The business "the scary closet" is engaged in fraudulent activity, stealing thousands of dollars from horror fans for their counterfeit replica dolls/props. They solicit new customers online via email or social media, requesting $1000-$3000 for each of their unlicensed, bootleg products, and once payment is received, they cut off all communication. I personally was scammed $4,200 by this business and requested the assistance of my bank to help bring this scammer to justice. Unfortunately their investigators confirmed with the scammer's bank Los angeles fed credit union) that the account was emptied immediately after depositing my check as most scammers do. So now i have to file a small claims suit for the $4200 plus legal fees and transportation costs. I would have been more than willing to workout an arrangement with this business if they were running late and needed additional time. However, since they cut off communication entirely and ignored multiple agencies, i had no choice but to pursue legal action and inform the public of their fraudulent business practices.
The la fed credit union's fraud dept confirmed that the owner of the scary closet is mark s. Anthony. This business has been reported multiple times to the california attorney general, and is being investigaed by the dept of consumer and business affairs, business consumer alliance, and better business bureau. Multiple attempts by the bbb to reach out to mr. Anthony have been ignored. Signed and notarized legal demand letters have also been ignored. The pressure by victims have forced mr. Anthony to hide/block his business social media accounts.

On the contrary , I had previously send the Evil Clown back as I was unhappy with its " Hair " . They send me a new Clown and even customized it to my liking.
Also, I was recently refunded 1700 dollars as they had some backlog issue with the Tall Man which I had ordered. After complaining to Mark about the timeframe....I was swiftly refunded my $1700 which in turn I ended up spending on the VALAK NUN which is on its way as we speak.
I really don't understand all the hate here......there's always two sides to the story.
I couldn't be happier with my Scary Closet puppets, which I now own 6 of them to include.....

There are twitter accounts dedicated to helping the dozens, maybe even hundreds of people that were scammed by The Scary Closet. The BCA gave The Scary Closet an F-Rating and WARNING to potential customers after they verified at least 3 instances where Mark Anthony stole over $4000+ from each customer. But since you paid him in a manner in which he couldn't blatantly steal, you were one of the very few that actually received something. So we'll just take YOUR word for it that he's a good guy. Mark Anthony is a THIEF and should be in JAIL!
So it started with an ad for The Scary Closet that listed a life size replica Linda Blair from the movie The Exorcist. It was listed as 1995.00 plus shipping with the option of paying half up front. They only make 10 per year. So I paid it in full $2079.00 This was at the end of April or May I will have to pull my statement. So I patiently wait and then I get a text from The Scary Closet (213)271-5402 saying my doll was ready I just needed to pay the second half $1995.00 I was confused and taken aback. I know I didn't read it wrong when I ordered. So I contemplated what to do. I wanted the doll and I had already paid 2 grand so I sent the second half of the payment in full. Well on that Thursday Sept 19 he said it was ready to ship. Nothing I got nothing letting me know it shipped. I text him back and he said the shipment was going out on Friday Oct 4th. and I would get a tracking number that day. I got nothing. So I decided to google this company and I see that he has done this in the past. Well I'm done I want my money back.!!!
