Just finished filing a fraud claim against this company. All of those who were affected by this company have the duty to spread awareness to those that might fall into the trap of cheap phones and cheap service. First, customer service is completely incompetent and do not offer any solution at all. When you call, you can definitely tell it's the same people over and over. I was given the same rehearsed lines and have waited over 3 months for a refund because they keep on stalling and telling me that there are no updates on the ups investigation i decided to opt in on. Secondly, they lie. After they stated they received the phone i returned, shattered and destroyed, ups updates on the tracking number informed me that they refused to give the ups driver the package so ups can process the damaged claim. "the receiver has cancelled the product order and refused delivery" - verbatim. The agent told me no such thing happened and there were no attempts by ups.

Unbelievable.

Thirdly, just a word of advice. Save your money and don't waste it on these phones or this service. This company is a complete scam full of inauthentic individuals.

Stay far away from this company. I cancelled my service in December 2016 and ported out my number because of very poor service and deceptive advertising. My credit card gets billed this week for my monthly charge. I sent a email demanding my money back and I was told that I had to call back and request my service to be cancelled. What???? I did that when I ported out my number.

I am now being billed for services not rendered or provided. They refuse to return my money or stop billing my card. I have filed a dispute with the bank and cancelled the card so they can no longer bill for services I am not receiving. I told the representative I was cancelling when I ported out my number. How am I using their service if I have no phone number with them???. This company is horrible and will steal from your account. Stay far away

Upon discovering that a fraud has been perpetrated in which my email account is being used by a fraudulent TextNow customer I called TextNow and spoke with Andrew... who I must say wasn't very helpful in trying to get this resolved.

I find it sad and unfortunate that TextNow is a willing accomplice to fraud. Your actions have only emboldened criminals. I hope TextNow policies will change in order to protect the public at large.

This is a SUBSTANDARD service. It is a waste of time and energy and $$$. Most calls people can not understand what you are saying. Their website does not run well enough to allow audio playback of voice mails. Also, all calls thru their website are so bad the people I call can not hear what I am saying. Every call. And I have a high quality microphone. Also, on the cell phone (LG VOLT) they block you from using certain SETTINGS features. Such as HOME-SCREEN. If you try to access it thru SETTINGS you will get a message that says SETTINGS HAS STOPPED and then you get taken back to the home screen, very inconvenient. Also, Phone crashes when you try to access PRIVACY KEEPER in SETTINGS. This function is supposedly there by the phone maker to allow you to block your outgoing phone number on your outgoing calls. TextNow claims that they have blocked those functions from working! But, for almost 30 days, they led me on with e-mails telling me that they were eager to resolve the issue. When I contacted them they were forced to admit that they can not do anything about it. What a great waste of time, lying to their customer. Also, call quality is sub-standard.

First off the double billed my account in one month. I disputed and they retaliated by canceling my services. The catch is they took my money before the cancelled and then told me they can't refund me because I have a Claim against them. I was also told I used my data when in fact the service has been fuccd up. My phone itself is ragged haven't been able to use it for about a week. I have WiFi so I am at least 95% of the time on that and not data plan. The phone was a piece of crap from the beginning my calls would drop, can't hear the caller and they couldn't hear me. I want my money returned or I will be filing a fraud claim as well. This company is running game on people who can't pay the high fees of other companies. Big time rip off!!

I purchased Textnow cellular service on Saturday September 19, and I recieved the phone on Friday September 25. The first day I got my phone I had problems with it. The calls kept dropping and when I managed to call someone and keep the call going, it was going in and out, it was also really staticky, I couldn't hear the person on the other end. So I thought I would give the service another day to see if the situation would improve. But the problems continued along with the screen on the phone starting to freeze up. I basically couldn't make calls at all because the screen wouldn't move. I couldn't talk to them on Sunday because they were closed so I wanted to returned the phone back on Monday but couldn't do to working. I did not use the phone on Monday It would not work so I went to work without one. I tried before leaving to get the phone to work but the screen would freeze and I could not use the phone. Another individual in this house is having the same problems as me and they happened to send their phone back. So today on Tuesday September 29, I called textnow to get a refund and to return the phone. Textnow tried to get me to keep the service and troubleshoot it, I told them no and that I wanted to return the phone and get a refund. They kept insisting I knew I did not want to try because I know they will give me the run around like they did with the person I know. Textnow took it as a joke and was smirking at me, they heard that I was getting frustrated and they thought it was funny. They told me they are only giving me back my money for the phone and not the service because I used data. The times I used my phone was at work, I only used the phone to try and call people which was difficult. The calls kept dropping and had static when talking. That's not providing me service that's ripping me off. I only had this phone for five days and I wasn't able to get a decent call out of the service because of the defected phone that I received. The phone was refurbished and just plain crappy. I sometimes could not pick up the phone because the screen wouldn't work, it kept sticking and freezing. Don't buy their service! They keep your money for the service and only give you a refund for the phone. They also keep the money for shipping. That is upwards of about 50 dollars, a huge chunk of What I paid for. This is wrong and I am pissed off. They are not professional, you keep talking to the same two people, the guy was making fun of my voice. Go with a service that's been around, not textnow. Textnow.com thinks because they are cheap and affordable that we should be happy with their service. Well cheap gets you cheap service and unprofessional idiots. Keep your money and don't mess with Textnow or you will be sorry.

They have purposely and deliberately Removed My Account and Phone Number for No Legitimate Reason back on Sunday, May 14th, 2023 and when You contact their s**t Customer Service Department, they will Always Send You A Form Letter Falsely Telling You That You Violated Their Terms Of Service!

However, they Never Show You Exactly What You May Have Done Wrong because they are Liars and They Just Want To Encourage You To Make The Same Mistake, Over And Over Again Until You Give Up On Using Them!

That Is What Happened To Me!

You Will Never Speak To Anyone In Their Beyond Low Class, Customer Service Department because they are Not Here To Help You!

Their Customer Service Department Will Never Reverse A Closed and/or Disabled Account Once It Is Closed!

They are Only Here To Allow You To Make Repeated Mistakes Without Ever Knowing What Your Mistakes Are!

Textnow connives with scamsters and spamsters to sell your number to them so they can harass women night and day and unfold their fraud scam schemes on them.

Textnow numbers expire due to inactivity and when they reassigned another number to me that was of a con who took $12000 from someone to sell them an unlicensed gun and then disappeared.

Textnow is very unsafe and Huawei 5G apparently spies along with several other background spywares if you make the mistake of installing the app.
