It's been a month now and the following have occured:

I spoke with Talk With Lead (you specifically and also your customer service representative at 1-800-792-4060) concerning the $58 charge to my debit card nearing the end of a trial that you verified you would extend.

You then emailed me, stating that the extension for the trial had been granted, but this was 2 days after the charge was already successful, defeating the purpose of the trial.

Also note that I had already requested the cancellation code for my account a full 2 days before the ending of the first trial period anyway and your service team had not provided a code for weeks (even though customer service said the only way to cancel my account was through getting that code. I cancelled when I was supposed to but TalkWithLead's slow response (more like lack of response) for the cancellation code made the trial expire without cancellation.

I made multiple requests to cancel after that, already annoyed that your company charged the $58 when you should not have. I chalked it up to mismanagement and bad timing.

After speaking with TalkWithLead 12 times via email and the phone, I find that a month later, there was still no cancellation code or a refund to my account and now...

a new charge for June 8th in the amount of $58 appeared again. Then after more communication with you to cancel my account, and a full 3 days, you put in an attempt to keep my 'business', while ignoring my requests for refunds.

Now that you finally provided the cancellation code (June 11th, a MONTH initial problem and cancellation request and multiple discussions), when I try to cancel (and after you made multiple charge attempts to my debit card after the SUCCESSFUL charge just last Friday)...my account is locked until I update the card information

I added a different card to attempt to get past this screen, but then I received a message that it will take 24 hours to verify the card payment method. It should never take that long, not even in 'rare' cases.

So I'm at a loss here...

To the Better Business Bureau, is this kind of behavior legal?

Whether legal or not, I've submitted a notification to the Federal Trade Commission and the International Consumer Protection and Enforcement Network for everyone's records, as seen below:

I should have listened all the other neggative reviews of this company but I went ahead anyway to use their services. First off this company illegally sends about 90 emails and sms messages a week even after you have opted out. They do not provide a method within their software to close or cancel an account in an attempt to continue billing your account even after you follow their request to call or email to request to cancel services.

They take advantage of their international location to the fullest, by intentionally harrassing and stealing money from individual business owners. I would stay far away from these cowards and thives, because there are far better services located within the US that offer superior software services than Talk With Lead.

This company continued to charge my credit cards for $56.49/month after I had cancelled their service AND they said the service was $49.99 but continued to charge me $56.49 without any explanation what the extra $7 charge was for and would never respond to my emails.. until I cancelled my service.

I cancelled their service in December of 2018 and after they charged me again they said I couldnt cancel by email but would have to log into my account and then request an "authorization code" to cancel the account.

I sent multiple emails to get the "auth code" yet I never received one to cancel the account through their antiquated admin console.

At the same time they kept sending me threatening letters about reporting me to credit agencies after I refused to pay for the service I had cancelled. Here is an example of what they sent every week to harass me into paying:

Two names were used by their support group: RON and MARIA

They shared the same email address so its either a generic group email box or they just have multiple phoney personalities.

I also just discovered they charged me $56.49 when they said the monthly charge would be $49.99 .. Here is an example of what they emailed me:

We never signed up for any services, ever, that are remote to what the business offers. We kept getting spammed from our own site contact forms for days, until I finally went on their site and asked them to stop. No Reply, they just started sending 3-5 a day now. This company is unethical in its contact practices and I would be careful about doing business with them. They show little respect for people.
