I order cabinets from shoprtacabinets.com on May 20th 2016. After the 16 weeks and no cabinets I started emailing the website. I received two emails that said they would ship out the following October 18th still no cabinets still no response. So I started searching on google and find all these reports where people have been scammed by this website. I also found a report were the Chicago Illinois attorney general was filing a complaint against this company dated in 2015. Why is this still going on from the same company a year later. I guess I'm out $2600.
Please do not order from them! It is just a scam! Any positive reviews you see was written by them as part of their scam!
I order cabinets on September 20. No cabinets as of November 25th. I contacted them to cancel after 8 weeks and no response. I have emailed and left phone messages daily since November 16th confirming that I have cancelled my order and I want a refund. No response. At this point I will not accept any deliveries. I have already purcahsed and installed other cabinets. I just want my $2400 refunded.
Here are the signs I should have heeded: 1- You can't talk to a person, ever. You can only leave a message or send an email. 2- They only accept full payment e-checks up front, no credit cards, which means you can't dispute with you card company to get your money back. Please, save yourself a headache and don't order at all from them!
My story is the same as all of the others i have read (unfortunately too late). I sent this online cabinet store my last dime for kitchen cabinets & like the other folks I got confirming emails etc. from their customer service dept. at first until they had my money in hand & I waited patiently until the 5 weeks lead time they gave me for shipment had passed & decided to check status of my order. I have called & emailed almost daily to no avail. No response whatsoever. I am a senior & this really was all the money I had & it just sickens me to think people can do this to someone like myself and get away with it. How is this company still allowed to do business? I have asked for a refund so that I can purchase cabinets from a legit company and still no response from this outfit. I sorely wish I would have done my homework & researched this company BEFORE sending them any money but like a fool I trusted these guys.
