Ted Walker Reviews

  • Oct 12, 2015

I have to say I am surprised (not really) to see another report here already about Mr. Ted Walker of Snohomish, WA, and the general Puget Sound/Greater Seattle area. This former managing partner of The Hawthorne on Avenue A is deceptive and coniving. He befriends people then takes advantage of their kindness. Ted, who currently works as a booker for bands locally (at Flights Pub and Rockos in Everett, WA), lied to many people who trusted him explicitly. He told sob stories about not being able to pay his child support, or about how The Hawthorne was barely staying afloat, and used those stories to bilk thousands of dollars from the people who loved him, and The Hawthorne. You see, Ted worked his way into the Snohomish community via The Hawthorne. People loved Ted, and the venue. Everyone wanted to help him, and help the business succeed. That's where he took advantage of those who loved him.

The Hawthorne closed at the first of the year (2015) and Ted told everyone it was because they were working on getting a liquor license. When it didn't reopen shortly after, he then told everyone The Hawthorne was going to reopen at a new location. I learned later that the owners of the Hawthorne caught on to numerous shady deals Mr. Ted Walker had made, and once they confirmed his scams, they gave the business 3 days to vacate. Ted continued to maintain to patrons that The Hawthorne would be reopening. He was trying his hardest to hide the fact that the venue had closed solely due to his scams. After asking around and doing a little research I'm learning more and more just what a con this guy really is. I have heard stories of stolen checks, mismanaged money, unpaid taxes, screwing bands over, and even theft of money from a local artist whose work was sold at The Hawthorne. His reputation in Snohomish is sullied, and locals are laughing behind his back at the way he is hiding in the shadows around town now. Don't worry Mr. Walker, we all know what you are guilty of, and yes, that karma (or is it DOGMA?) is coming straight for you. Watch for Ted Walker in Snohomish, Everett, Lynnwood and Seattle areas. He also works under the business name of "Ted Walker Presents."
