Steve's Machine Shop Reviews

I left my boat with steves machine shop in november, it needed transmission work. then we decided to do the heads and top end he pulled the one engine and the heads off the other. I bought one rebuild kit he bougt the other i also bought theoil pump and seal for the tranny i had already given him 1200 dollars. The original price was 2400 dollars total. then he said later 2600 then after that he said 3100 the price kept getting higher, well in march no more work had been done he had not completed it. i then told him i had a buyer for the boat this boat needed to get done i said the buyer was coming on saturday this was two weeks away. well everyday i went in there he had nothing done, finally three days before the buyer was coming he started a little work, on that friday i stayed and worked all day with him plus paid him his other 1900 dollars. the boat still wasnt done, he assured me he would meet me there the next day at 6:30 am to finish the boat. he never showed up. i had to call the buyer and tell him i had no faith in his work anymore and because i watched him put it together that friday he was very hap hazzardly putting things together. so i left them a message that i would be by on monday to pick my boat up, i also stopped pmt on the official check. well i went to pick the boat and parts up he never apologized he just smiled as he thought he had gotten away with one. well a month later his bank forced my bank to honor the official check, so i had to pay him. now i am out 1900 dollars with a boat that doesnt work doest run had to piece sale the boat and i will have to spend more money on atty fees to get my 1900 James virginia beach, Virginia
