I paid to have my dog spayed in January on 2015 at Spay ands Neuter Clinic. May 6, our dog was bleeding and couldnt understand why, my daughter took her to the emergency vet through OSU($222.27). They said that she had ovarian remnant syndrome and they couldnt spay her that evening.
So my daughter took her to Obetz Animal Hopital 5/7($49.00), and they confirmed the same thing that OSU did. THey couldnt get her in until 5/11 for surgrey. I called Spay & Neuter on 5/9 and they told me that they couldnt reimburse me for the service because they are a goverment run place. They said that they could send her to there vet and i would have to pay again.
That same day my daughter took her to our actual vet Springtown Animal Hospital and they did tests and confimed the same thing as the other 2 vets did also. They did the procedure and kept her for 3 days. I was changed $687.47, which is fine our dog needed to be fixed.
They sent out the labs and said that my dog had severeal cists on one of her ovaires and that female dogs have 2 uterus horns and that one was removed prior. I was also told that she had full funtional uterus and ovaries that she had never fully been spayed.
I told Spay and Nueter all this and since they are goverment run that they have to call their board of directers but they dont refund. I fill that they should reimburse me for the original cost and then what we had to pay out that entire weekend which was about $958.74. If they would have fixed her the first time I wouldnt had this problem.
