Solomon & Sons Relocation Services - Fort Lauderdale, FL (Extortion + Fraud + Negligence) >> IF, you ever get a call from > Solomon & Sons Relocation Services - Fort Lauderdale, FL > RUN !! *NEED "CONSUMER PROTECTION" LAW FIRM !! against *SOLOMOM & SONS: "RIP-OFF ALERT" > *SOLOMOM & SONS for 6+ mo. has continued > “Spit in Our Faces and Tell Us It’s Raining…" We are 72 yrs old. United Moving + Solomon & Sons continuously “Lied + Cheated + Stole” from us. SOLOMON & SONS: did a constant Fraudulent "Bait + Switched”. THEY ARE CRIMINALS !! We are "Filing Rip Off Report" about numerous verbal threats + blackmail charges.

Solomon & Sons Driver "Sony" verbally Threatened + Blackmailed us. *SONY said, "IF, we do not pay the "Extra $800 CASH" >> SONY would "keep" + take all our Furniture back to Fort Lauderdale. We'd have to pay Hundreds $ in Storage. PLUS, another $1,200 to re-deliver our Furniture. It was a classic con of "Bait + Switch". Solomon & Sons Driver “SONY's" Attitude + Behavior was like a Tasmanian Devil. We re-measured the distance from truck to our Condo > should not have been charged “Extra $600”. *SONY > wanted an "extra $200 CASH" for waiting 1 1/2 hrs. for Shirley to get "original" $600 CASH at Chase Bank !! BANK > Corona Virus Protocol: there were 10 Chase clients in front of Shirley. I told Sony that the "extra $200" was not ethical. Sony said, "he did not care about Corona Virus ($200 Due). Sony yelled + demanded his $200 in CASH ASAP !!

My lease was up on June 30th. I reserved for the 30th and signed a contract and gave them a deposit. On June 29th, in the afternoon, they called me and canceled. They didn't explain why they just refunded the deposit.

If you are considering using Solomon and Sons Relocation Services, get a backup plan in place!

I SPENT OVER $15,000 WITH SOLOMON & SONS MOVERS. THEY DELIVERED MY FURNITURE TO CALIFORNIA FROM FLORIDA AND I HAD OVER $9,000 OF DAMAGE.

THEY SAID THEY ONLY PAY 60 CENTS A POUND FOR DAMAGES. THEY ARE THE WORST LIARS AND THEIVES IN THE INDUSTRY. DO NOT EVER USE THEM!!

We used the moving services of Solomon and Sons for a move from Florida to Georgia. The gave us a low quote to hook us up. It started with 1700$, we ended up paying over 3800$. We packed everything really well, they carried our boxes down five staircases with a dolly and no ramp. We could hear our kitchen items shattering as they moved the boxes.

Before paying for our deposit, they made us think we would be getting our stuff on the first available day of delivery. They ended up delivering it 6 days later. Our stuff was pilled up to the truck ceiling and was moved to different trucks before it got here. I was heart broken seeing all our things so poorly attended and handled after we paid thousands of dollars.

We have a small apartment. We sincerely regret using this company. Next move, I will simply rent a truck myself, pack and load myself with someone's help and I will save thousands of dollars while keeping our belongings properly cared.

I went through all the details of my inventory, current location, and destination location. I explained to him that I lived in an apt building with an elevator and that they would be able to double park the truck right in front of the building like all Brooklyn residence do when they move. He said he double checked the area and made sure that we would not have to add a shuttle charge to the bill. He also told me that their long distance carry of 75 feet only applies from the front of the building to the truck which in this case was less. I then explained to him that my home at the destination had more then 14 steps. He assured me that stairs in a home dont count. So after this phone call, I compare their rates and reviews to many of the other companies I spoke with. Solomon and Sons came out cheapest and had the best reviews. He sends me the contract to sign, and tells me that I shouldn't worry about their stairs section and that I wont get charged. So I sign it taking him up on his word.

