SmartProcure is supposed to be a searchable database of government purchase orders to help government vendors boost sales.

After extremely aggressive sales tactics, I agreed to try the service on August 24, 2015. as I was clearly told there is no commitment. Since I was hesitant about any benefits from the service I was not willing to sign up for a long term contract. I tried their system and found that there were no benefits to my company utilizing them.

In early November I called to cancel my agreement. After several attempts of them trying to convince me not to cancel they sent me a copy of my signed contract and said I was obligated to pay three years of payments. On the contract it says one SmartSearch-Annual Subscription 3 yrs for $250.00 monthly. However I was lead to believe this was locking in the rate for the 3 years, not committing to paying three years worth of service. No-where on the agreement does it state I am obligated to pay the full term three years. The only statement on there is regarding renewals, not termination.

I continued to be harassed by Misty Wilmore, trying to convince me why their services were so great and repeatedly sent a copy of my agreement. Nothing had changed on either end. Then on March 7, 2016 I received an email from Dani Carideo that my account was severely over due and I owed $1,000.00. I responded letting him know that I had closed the account several months ago, that I was not using the services and I had no intention of using them again. I also reiterated that I had met my financial responsibilities with them. Again I was sent a copy of my agreement and assurance that they had dedicated client service managers to help us use the service. Again nothing had changed on either end.

I am now being aggressively contacted by a law firm (as of 3/14/2016) trying to collect over $8,000 they claim I owe them. This company has unethical business practices and has crafted a purposely ambiguous contract in order to deceive clients into believing there is no commitment, to later attempt to collect an exorbitant amount of money for a service that is mostly useless.

Bully Company falsifies docs to extort money

We have had similar experience with this company so it seems it is a trend. We agreed to a one year "trial period" for what the sales rep told us would be the best thing we ever did to promote sales. After a hit and miss start with the "training" we performed, or attempted to perform searches, we found the whole thing too cumbersome and unwieldy to be of any benefit. We did not find it was useful with any ROI for our company. We would have no reason to "sign" any further "contract" with this company. Now a year later we are being harassed by the company's collection agency, threatened by someone posing as a "private investigator" because they have conjured up a "contract" stating we renewed for a 4 year period. GET REAL. The "contract" was not in our company's legal name and under no circumstances would we have signed any agreement of any kind in a "contract" not of our legal company business name. They purport that the contract was created by them and signed two whole minutes later in their DocuSign system. However the digital signature applied was a stock signature, which we NEVER use in signing legal DocuSign documents. We have an actual signature that we upload to sign with DocuSign. We had no use for their product within the first month of trying it out. I guess they just don't know how to accept that their idea or product is not what they claim it to be and it isn't useful to everyone. DON'T get involved with this company. You will regret it.

Poor Database & Poor Service

After a very high pressure sales push, I agreed to a contract with SmartProcure. When I learned how to use the system, I discovered that the quantity data in the system always said one (1) for my product types/industry. I've been trying to cancel or suspend my service with them for several months, but continue to get pushed to different people (five different people so far). I've been told several times that a manager will call me, but no matter how many time I call, I cannot get in touch with a decision-maker or get a decision-maker to call me. It's not worth it to do business with SmartProcure.

After googling my name I found a government contract awarded to me on a site called smart procure, I contacted them immediately and ask them about it cause it was all new to me.I was told someone from the company would contact me and let me know something , anything now they don't answer my calls or emails, and I believe things I'm going through now is to prevent me from further inquiring can anyone help me get to the bottom of this. I strongly believe I'm not getting help from no one else because my internet and phone are hacked and tapped to prevent the right people from investigating this. If u see this please respond

Smartprocure database

They called me on 7/28/2016 and walked me through a demo of their system. From what they tell me is that they have the ability to have access to every single government purchase order awarded to any time, State, Local and Federal. I'm not sure how they are getting this information but awarded contacts are usually posted on a database accessible to anyone that has a logon for free. I belong to LA county and Los Angeles City databases and you can check them if you have time to see what's being awarded. After the demo they wanted me to sign up for a 3 year commitment paid in one lump sum. Well these guys are a startup and funding could be removed at any time, So I was not comfortable or appreciated the sign up now before any research. Most of what I do is very custom work and I'm not sure this type of database would be a real benefit.
