't work. Took it to a different tire works they said it wasn't done right. It needed to have a lot more work than an air compressor. Also the air compressor was an old one. Called and talk to Travis mangers he said it's not old. My invoice says it is. He said Well in the computer it says it's new. He's lying. Called the corporate office they said they can't help because big bad Travis has last word!. What can I do?.

I went to tireworks in december of 2016, I had 4 new low profile tires put on my car. the total was about a 100.00 dollars, I paid cash and left with good thoughts about this place, several months later i started to get letters stating that the credit card that was used was being reversed and that I needed to resolve this, I called the tireworks shop i went to and spoke with a guy named keith, he said it was a mistake and not to worry he would resolve it. again the letters started comming again and I called him again(keith) and he again said not to worry about it, as he was the manager there and he would take care of it.

Well sunday morning August 28th, my car was taken by who I had no idea, then I called the following morning to the corporate office and the people there were laughing and thought it was funny and just hung up on me, well my car is still missing and the corporate office of tire works has not sent me any court papers to come to court and i have been served a summons or anything, this company ripped me off, apparently they claim I used a credit card, I dont have a credit card, I have bad credit, I pay with cash on all my purchases, so its obvious that I was ripped off by the people at tire works, I paid cash, and this is how I got ripped off, they used someone elses credit card, and when it got reversed they had to make it look like I reversed the charges.

Dont go to this tire store they will rip you off,

The nightmare with Tire Works began in November of 2016. My truck needs commercial tires, in which Tire Works sold at the time. I visited the Cactus and Decatur Location on more than one occasion. I have spent thousands of dollars on tires.

However I had an issue with a tire beginning in late October- early November. The tire was virtually brand new and was losing chunks of the tread- approximately 6 inches in length and 2 inches wide. I took my truck into the location listed above in which they told me they would send the tire back to the manufacturer (whom is Continental) and they would deem whether the tire can be warranted or not. In the meantime I had to purchase another tire, which is about $300 dollars.

Fast forward to May 2017, I noticed that I was missing another chunk of tread out of another tire. I called Tire Works and spoke with the highly unprofessional "Manager" Mark. He stated that he just received the first tire back from the manufacturer. Which is six months later, per Mark " the manufacturer stated that this is normal wear and tear and will not be covered by the warranty." After I was told this, he stated that this would be the same case for the tire I have currently that is having the same problem.

I felt as if I was getting nowhere dealing with the Cactus and Decatur store manager so I had my daughter reach out to Jasmine Salguero, whom is the Public Relations Manager. My daughter called her for the first time on Monday May 22, 2017. She spoke with her assistant who stated Jasmine would call her back within the next 48 hours. Jasmine returned my daughters phone call Tuesday May 23, 2017 she proceeded to inform Jasmine of the issues that we as customers are having within the Cactus and Decatur location, We also informed her that we have now contacted Continental whom is the manufacture of the tire. She stated that she would look into the report that was filed from Tire Works and see what she could find out, and would return our phone call.

Shortly after Jasmine and my daughter spoke, Jasmine and Mark felt the need to call me. At the beginning of the phone call it was only Mark on the line, However later in the phone call he informed me that Jasmine was on the call as well. From a professional business standpoint, they as "professional business people" should have informed me. They proceeded to ask me who they were dealing with, whether it was me or my daughter. I informed them that they will be dealing with both, as I am busy and do not always have time to deal with this nonsense of customer service. They stated that it was unnecessary for us to contact continental about the tire. At this point and time Mark now notified me that he never sent the tire back to the manufacturer, that he sent the tire back to the wholesale company which they purchased the tire from, and that company would decide whether it would be covered under the warranty or not.

This was not what I was told to begin with. I was told that the tires were going back to the manufacturer! However we later found out that Tire Works is not an authorized dealer of commercial tires, which they are selling. This is why they could not personally send the tire back to Continental. Our question is, who is the wholesale company and what are their classifications and certifications as to inspecting tires for warranty purposes? This information was not provided to us.