I get a call 2 days before my move date from the driver asking me if they can pick up my stuff 1 day early since they arrived in town early. I tell him no problem (thinking if I do them this favor that they would repay me by taking extra good care of my stuff). I take an extra day off from work and get some family members from the neighborhood to help to get the rest of our stuff ready to go go for the movers. They get to my house and one of the guys start wrapping my furniture while the other mover starts going over the paper work with me. He tells me that they are charging me an extra 150.00 for a shuttle fee, and an extra 100.00 for a long distance carry fee. (he said the distance is from the apt to the elevator and then the elevator to the truck). I call customer service but they cant help b/c the manager is out of the office and he tells me that we will deal with this later and to let the movers pick up my belongings. I try calling back a few days later to follow up, but they still can not resolve the issue b/c they need the BOL. The movers come to my house to drop off my stuff at the destination and then charge me an additional 50 dollars for my stairs. I say no problem, i'll just add that to the things to speak about with the manager when I get a hold of him or her. I had to run to the ER for my son while the movers were unpacking so I left my brother there to supervise.

When I get back I come home to see some of my furniture broken. I asked my brother if they told him that they broke anything. And he said that they did not mention anything. (the crib was placed against the wall with the broken foot so that I wouldn't realize that it was broken and tipped over. And you can see from the picture that they tried fixing it with a lousy screw) I continue to chase the company to speak to someone that can help me, and I finally speak with a customer service agent that tells me that she can only refund me for the long distance carry and for the stairs. She said that 18 wheeler trucks are not allowed on Brooklyn. I send her a link to the city MAP (images included in this review) and I get no response. By the way, they would only give you a refund if you sign a 2 page documents basically saying that you cant write bad reviews or hold them accountable for anything... In short, they will come off as cheap and great reviews, but there are a bunch of extra charges that they throw in. And if you try to get refunded, you will only get partial and not be able to write about your experience. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!! I have attached images for all of you to view. You will notice a larger truck passing ** in one of the pics as they were telling me that large trucks cant get onto my block

LIARS AND A TRAIN-WRECK COMPANY Do not use this company and if you do you will be sorry!! I wish there was something less than one star. I contacted and spoke with the owner five weeks before my move... I told him exactly what was needed by my condo for him to be able to do the move. The exact insurance and workers compensation required. I confirmed multiple times that all was good for the move... less than two days before the move my building contacted me that they didn't have the paperwork required after speaking with Solomon and sons multiple times.

Solomon movers continued to lie to me and finally cancelled out less than 12 hours before the move was set to begin. I had no ability to get another Mover on a Friday at the end of the month. Everyone I contacted was already booked. Sooooo... Solomon movers lies cost me an additional $500 of rent because I had to leave 4 days late. The new Mover had a higher fee because all of his trucks were being used but he rented one for my move. At the end the new Mover did a great job and Solomon and sons cost me $800 with their lies. IF Solomon and sons tries to say I'm lying... I have saved every email and text.

Not happy with the service from Solomon and Sons at all! Before selecting Solomon I researched and spoke with over 15 moving/relocating companies. This was over 25 hours of trying to get an accurate estimate for the moving job. Leo Walker at Solomon was relentless in pursuing my business. I did select this company for my move. From the day they arrived until several days after they delivered my goods I was disappointed with the service I had received. First Solomon estimated my move at 900 cubic ft.

When they arrived to pick up my items I was told I had 1120 cubic ft of goods. At $3.25/cubic ft. this resulted in surcharge of over $700 to my order. When they arrived at the destination they could not park their huge rig in my parking lot so I was charged another $100 for them to unload my merchandise. But the worst part about the move was that several glass items were broken (even though I paid for glass protection and it was packed by their movers, "medium" size movers boxes were missing resulting in the loss of valuable documents, electronics, etc. and my tool box was never delivered. This resulted in greater than $700 in losses to me on top of the extra $800 I paid for the move.

