I found the web site and contacted Steve about an N14 engine we were interested in having rebuilt or a replacement.
Steve said they could have an engine rebuilt using some of the parts off the original engine and would call back with a quote.
He talked about the good warranty and how they could get the major parts for the engine ordered but would need a money transfer to go ahead and get things rolling. He seemed to sound very knowledgable about the process so I trusted him and we wired the money to him. We didn't get the engine removed from the tractor for another month and called for instructions on how to ship the engine.
He sent the shipping information and said we would get charged for one direction. I didn't realize it was because he had no intention of ever sending us a rebuilt engine.
We have been waiting for over 7 months and have been given every excuse you could imagine as to why its taking so long and why they have not got back to me. I have left several messages on the anwering machine and with the receptionist but very seldom does anybody to call back.
The last time I talked to Steve he said the engine had been shipped and was going to check into tracking and get back to me, that was because he said they shipped it over a month ago, but has never called back or responded to the messages I left with the receptionist or on the anwering machine.
The last excuse Steve had for not getting back to me was the business was changing hands and kept him so busy that he just could not find time to call back. Every time he called back he would tell me he have to go out to the shop and find out what was going on and get back to me. Unless I made several calls back I would never hear from him again.
We are out thousands of $ and the complete engine, that he said he would need as they were going to run it on the dynometer when it was finished so we are without not only the long block but all the components attached to the engine also.
We are going to look into legal rights to see if we can get anything back.
My friend, I did the same thing over a year ago and have never received anything. I am out $18,000.00. It sounds like this guy has been doing this for a ling time and has ripped off many people. You will probably never get anything back for which I am sorry.
I too was screwed by steve, dave and Jennifer. They have screwed many people including myself. I have been waiting over a year for a refund I don't think will ever come. I hope they all have fun I prison!!!!
