Texas Auto Liquidators Reviews

  • Sep 29, 2015

On August 20, 2015 we found a 2005 Chevy 3500 welding truck on ebay for sale with Texas Auto Liquidators. We Contacted their salesman David Urby about the truck and told him we would drive down Saturday the 22nd to look at the truck.

Upon arrival the truck was not on the lot, but in the shop. They claimed they were just checking the fluids, that they had checked over the truck and everything was in good working order. We test drove it, and everything seemed good. We purchased the truck for $9,692.72. We drove straight from there to a hotel to stay the night before making our 10 hour drive home.

The next morning we drove straight back to Borger Texas, made it just blocks from our house, then it broke down. I called David Urby on his cell phone right then. He told myself and my husband they would not leave us hanging and they would take care of us.

The next day after having it towed to a mechanic and finding out the computer was bad & you could unplug the computer for 24 hours, hook it back up and it would run a few days before going down again. I called David again, he once again told me they would not leave us hanging and David asked for our mechanics phone number. David did call him, and told him they would find the computer there and have it shipped to him to install.

We never heard from Texas Auto Liquidators or David again. We have tried to call, each time being told he is not there or when I ask to speak to the GM I am told he took the day off. I sent them a registered letter with copies of all the receipts for the repairs at that time totaling over $1200.00 and I expect a check to be sent to me for the repairs. We have not gotten any reply.

I attemped once more to call to talk to them, Scott that answered the phone said he did not know what I was talking about and there was no one their that could help me. In the past week we have also had to replace both batteries that were $240.00, and today the power stearing high preasure line which cost $160.00.

I now see that they were not checking the fluids, all the fluids need to be changed. I had called them 2 days before we were coming to tell them we would be their that Saturday, they were plugging the computer back up. They completely ripped us off and even after saying they would fix our truck, they will not even call us back. They are a rip off do not buy anything from them.