  • Dec 18, 2018

The 1 star is because the person who booked our move knew we were in an apartment and moving into another apartment in Phoenix AZ. When we got the call letting us know the delivery day from the driver we were informed the truck will not fit into any apartment complex, it was 2 trailers on the rig and totaled 85 ft. This is what we paid to have done, to be delivered where we live. Instead we had to go rent a U Haul 15 ft truck and the movers unloaded it off their truck and were done helping us move!!! How is that acceptable????? Without any warning. Had we have know our stuff would be picked up but not deliverable we would not have chosen to use this company. At the very least we should be compensated the price we had to pay for the U Haul, because that's what we paid these movers to do.

Used Solomon & Sons (Aventura, FL) to relocate to Florida from Georgia. I had them pack (at an extra cost) most of my artwork and fragile wall hangings. The move seemed to go fine until I unpacked my items and found the glass broken on a large piece of artwork and some metal wall hangings were broken beyond repair. So much for their packing ability. Also damaged a door to my dining room breakfront.

Solomon & Sons claims go through "Moving Claims" in Miami. They wanted pictures of the damaged articles, estimates for repair, copies of bill of lading, copies of original purchase, date of original purchase, and on and on and on. Information provided as best as possible with replacement costs and repairs. My estimate was over $200. Settlement they offered $70. That doesn't even cover the cost of one damaged beyond repair item. Further disputes with this company were in vain. I had a prior long distance move that I used United Vans and claims were promptly handled with no hassle or jumping through hoops. Since I was moving a short distance this time I thought I should give my business to local movers.

They came late. 4 days after promised date. Nobody called me nor was I able to get any updates. A lot of stuff got broken. Will keep you posted if anything will be replaced or redeemed. Doubled the price almost. Sure the quote was not very accurate, but this was not double of the volume. The movers were rude and aggressive. They just randomly refused to pick some stuff at the end. Still not understanding why they did that. They destroyed the kitchen door and just took it out to get the couch out. They did not even put it back. It was a nightmare. I was very embarrassed to tell my landlord. Lets see if they will pay at least for the door. Will post it here.

Also the gas grill fall off from the truck and they yelled at me in front of my family when I confronted them. I WAS JUST SHOCKED AND WORRIED ABOUT MY FAMILY SO I DIDNT SAY ANYTHING MORE.

THIS IS INSANE!!! They finished their work at around 10pm and I had to clean with my pregnant wife the house till 1 am. My son (2years old) was already sleeping on the cold ground. We had to do it at the same day as at the next day our flight was coming. All because they come too late. Lets see how the drop off/move in will be like. I will post it here and the refunding of the broken goods.

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT do business with these thugs. Any positive reviews here are absolutely fake.

So many things went wrong that it is hard to encapsulate it in this review, but I will attempt to do so.

The salesman that makes your deal will tell you all the right things to make you feel good and safe. They are ALL lies. All of them. They have prepared scripted lies for anything you tell them.

They pitch you by saying they are not brokers and proceed to badmouth brokers. In hindsight, this is laughable because throughout my move I had to deal with 3 different companies that had little idea about each other. They delivered my stuff 2-3 WEEKS LATE and you will never be able to get any meaningful feedback from them because they moved your deal to a "sister" company and then that sister company moved your deal to another sister company and they have no idea what is really going on. Solomon is therefore, by definition, a BROKER.

Your salesman will trick you into overestimating your initial quote, and will proceed to convince you that this is a good thing, because on move date the price will go down from there. He will tell you this quote is a "ceiling" for your deal. Please understand that this is 100% a LIE and intended to trick you. This inflated quote is merely a baseline, a FLOOR for the price of your move, to which they will continue to add more and more EXTRA charges on top of.

Your salesman will be very personable and nice, but after successfully scamming you, you will NEVER be able to reach him again. Never. From that point forth you will just be allowed to interact with their customer service rep, who presumably does not know of the obscene scams that the sales people are running. When your quote is put together they will probably try to trick you into believing you need a 300 dollar shuttle service for delivery and will put it on top of your quote. They will tell you that if the shuttle is not needed then the 300 will be removed from the price. Absolute lie. My move did not require a shuttle yet they refused to remove the charge for it.

