Claimed a price of $129 for my iPhone 5 (16 gig, ATT). After 2phone calls and 9 days I finally saw the e-mail telling me they would send a check for $9. I was not told why the phone was graded down to $9.00. The email was from another company so it was overlooked. ([email protected]) They give a 5 day window to decline the offer. So I'm not able to get my phone back Today I tried the site again and they offered $99 for my phone. When I did call, the customer service people have the scripts down to a T! Stay away! Crooks! Bait and snatch!

They did the exact thing to me.. It should be illegal.. They quoted me $68.00 and I received $5.. I never would have sold the phone for 5.00...

Give them a taste of their own medicine

I believe they send you a box with prepaid shipping to send them your device/laptop. I'd suggest submitting a new sale on their website, wait for the box to come, and then load it with bricks and send it back.

I was quoted $223 for each of 2 32 gb iPhone 5s. I sent in the working phones as requested.

After over 3 weeks, I received a check for $57.00 for both phones. With absolutely no explanation. The phones were both in excelllent working condition.

This company seems to prey on trusting honest individuals. They have a very professional web site but are giving internet businesses a bad reputation.

If they cannot rectify the situation, I intend to spend as much time as necessary to get the word out there warning against doing business with them.

This company takes you for a ride! Online they quote you a great price for your used phone and have you send it in to be apraised. I sent mine in, i spent $350 on the phone; i only had it for 6 month and besides a tiny scratch (invisible unless up close) it was in perfect condition. They quoted me online $130 for my phone so i sentit in expecting close to that number. a week later i recieved a email saying they will give me $19 for it!! I e-mailed them back stating "i dont accept the quote i want my phone back". Not hearing back from them i called in concern and they "convinently" didn't recieve that e-mail and they only accept verbal refusal. Additionally, they hid behind their T&C stating it is just a quote. I would not want anyone else to get screwed like i did, this is a dispicable service and would advice anyone to not give them the time of day! I would have rather thrown the phone away.

Unethical Website

Website is manipulative and unethical in their practice. Basically, they list very high price quotes and lure people to send in their phones. Next, they pull a bait and switch w/ a price revision that is "significantly" less than the original quote. Avoid this website at all cost.

I tried to trade a Samsung 6 active that was only used for 3 months. On October 25th,2015 I got an online quote from Smartphonetraders.com for $360. 00. After waiting 2 weeks for them to inspect my phone I finally got an email on November 10, 2915 . I was toldthe phone was worth only $21.00. I was livid!!!! I emailed the company to ask for my phone back & was told I had to call their 888 # get the phone back. I called today (November 18 2015) to get my phone back. The rep I spoke with "tried" to change my mind about getting my phone back. I was told that the phone had "screen burn" & something wrong with adapter. I was only told the issue after I tried getting the phone back. I looked up screen burn & this phone did not have this. As I was trying to get my phone back, the rep kept trying to "up" the buy back price from $21 to $55 to a final $100.00. Something in me wonders why I couldn't have been quoted at least the $100.00 after inspection. I just checked my email & they are "asking it's not too late to change my mind" Haha, I JUST WANT MY PHONE!!!!!

This company is a complete scam!!!!!!! I sent them two Iphone 6. One had a slightly cracked screen (I annotated that before I sent them) and the other was only about a week old and barely used. I sent in both phones and after two weeks without contact I called the company. I was notified that the damaged phone was beyond use and had to be recycled. Even though this phone was in great condition (except for a crack in the screen); they stated that nothing was good on it and was only worth $22 for recycling. They still hadn’t processed the second phone, so I stated that I wanted that phone back. They told me that they couldn’t send it back until they sent it through the entire “inspection” process. I was supposed to be notified once they completed the inspection so I could request it back. A few days later I received a customer support email inquiring about my experience thus far. I stated that I am unhappy with the company and no longer trust them. I also stated that I wanted my second phone back as soon as possible. After no contact (yet again) I contacted the customer service line where I was informed that the phone was recycled due to no contact from me. Instead of receiving the $281 quoted; I will now be receiving $22 and cannot receive the phone back. The Account person “Christina” was cocky and had an attitude through the entire call. She had no desire to even attempt to correct the situation. This company is a complete SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Avoid at all costs.

I was looking to sell my old iPhones, both mine and my wives. I had an iPhone 5S 32gb and an iPhone 5 16 gb. I was quoted a combined total of $264 for both phones. The 5S had a crack in the front screen. I listed that on the website... I mailed my phones off using my box and the label the company provided me. I chose this company because they paid via PayPal and I thought it would be the easiest method. I was paid $24 for both phones. I have tried to contact them to get my phones back but there have been no answers and no replies to repeated emails.

Company is doing bait and switch, offer one thing online and then when they get phone in hand they tell you they will pay half of online offer. iPhone 6 Plus online offer was $463 this phone was just gotten from Apple as like new as can be after them having it a week I had to call for update and was told offer is now $200 complete fraud, I told them to send phone back they then said it would take 5 days to get me a tracking # to send it back I asked why 5 days and was told that was in agreement with sending them phone. AVOID AVOID AVOID I WILL ALSO BE SENDING COMPLAINT INTO PAY-pal about their practices

I recently update my cell phone and was looking to sell my old Apple iPhone 5s 32g in gold from att even though the screen was cracked I knew it still had value! I had several people approach me about purchasing it for around $50 but did some research online and found smartphone traders and they offered me $160 with the cracked screen. After seeing this I thought this was the best I'm going to get and promptly sent my phone in. After 3 weeks I get an email saying their experts inspected it and they will only give me $12! Excuse me $12 my time and hassle sending it is more than $12 I would rather let my 3 year old nephew play with it than get $12. I have emailed them back as their hours for phone calls are ridiculous 10-3 mon through thurs mountain time saying keep your $12 and I want my phone back! I am waiting for their response. I advise everyone stay away from this scam artist
