This company is stiffing notaries across the country on payment. All title companies associated with this non paying company need to be made aware. This company owes me lots of money and based on simple google reviews of the company, he is doing this to countless notaries. Michael Tomlinon is owner and operator for all billing of this company. I recieved one check that was returned for NSF. Title Companies across the nation need to know this company is bogus.

Hot check

I also received a bad check, luckily it was only for $85.00; I have sent to the sheriff and constable for payment. my advice is if they owe you over 100, you can call 713-477-1511 and claim a theft by check.

I am owed money, too!!

I was wondering if any of you have reached out to the lenders on those transactions you have not been paid for. Not sure what they could do about our past dues, but at least putting it out there that The Notary Spot is not who they want to align themselves with for notary services.

I have only done one signing for them and I am still owed the money. I too cannot get through to speak with anyone.

These companies need to be reported. I know it takes time but in the long run it is worth it. It's just difficult when you are in another state.

Good luck everyone!!

I am owed $255 from The Notary Spot. No response to calls , texts or emails. We may be able to join together and file a theft of services charge in his local area with the local district attorney. The more money he owes, the higher the charge

the actor intentionally or knowingly secures the performance of the service by agreeing to provide compensation and, after the service is rendered, fails to make full payment after receiving notice demanding payment. -

(2) the actor failed to make payment under a service agreement within 10 days after receiving notice demanding payment; -

For purposes of Subsections (a)(4), (b)(2), and (b)(4), notice shall be notice in writing, sent by registered or certified mail with return receipt requested or by telegram with report of delivery requested, and addressed to the actor at his address shown on the rental agreement or service agreement.

(d) If written notice is given in accordance with Subsection (c), it is presumed that the notice was received no later than five days after it was sent.

(d-1) For purposes of Subsection (a)(4):

I did 2 notary signings in the salem oregon area for the notary spot in september. They claimed they were a business just like any other signing company and would pay me a disclosed fee. They had a web sight and still do. They have yet to pay me. I have left numerous messages on their phone number and their after hours phone number but to no avail. I have also sent mumerous e-mails to their e-mail address and no response. If you are a notary and read this and it has happened to you I would like to know how it was resolved. Don't do a signing with this company they are Rip-offs!!!

They are a complete FRAUD. They charge totle companies and lenders for a notaries services and then refuse to pay us after we have put out supplies, mileage, and our services. From what I can tell on the internet, they may owe more than $500,000 in outstanding fees to notaries.

I did a long distance signing for The Notary Spot on 08/19/2016. But after several emails and call to their various departments, no one will answer. I have sent several emails to request payment but to no avail no one will even acknowledge my emails or correspond. This is a worthless company that I would advise any company or notary to stal clear of. They apprear to be crooks. The phone # goes to Missouri but the website shows them in Texas.

On 8/25/2016 I performed a mobile notary refinance in Evans, CO.

I have numerous times called and sent emails asking to be paid for the service I provided. Not once have I been contacted by The Notary Spot.

Would like to get paid the $85.00 they owe me.

I did a signing for this company on July 25, 2016 and never got paid, I have called all numbers many times, faxed my request then sent a certified letter to the company which was returned. I contacted the attorney who works for Carrington Title and he said they have paid The Notary Spot and there is nothing that they can do. I have notified the BBB and they said there was nothing they could do. The amount I was to be paid was $85.00

Notary work done for them in May 2016 remains unpaid. Monthly statements sent via email. . As of July, all phone message boxes full. Unresponsive to emails. Received request to provide notary work for them today (12/9/2016) so they are still in business. Checked phone message mailboxes today and they are all full. No change in phone numbers on the website.

NOT PAYING OR ANSWERING CALLS OR EMAILS

This company is not paying any notaries. I am due $400.00 from them, have sent them several notices, tried calling, all voice mail boxes are full. I have contacted Carrington Title as they are the company who contracted The Notary Spot. Carrington Title has the original documents with our signatures and stamps on them so they are responsible for getting the funds to us. Contact Carrington Title Jack Kozak and don't back down until we have our money. We did the job, they have their payments, now we want ours.

Horrible

They owe me 630.00 and of course, nobody answers the phone or emails anymore.

I was hired by the Notary Spot to handle a refinance in Wetumpka, AL on August 1, 2016. I tried on numerous times to contact the borrower to no avail. I contacted Notary Spot and was told to go to the location anway. I then printed two sets of documents (approximately 250 pages) and traveled 25 miles to my location. Upon arrival, there was no one home. I waited 20 minutes and contacted Notary Spot. They told me to please wait another 20 minutes and someone would contact me. After 40 minutes and no phone call, I left. The next day, the title company informed me that Notary Spot misread the instructions and sent me to the wrong location. The signing was actually to take place in another city and state. As is customary in this business, Notary Spot reduced my fee to $42.50. As of this date and after numerous phone calls, emails, etc. I have not been paid. I can't even get a human on the phone or anyone to respond to my email.