These thugs will not only be rude to you, they will literally hold your stuff hostage until you pay their overly inflated price. Even after the huge delay and the inflated price, they were so bold so as to add an extra charge because they had to take a short walk from the truck to the elevator, they'll call it a "Long Carry" charge. They'll do it on the spot, and will refuse to start unloading your things until you pay them.

By this point you'll be so tired of living in an empty apartment (because they WILL be delivering your stuff very late) that you will just agree to pay and be over with it.

After you pay, the movers will bring your stuff in with no regard for fragile stuff and will break a lot of your pieces. They will argue that, since they were not the ones who packed your stuff, they cannot do anything about it. Since your move has been triple-brokeraged then nobody assumes responsibility for the damages.

Finally, since your deal has been brokered multiple times to different companies, this results in very poor tracking of inventories. You'll get stuff that belongs to other people, and other people will get stuff that belongs to you. The movers have absolutely no idea whether they've been accurate, and they don't seem to care much about it. But to be fair, why should they? This deal was sold to them by another broker who probably acquired it from another broker (Solomon), so they have no incentives to get it right. Their end game is to try and hit you while you are down and get some extra charges in on the spot (e.g. the long carry).

Repugnant, deplorable experience, honestly you are probably better off finding some company that does not lie about being a broker because it will probably result in a more transparent, cheaper, and less frustrating move.

Only reason they get one star is for Alejandro and his moving crew, Allie in dispatch, and Timmy the delivery team. They were all very nice and handled my belongings with care. If it wasn't for them and Google this company would get -5 stars. In the beginning this company was very attentive, but after going thru the moving process with this company I realize it was just to get a sale. This company is very unprofessional, lacks communication and customer service skills. My sales rep was Alex Freeman who is a liar and disappeared after my belongings were picked up. He assured me that my belongings would get from FL to NV within 7-10 days . My belongings set in FL for 2.5 weeks and no one in the entire company could even give me an estimated date for departure. I was passed from person to person and was told "they were working on it." The manger Roy Cohen was useless because he referred me to the contract without even acknowledging my questions/concerns. Then I was passed to Monica the "vice president" who was very rude, had a attitude and hung up on me several times and threatened that if I was not there get my belongings they would turn the truck around and charge me a holding fee. Marty the truck driver from Ocean Moving was very unreliable and a lair. He charged me a long haul fee after he told me that the truck was too big to fit in my complex and that he could not deliver my belongings; however several semi trucks has passed thru my complex; he clearly didn't know how to drive. He would also reschedule delivery dates without contacting me.

And let me not forget the rude receptionist who always answered the phone, I wish I knew her name so i could drop it here too. My belongings where not delivered, they caused an inconvenience to my work schedule, and they lost some of my items. Don't waste your time or money with this company. I wouldn't be so irritated if they just told the truth from the being. Last but not least they need to change their website: all the photo of the movers are Caucasians. Only one first my movers was Caucasian, all others where part of the minority. Their website is not a good representation of their company as a whole. Stay Woke!!!

LIARS!! Once you sign papers, they begin their foolery, will not answer calls. Different answers from different people. They changed my move day from Sunday to Monday because they were too booked, without my approval. Jeffrey & Alex first class professional TRICKSTERS.These guys are reckless and dishonest. Your belongings will never be the same. Customer service is no help either. Careful, they will lure you in with a low price, but its not worth it. You will pay much more in the long run Had to pay additional $400 before belongings was released. BEWARE

I looked at three different companies when I had to move from Florida to New York. When I contacted the sales representative from Solomon & Sons, he was promising and he met the criteria that I needed. He convinced me to use their company. The first time I talked to Ed, the sales rep, he said the movers would be there on a certain date between 12:00 and 3:00. And when it came to that date, an hour prior to them being already at the house and moving, somebody called me and he said they wouldn't be able to make it and they would arrive around 6:00 PM. I told him I’ve got a flight at 10:00 PM so if he said 6:00, then they have to be there at that time.

