These people contacted me regarding my student loans because I went to Ashford University. Ashford was getting sued for deceptive enrollment practices and being forced to payback or forgive student loans during this period. I was one of the people who had been recruited by them with promises of job placement post graduation. So student financial help center told me the process would cost $799 and take a year to complete and fall off of my credit report. If for some reason I didn't qualify I would get my money back. I have copies of the contract still that states this so I can provide proof if some attorney ever makes a class action suit out of this. Anyhow it's been 7 months since I signed up and looking forward to that no longer being on my credit report. I called student financial help center to inquire on any updates and they are out of business. The voicemail says that all paperwork has been submitted. So i then called nelnet the loan servicer that SFHC hooked me up with to see if they had any updates on it. They told me that my account didn't have any notes attached to it stating that I was going to have my loans forgiven or paid for by Ashford as a result of the lawsuit. So now I'm left here wondering how am I going to get my $799 back? I'm pretty certain I've been scammed and I hope this report helps others avoid this.

Hello. My name is Nancy. I have student loans and the payments were to high because my job was not paying enough and i could not afford the monthly payments. I contacted the student financial help center because i saw a advertisment saying they can help with your student loans and alleviate high payments. I contacted them and they said "wow you are paying too much. we can drop this down to less then a hundred dollars a month. So i said great and asked more questins.

THey said we would set up a payment arrangment for $159.80 a month for 5 payments so the total service fee would be $799.00. THey would file a forebearnace to i would not have any payments to fed loan. I asked them then after the payments do i start paying the new amount. THey said yes. I received a bill from fed loan and the amount was not changed. I tried to contact student financial help center and they have disappeared. I have been trying for months to call then and nothing. They misrepesented what they do and have $800.00 of my money which i have been laid off so i could use it right now. THe take you money and pocket it. I spoke with fed loan to figure out what i have to do and they told me that a third party like student financial help center just take your money for the scheduled payments and dissappear. THey do not help you with anything. I could have went to fed loan and saved $800.00.

Student loans are expensive enough and we do not need someone else taking our money. I WANT MY $800.00 back.

Student Financial Help Services promised to get my student loan discharged as I'm now disabled. They said they would get it done in a year and that it was 699.00 I made 3 payments of 233.00 I spoke to Daniel Guerrero at 949-359-0358 Ext 104. I did this starting April 11, 2016. I called several times to see what was going on and was assured things were progressing fine. I've been trying to get in touch with them for over 4 months. Their number 888-366-6921 is answered by an answering machine saying to leave a message. Then it says the mailbox is full and hangs up. I also have sent 5-6 emails to [email protected] and have had no response. When you call Daniels number, you can leave a message, but again no response. I'm out 699.00.

I began dealing with SFHC in Sept. 2015. They told me they could help lowering my repayment of student loans by enrolling me in one of their programs, for a fee of course. I paid, signed up, all that good stuff. It is now July of 2017 and I have yet to receive my repayment amount from SFHC... Everything they asked for, I have sent, I have provided everything they ask of me. Whenever I call for updates, there is a problem "well ma'am, it looks like your account was locked at the time and we needed to reset your password", "well ma'am, it looks like we were missing one form, that you did send in so I will go ahead and update your account now"... CRAP... all of it... Today, I spoke to someone who was supposed to be a supervisor and she kept lying. First she says, "you were approved for $39 repayment", I asked, when will I get something telling me to make the first payment or that says it was approved, she takes that back and says "it was a quote, it hasn't been approved yet". How long does it take then? 30- 60 days, well that was 60 days ago, "well ma'am, it can take up to 120 days." I'm so tired of them, I just really wish I could get my money back and be done with their bs answers.

An individule from this company called me and told me he was with the Department of Education and he wanted to consolidate my loans. He made a payment plan with me and told me if I completed the payments my student loan would be satisfied. Once I realized this was a scam I called them. The representives were rude to me, I was yelled at, they even called me back and harassed me. If you have been a victim of this company fight to get your money back and don't stop until you do. Do not let them get away with this.

I received contact from student financial help center on May 26, 2016 so as i spoke with them I was actually interested in them consolidating my loans for me. So I set up my account and everything.

And they let me know I had five(5) days from that day of May 26, 2016 to cancel my account and nothing would happen and they wouldn't touch my money. So I ended up changing my mind on May 27, 2016 so I called them and asked what was the steps to get my account cancelled. They let me know I had to fax mail or email over the cancellation page in the signed agreement I did online.

So that next day on May 28, 2016 I went to the library and printed off the cancellation page and I also sent in a wriiten cancellation paper as well just in case. So I sent the fax to the fax number on the paper. I thought that would be the end of that but I was wrong.

Almost 2 weeks on June 10, 2016 i received notice from my bank that they still took the money out my account. So I callled them back that day. At first they tired to give me the run around talking about they have to look into it because they didn't receive my fax. So I kept calling then finally they told me they couldn't do anything until it cleared in my account.

And that they would call me back which they never did. So I called back today on June 13, 2016 because they still didn't put it back. Now they are trying to say they never received my fax but I had the fax transmission sent to my email just in case. So I sent it to them but they still haven't responded.

So I advise no one to ever use their services becasue they are liars. All I want is my money back in my account and to never go in my account again.

So I heard about SFHC from Facebook (guess thats what I get for that), I called them up because thier post on facebook was about ITT Tech getting investigated by the Feds and some students qualify for student loadn forgivness because of the school's practices, I know there are student loan forgivness programs out there but didn't know where to look so I called them.

I was willing to pay them the $699 for thier services so I wouldn't have to fuss with it myself as they told me I should qualify for forgivness after I answered some questions about my school experience. well they insited on direct debit or credit card payments for installments at least so I reluctantly gave up my card number to the guy and the very next day my card was used at the Papa Johns pizza.

Not even 20 minutes from their physical location and was attempted to be used for several online purchases, which my Awesome bank denied all of, because the initial papa John's Pizza purchase was 700 Miles from where I live and my physical card had been used in my area just prior to the other purchases they flagged my card and put out a blanket denial. My bank fixed my account giving me back the obvious fraudulent charges and issued me a new card I guess I will see what they sat when they don't get paid.
