Downloaded a app called smilebox on my laptop Got the 7 day free trial. Got charged $47 and some change. Requested a refund and got no response back. Called the number they had listed down and I guess it's disconnected. I just want my money back. Nathaniel, anchorage, ak
I was reviewing my monthly statements when I notice this charge on an account that is strictly an emergency account and NEVER is used!NEVER!
I immediately called the number on my statement, which is a recording telling me that this number has no phone service, but leave a message and email address and they will reply to my message. The message also directed me to their customer service www site to leave a message and they will reply. I started with 3 phone messages - which was a wasted 3 weeks and prepaid phone minutes. There was never any response to my phone messages.
So on to their "send us an email". After 4 emails and no response I was forced to contact my bank and report them for fraud and possible Identity theft. What a pain had to have the account closed (a trust account--any idea of the paper work involved?) file fraud reports. It was a night mare...I have read the previous complaints and all mirror mine in experience.
Don't waste your time trying to get you refund or the charge reversed...just go to your bank and same the aggravation and frustration ... Smilebox are thieves.
I just wish some legal organization would prosecute them.