Around 6:00 o’clock while I’m waiting and no one showed up, I called him back. Then he said he's sorry and he's still at the other place because somebody else is moving and he'll arrive at 7:00. That was ridiculous. So I called the office right away. They told me they'll send six people at 7:00 to move within an hour and make it fast. I said okay. I live really close to the airport in Florida and it was just 10 minutes. Finally, when they showed up, there were not six people. There were only four. They rushed like crazy and they broke some stuff in front of me. They also did not use the ladder that was on the truck. Me and my friend were commenting that they were using the side of the truck and they damaged some of the furniture.

I asked them when are they going to be in New York because I need to know at least 48 hours prior to arrival. They said that’s not a problem. They called me 15 hours prior to the arrival and I told them I can’t schedule that with the superintendent because it’s a new building and we need to know two days in advance. They said they were already in D.C. and they were on their way. I said that doesn’t work for me and asked them if they can schedule it. Then they said they will do it if I pay them $150 an hour for the delay, for each hour.

I said I will charge them $150 from 12:00 PM the day they picked up my stuff until 7:00 PM. If that’s a deal, then we’ll do it. We worked it out. They didn’t charge me for the $150. And actually, the people who dropped my stuff were very nice. They’re different from the people who picked up my stuff from Florida. They delivered everything. But I saw the TV stand was broken and I have some clothes damaged. You can tell from the clothes when they packed those. The box was really damaged from the way they’re put in the truck. Also, the nightstands and lamps are broken and that’s not what I expected from them. I haven’t contacted Solomon & Sons since then because it’s not worth it.

We hired Solomon and sons to move our aging mother to florida and every thing was great over the phone. It was not disclosed to us that this company used independent contractors to pick up and deliver the items shipped. The fist moving company was late rude over the phone and acted like they each were at party all night. Very unprofessional

We were told it would take 5 to 7 days for our items to reach Florida. We received a call from another moving company , that was confusing, to let us know that they would deliver between 4pm and 8 pm they never showed up. I call Solomon and sons they tracked them down and said the driver would call that afternoon to let us know when they would deliver the next day, they never called they finally delivered on the third day but with an attitude. The driver opened the back door to the moving truck and what a mess. I guess I found where they all party.

12 moving boxes were crushed, 3 were ripped open, a desk that the first driver wrapped the cardboard was torn and the desk was scratched I tried to write the issues down on the federal bill of lading and the driver told me not to it was not his fault and he would not deliver our items or sign the form if I dis he was rude and very unprofessional AGAIN!

I feel very used and abused at this point many of my mothers things are broken and the claim process seems is intentionally difficult to avoid settlement.

As one can assume, I am very disappointed with these companies not so much Solomon and sons but the use of any one that has the ability to rent a truck can move for them that is just wrong.

Over the past 35 years I have moved 9 times using professional movers , just think of the big names and never had an issue this time or maybe its the times, cultures or that these people just dont care.

Working with solomon & sons relocation services was horrible experience which i really hope no one else will have to experience what i've been throw with them. i was reading thier reviews on yelp and decided to give them a call about my moving needs. at first monica the office manager was really nice and guaranteed me they are the best company and i can go to sleep quite at night using thier service so she convinced me to hire them for the job. after i signed agreement everything changed! the company was late 5 days to pick up all my goods.

when i call monica she screamed at me over the phone saying you not gonna tell me when to pick up your staff i will pick it up when i decide too. what??? i'm still in shock from that call! i had to pay rent for my house because solomon@sons was being late which they really didn't care. even at that point i didn't know what trouble i got my self into! i had been using thier storage services. when i tried to relase my goods monica and roy the owner of company were blackmailing me saying if i ever want to see my goods i have to pay double the price whice we agreed on because monica did a mistake on the order. whatttt??? i don't know how it happened!! for over 2 months i tried to talk with roy to solve the situation.