The morning of Wednesday May 24, 2017 my daughter has not heard anything back from Jasmine, she called her office in which she got her assistant once again. Jasmine returned her phone call within five minutes, and proceeded to be rude and condescending. She asked my daughter what the reason for the call was, she stated that we were expecting a phone call back from her with information based on the report that was supposed to be filed with Tire Works in regards to the first tire in November. She informed me that she does not understand as to why My father and I are both involved in this issue, and as to why we contacted Continental. I, the daughter informed her that I am getting no help from there end, this has been in there hands to fix and deal with since November of 2016. Jasmine became very rude, disrespectful, and condescending in a matter of seconds, she stated that “she does not have to deal with me, she is doing me a favor”. At this point I asked to speak with her boss, she was beyond rude about it, proceeded to put me on hold for three minutes, which then she hung up on me.

After the phone call with Jasmine and my daughter, My daughter informed me of everything that has happened thus far, and informed me of the rude condescending behavior that was portrayed from Jasmine during the phone call amongst them. Jasmine then called me, the father, to inform me that my daughter was using profanity, and was being highly unprofessional throughout the entire matter. Jasmine stated that my daughter informed her that we are “using mark and trying to get free tires”. I stated that that is obviously not true, that my daughter would not say that, then proceeded to ask her well, my daughter asked to speak with your boss, and you hung up on her? Jasmine stated that my daughter hung up on her?

I, the daughter spoke with the Rep from Continental who told me to go to the location and pick up the original tire that they claim was sent back the other day. When I walked in I was approached by a man with a baseball cap on with a T-shirt and basketball shorts, with no name tag on or anything? I informed this man who he later stated that he was Mark the Manager, that I was told to pick up the tire, that I am taking it elsewhere to get fixed. He said that he needs to rep to call him so he can release it to me. In the meantime, while I stand at the counter and watch several other customers get frustrated over their lack of communication and customer service skills all of the employees go either in the back or in there little “hangout room”. Mark comes out about thirty minutes later after telling me to wait, and now has a completely different story. He is now stating that Mark, The Continental Rep and Jasmine had a conference call yesterday in which Mark was told to take the tread depths of the tire and write down the DOT number, after that he informs me that they disposed of the tire yesterday. If you disposed of the tire yesterday why make me stand here in your lobby while you partake in whatever unprofessional acts you were participating in.

We are clearly upset over this entire matter. The customer service with the Cactus and Decatur location is absolutely below standards. It is absolutely unprofessional for a manager to approach me the way he did in such a condescending way, in which I do not even know who he is because he is dressed so far below standards. We figured this next step would be to contact the Public Relations Manager, whom was the biggest joke of them all. A public relations manager is supposed to create and maintain a favorable image for their employer or client by communicating programs, issues, and solutions through the company to the customer. This however is not how the Public Relations Manager for Tire Works runs the show. She will destroy the name before you can even get the full story out. I have never had to deal with such a poor example of a “corporation”.

If you are a new or incoming customer of Tire Works take your business elsewhere. Save yourself the time and frustration of dealing with this fraudulent company. This is very unfortunate that these employees Mark- The manager at the Cactus and Decatur location, and Jasmine- The Public Relations Manager act in such unprofessional matters. They present themselves in a condescending way which makes no one want to business with them.

I'm having a bad experience at Tire Works in Pahrump Nv. In Feb I paid them 187.00 for work to be done on my car. The work wasn't completed and now here on April 22. I was promised to get my money back two weeks ago, they made their excuses and promised today April 22 to show up there at 7:00 AM and my money will be posted to my account! Once again nothing but BS. It's 3:10 now and still nothing! Don't know why they're doing this?

I went into TIRE WORKS- Pecos Las Vegas to get 4 new tires, since I couldn’t afford the $300 all at once for all 4 tires, I applied for the credit with SNAP Finance in the store. I was approved for approx. $1300. My intention was to only buy the tires, but the manager convinced me that I needed new brakes new rotors and a few other things plus two warranties for the same price. I assumed they knew what they were talking about, they are mechanics right? Before this day I had regular car check ups and never had any issues, in fact I had my breaks replaced a few years before going in to get my tires at TIRE WORKS…. It took me 2 years to pay off the loan for what I could have paid in a few months if they had just sold me the tires. Here's the kicker - The manager who signed me up for credit (all before even looking at my car by the way), told me that when SNAP finance calls me, to make sure I don’t tell them about the other items I have been charged, to only say it was for my tires alone. I thought this was weird, but at the time, I was told that it was important to have these things replaced and being a single income household, I couldn’t afford a break down in my car.

