I've had two new Summit refrigerators installed (unfortunately they made the only size that fit into my kitchen space), and they were both lemons. The refrigerator is a piece of cheap plastic junk, with blits of plastic easily breaking off. However, the main problem is Summit quality control. Both refrigerators didn't work correctly fromm the beginning and having "repairs " made to them didn't work either. STAY AWAY.
The service provided for repairs is pretty bad also, There either are not enough people available to answer calls or Summit Appliances are so universally bad that there is an overwhelming need for repairs and all the calls cannot be answered in a timely way. Expect a 20 minute or longer wait with disconnects occurring while you are waiting!
When the repairman(Jose) came on September 02, 2016 to fixed the fridge all he did was turn the dial to make it colder and said he was done, and caused liquid in the bottles I had to freeze breaking the glass and leaving shards all over the fridge. This was the repair solution, then said that they needed parts they didn't make anymore. Why didn't they make that apparent before he just turned a dial and wanted to charge me?