every time roy ignore my calls or answer saying im busy i don't have time for you!! when i tried to talk with monica she always been rude saying is not her problem and if i ever want to see my goods i need to pay whatever they deicde! i'm pretty sure it's illegal!! i finally gave up on my rights just so i can receive my goods and texted roy i'm willing to pay the double amount from what we originally agreed and signed a contract. we set a time for delivery hoping just to be over with that. again delivery was late this time in 8 days! when the crew arrived they told me they can't to the job unless i pay $2500 more then the double price roy gave me which made it triple the price we agreed on!!! at that point i had no choice to agree or i will never see my stuff again. all my boxes was opened and missing a lot of my goods!!!!! also a lot of damage for my goods!

i wish it would finish over here. riy team damaged my house with scratches all over the wall and breaking tile on the floor!!! when they finished the job they asked for a tip saying roy is not paying on time and they did the job for me so i have to pay them. what??? you guys just broke my house gave me open boxes which missing a lot of my goods and asking for a tip??? i had never seen a shady company like that before! i tried to talk with monica and roy but they keep ignore my phones call or hang up on my face when i call from different number!! i really hope solomon & sons relocation services will go out of business! no one should treated this way especially in 2018. think twice before ordering their services!! it cost me my health and a lot of money using them and i really hope no one will ever need to experience what i had to experience with solomon @ sons

I would recommend you use literally any other company. I used Solomon & Sons for a long distance move from Baltimore to Florida. They were negligent at every turn. A day late to pick up our stuff, completely incompetent with the drop off, and they broke or damaged several of our items.

I told multiple people at Solomon & sons that the building we were moving into in West Palm is very strict and I needed to know the date our belongings would get there so I could alert the building and reserve the freight elevator. Also we were driving from Baltimore, so it wasn't like we could get there in an hour. We needed to know when to be there. I called dispatch the day after our pick up to see if they could give me an idea of what the schedule of the truck is. They told me they would have a schedule made the next day. I called back the next day and they told me the same thing, "they are still making up the schedule, they should know in the next day." This repeated another time or two. They would not give me any information whatsoever. They had our belongings for 5 days and still couldn't tell us where our stuff was and when it would be dropped off and their only excuse was, "this is a busy time for us."

They finally let us know on the 6th day, the drop off window would be Saturday-Monday. I only told them 28 times that this building cannot accommodate weekend move ins. They told me it would be Monday (the 10th day). Late afternoon rolls around on Sunday and I still have not heard anything from the driver or anyone at Solomon & Sons. I called dispatch which appeared to be closed, but I reached someone in another department who told me our truck was delayed in Atlanta. "They are doing a morning drop off in Atlanta and then heading to you and probably won't arrive until Tuesday morning." I guess we would have found this out when they didn't come on Monday?? because nobody was planning on telling us. At this point, the freight elevator was all booked up for the week and Monday was our only shot at receiving our belongings before we were forced to put them in storage, so I pleaded with the woman at Solomon & Sons to please figure it out.

A few hours after this call, the driver reached out to me to let me know he would be arriving tomorrow (Monday) around 1-2pm. We were jumping for joy. We were wondering how they figured it out. Did they move our stuff to another truck and start driving Sunday night to us? We were ecstatic.

Fast forward to 12pm on Monday, I receive a text from the driver that he needs to reschedule for Tuesday morning because he is still in Atlanta finishing up a drop off. I'm feeling like an idiot at this point because he blatantly lied to me yesterday and I believed him. He told me he would get to us on Monday probably so I would stop hassling the office.

The drop off eventually happened Wednesday because our building couldn't accommodate Tuesday. We were so happy to get our furniture and clothes we almost forgot about all the nonsense. But then we realized they damaged two of our pieces of furniture. They broke one of the drawers on our desk and they broke the leg of one of our small tables. They also broke a full length mirror and they completely shattered a piece of glass that happened to be very important to me. It was a very thick and expensive glass piece that went on top of a desk that my grandmother gave to me a few years back before she died.

This experience from start to finish was just awful. Please save yourself the aggravation and use another company!!
