Ate asked for $500.00 for the commercial which we were foolish enough to send. It has been over a year now and we have yet to receive what we paid for in spite of our complaint. And the only time we hear from Tate is when they are requesting that we buy our own CD from them, yes that's right, the nerve of it all. Now please excuse my harsh words but let the truth be known Tate music company is run by Liars, thieves, and simply very unethical people, stay away from this company
TMG approached me via email. Offered me a full album project. They only required that I gave them $2,000 deposit. So I made a few payments. I had paid $1,150 dollars when I had a severe family emergency. I tried to talk with someone from TMG and they gave me a bunch of lies. Telling me my representative will call me back. But no one phoned. I sent emails no reply. Not only did Tate Music Group Steel my deposit, They disappeared for 4 months. Next time I heard from TMG was by email. They informed me that they were going to send me to collections and destroy my credit. . They have been harassing me for 8 months for $850. For a project that existed. This has been 1 year of hell thanks to TMG
Tate used an aggressive marketing campaign to get my money. The music they then produced for my songs was far worse than the demos I submitted. I asked for my money back (or at least a portion) and got no response. Even before this, getting ahold of them was near impossible. I was never able to get a live person when calling them. My questions about production quality were met with vague answers like "I think so..." or referred me to someone else in the company. When I tried to contact these people, however, I could not reach any. In retrospect, the whole system seems designed to capitalize on an artist's hopes and then totally evade responsibility. The kicker is, they call themselves a Christian company!!!