I hopped in to the shop several times during the two years because I was having trouble with air leaks in my tires, and a nail at one time. There was a small slit in one of tires which I was told was “no big deal”. ( I was supposed to have a lifetime of service warranty)

This past December my tire light came on, I went in and had them look at the car. I was told my tires were perfect and there were no problems and that the sensor light was broken which they could replace for around $120. I chose not to purchase. I trusted they knew what they were talking about. I drove to San Diego the next day, and got a flat on the way. I called TIRE WORKS, they told me “you aren’t covered outside of Vegas” (nowhere on the warranty states this) I had to purchase 2 brand new tires in San Diego because apparently my alignment was off, and my drive line or rotors are NOT in fact new, I doubt the brakes were even done either!

I have filed a complaint with the BBB, contacted local media, SNAP finance, and my next step is to contact an attorney.

I think you should know what this company does, there are 100’s of complaints all over the internet in regards to this company. They do not email you back when contacted/, Jasmine tells me she is unable to communiate via email- and she told me this VIA EMAIL! I wnt a paper trail of all conversations, I will be trying to get reimbursed for everything I have paid them. My car is falling apart because of their failure to do correct diagnostics.

We had moved back to the Vegas area a few years ago and had went into this Tire Works on Craig. I consulted with Angel (The Manager) and exclaimed I am Handicap & need a reliable place to take our Chrysler 300. He Spoke very highly og all staff & gave me his word we would be treated fairly and if we further had any issues to contact him personally. Things had been great fro 2 years, then this last year year we have had nothing but issues! Not sure when Ryan Seegmiller was brought into this location, but he has a real attitude & I have done my best to stay clear from him since my first issue & encounter on 6/9/2015. I had purchased brand name tires (Cooper the same as Tire & model Tire Works stands behind) on line, which saved me hundreds. I brought my 1994 GMC in for the first time to have these tires installed a few days prior & noticed it still had the same shimmy in the front & rear, so I returned to have an alignment done to see if this corrected the problem. It did not, then was told my rims are bent!!?? Okay my issue is when I had the tires originally installed few days prior, balanced, new valve stems etc.... Why wasn't I told or it noted that my rims are bent and not till after I pay for an allignment then told rims are bent & they could replace them. Now since then with my Wife & her Chrysler 300 there has been numerous issues with service & customer care. We have had several recommended services done per their request. The last one was the whole Radiator system with new coolant & a rear differentual oil change with all new fluids. Wife came home & said the vents are not blowing above as before, so she took it back & the Mechanic told her that the dash would need to be removed as there is a chance the system was clogged while doing radiator flush! Cost $150 to ??? depending on what they find. She would need to schedule. So this doesn't all sound right to me. Being disabled my wife refuses to let me work on her car due to the chance of me getting hurt. I talked her into us looking at it. She has on screen display with GPS built in. the Mechanic David Angel adjusted all her controls and then says it would take the above repair to fix it. Well this was untrue! So we let it go until next time she went into service her car. I told her to mention to Angel or Manager on duty. Angel was not available, so she explains the whole scenario to Ryan Seegmiller & he all his said was hummmm! She proceeded with Oil change & thought we would just take up with Angel (Manager) at a later date. So recenlty (8/4/2016) my wife took off work and we drove out to Pahrump to check on house and just get away etc... Mentioned to wife car felt rough, she said she had some tire pressure issues as all were not the same right now due to heat etc... I talked her into pulling over at a service station to air up all the same 35 PSI. Car still felt rough to me on HWY, but I don't drive it at all & only am in it for Dr.'s appointments in town etc... We got back later that day & I had her pop the hood an hour after it sat there from driving. Oil dip stick showed oil to be just at lowest mark on okay. Meaning it was a quart low. So proceeded in looking thru all our service receipts and see my Wife had used a coupon this time saving her ($17.00) this time on a 5qrt oil change. Ryan keyed in exsactly that 5 Qrt Oil Change, suggested all sorts of fluid changes again and said her Battery was at 44% and very bad. Problem is Car takes 6 qrts as it shows on specifications on all receipts, oil cap etc.... She has traveled just over 3,000 miles since that oil change of one quart low of oil!!! Not good for any car period. Elementry mistake surley not an educated Mechanic knowing his job regardless of paper wortk order!! So we visit Tire Works & request to talk with Angel (Manager) & explained all the issues we have had in the last year and now this most recent mistake of only putting 5 quarts of oil in a 6 quart engine. He answer Hummm Well no problem just pull it around & we will add a quart. No Sorry or nothing. Battery is at 100% too!! Ryan comes out & proceeds on verbally harrasing me, saying well anytime you need a free qrt of oil due to evaporation or friction loss just come on by. I asked him to please walk away I didn"t need to hear any excusses of why they didn"t do their jobs properly and we wouldn"t be returning to this particular Tire Works due to his attitude, carlessness & further more harrising the Customer me with insulting remarks as if we are trying to get free service from them. Oil doesn"t evaporate out of an engine with absolutly no oil leaks. If there is friction loss happening, it is only due to their neglegence recently by forgetting the 6th quart of oil! Angel Allowing this Assistant Manager to come out and verbally harras me is not a Manager in my book. I was the customer only pointing out what mistakes they are making with our $35,000.00 car that may cause damage & trying to work over or up sale a customer everytime they bring in the vehicle.

