Dan and Kerry Duffy. Have been running the State Games of Oregon For Several years. They represent the amutuers sports participants in the state of oregon and also possibly the U.S. For many years the Badminton events have been mismanaged by this brother and sister act. Many participants pay there entree fees.(Around 30 to 60 dollars) then see that there money goes to wast. On July 7 2017 we enter a group of kids in the youth badminton event and it was beyond horrible. excessive extra events just to kill time. no order of events. volunteers cluless. And the king. "RAN OUT OF TIME !!!!". All the youth were given hush money in the form of a $1:00 dollar cheap plastic medal. I have seen the decline of this once great a nice amatuer sporting event turn into a joke. After several attemtps to address these concernes to Dan and Kerry Duffy. They just ignore you or say wate for next year it will be better !!!. The Badminton Coordintors are working on it. WHAT A CROCK. So the youth that participate in this yearly event are constantly disappointed and there times is more than wasted along with there parents good money as enteree fees. I would not ever recomend to participate in this event. They just do not know how to run a badminton event. Lastly the Pickleball and Tennis Assoc are dropping out of this event and are more than contant with running there own.
Please get a reciept for rembursement from them if they are just RIPPING YOU OFF.......
