Their automatic payment system is absolutely broken because not only did they do the payment schedule 10 days late they charged me an additional $25 for the payment not coming through and for being late and somehhow that is my fault? Blow it out your a*s. They even charge you an additional $1 for paying your insurance ahead of time. What kind of Jewry is this? I refused to pay and they sent out an $85 collections so I am paying money for a service that I refuse to have for switching to another insurance because these idiots are having technical problems receiving transactions and somehow that is my fault? I signed up for insurance about two months ago on my fiancé's jeep so she could be safe in California, paid the premium cost, then the next month and then while in the middle of moving two hundred miles away into Los Angeles they took money out of my credit union checking account without my permission( causing me to go negative with my bank while I was paying for move-in costs which is already expensive and stressful in itself) then after contacting them they said the next payment will be a 20 dollar additional charge if it's not in my account. My payments are due on the 5th of the month. Today is the 27th of November and I received an email stating that my coverage is CANCELLED AND THAT IM GOING TO BE SENT TO COLLECTIONS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE POLICY COST THAT I NO LONGER HAVE. Ive never given them permission to take an electronic check out of my account in the first place and now I'll have to pay not only for a policy I don't have but pay for a new policy or I can't drive to my job!? What kind of company does that!? How is that even legal!? Not only is my transportation to my new job, and my banking, being compromised but my income and personal well being and my credit future because of a $53.00 policy payment they took upon themselves to charge without informing me or asking if it would even be ok!? THEN THEY HAVE THE BALLS TO WRITE IN THE TERMINATION EMAIL THAT I CAN CALL THEM TO PAY FOR A NEW POLICY!? If I withdraw money from someone's bank account without them agreeing it's fraud and theft, and I'm charged with a felony,If these guys do it, they get more money for nothing,I go to collections when they've terminated my policy.... f**k progressive auto insurance.