Came in 4/21/16 thinking my battery was dying, and stopped off as it was the closest place to home I could get to without worrying about the truck dying on me and having to push it. They waited until AFTER installing a new battery to tell me my old battery was fine and my alternator was the problem. Then they told me I would be paying for the new battery regardless because "We already put it in the truck.." and then they pushed me repeatedly with offers to sign up for their store credit card so I could afford to have them install an overpriced alternator in my truck. When I said no, they told me they were voiding the warranty on the brand new battery installed in my truck (that I didn't even NEED). Had they simply been honest and said "your battery is fine, your alternator is out" I would have limped it the two blocks back home and paid them for their time checking it out.

I purchased 2 tires for my wifes car at tireworks about 3 weeks ago.my wife comes home from work and says to me, honey one of the tires has a big bulge on the side of it!I told her that I don't believe you should be driving the car,It doesn't look safe! Since I had bought the tire only 3 weeks ago and still had the receipt I figured thet tireworks would do the right thing and replace the tire. Boy was I wrong!I dealt with someone named Ryan who smelled like marijuana. He was extremely rude. He asked if I had purchased his "extended warranty" I told him that extended warranties are a ripoff.the issue, was a manufacturers defect and that a tire should not bulge like that after 3 weeks of usage. He said well you more than likely hit a pothole.I told him this makes no logical sense.Sounds like something your trained to say to avoid responsibility for defective tires. If potholes cause this damage than why aren't ALL cars having the same damage to their tires since I drive the same streets as other residents in Las Vegas.

How is it that I go years without tire damage driving over the same potholes? So Ryan you are full of it! Ryan also stated quote"you bought low end tires they only cost $150 each maybe next time you'll buy some more expensive tires and also buy my warranty.I feel that Ive been ripped off by these bandits! Stay away! Go down the street but whatever you do avoid them like the plague

I went to tireworks on August 9th to get some work done on my 2013 Chevrolet Sonic, Thermostat needed changed, the manager Billy at that establishment Billy said that it would be 150.00 and it would take three hours to complete service on my car. Sure enough we left had some breakfast and 40 minutes later we come back to shop and my car was missing! It wasnt been worked on in shop, so finally my vehicle arrives and Billy says its all fixed. That mechanic was just making sure engine light wont turn on again , I hand him the money thinking nothing of it, not thinking I should get an invoice, I leave Tireworks and 20 minutes later my AC is broken, We gave Billy a call said he would fix issue next day and a week went by and couldn't get a hold of him for 3 days! I decide to contact corporate and the girl working there Jazmin proceeds to question me and put me out as a liar, so she says shell investigate and call me back never did! All I wanted was some invoices for my records that job got done instead she calls Billy to ask whats going on? I then start getting harrased by Billy and he starts imploring that we come back so he can get job done free of charge, I have video and text messages and call logs showing Billy calling and trying to get us to go back into shop.

Jazmin never contacted me again, so now Im going to the news and hoping a lawyer will open up a case because I went to my usual mechanic and he said my thermostat was not even touched! So he embezzled this money and did nothing to my vehicle!Do not go to Tireworks they will take your money like a fool. :(
