Southern New Hampshire University Reviews

I attended SNHU for a while to earn a degree in game development. The online classes were very poorly put together and a complete waste of money, especially for the extremely high rates. Most of the instruction and answers to questions essentially amounted to "go look up info on YouTube."

After I quit attending, they then tried to bill me for funds that were already covered by student loans. They have since sent the account to collections, so not only do I have student loans from them, but also collections and bad credit for already loaned funds.

This school was a complete disappointment and completely unhelpful in preparing for any sort of career. I feel as though I was scammed of my money and credit history.

I have been a student and have paid them over $10,000 and only have 3 hours completed. I thought I had dropped this final class on time, they say I was one day late and they are charging me another $975 They could careless about me and only want to take advantage of me. They care only about how much money they can collect. You would think they would want to take care of their students especially ones that have paid them a considerable amount of money. If they cared about helping the student they would not let this happen and try and protect the student from financial hardship Maybe charge the student $100 for missing the drop date if you are within a week. Charging the full amount is ridiculous

I have attended SNHU and at first it went good. Then the last term I attended they were not taking no for an answer when financial aid told me I was out of funds until the fall of 2015. SNHU told me I had enough for one class, and financial aid would pay for it. I said ok but will be withdrawing after this term since I felt that SNHU was very pushy when you told them no. I completed the term and decided not to take any classes. Come fall 2015 I tried getting into local colleges to complete my Bachelors in Psychology. This is when I was informed no one would accept me due to SNHU holding my transcripts saying I owe them $4,000. Being unemployed for the summer is why I held off on taking college classes. Now I can not continue my education. I had contacted New Hampshires department of education and their exact words to me were, " sorry, we can't help you. It is your words against SNHU. Good luck." I was shocked that was comming from a professional company like that. Now I am still trying to get into school. This is a school I wish I never tried. SNHU is putting damper in my dream.
