I have been trying to cancel for the better part of a yr. I even used the cancelation email they gave me multiple times. No response and the money is STILL being taken from my account as we speak.

I signed up for the 7 day free trial on 7/20 - after looking around I went to their website to cancel the trial on the same day. 7/20. When I clicked the cancel button, I was prompted by the website to send an email to [email protected] for "prompt" service to cancel. No reply after 4 days. I emailed again. No response 2 days. I tracked down their phone number, only option to leave voicemail. Voicemail left. On day the trial ended I was charged 29.99 by the company for a service I was supposed to be able to cancel "anytime" "promptly". I have disputed these charges with my bank and am writing to warn any consumer NOT to give them your business. When you sign up they will charge you anyway and never answer the phone, email, or call you back.

This sounds like the typical scam

I didnot join after reading the reviews. First there selection looks like a lot of cheap movies. This scam is so common, I’ve been scammed three times , not on here, It’s always the same ,a free trial ,you give your credit card number. When you try to cancel there is no way of doing. I had to get a new credit card account. That’s the only way I stopped them from charging me. It’s sad we live in a world like this. My one star is based on selection. Thanks for sharing, you saved me from another scam

Tried removing my personal information upon entering 7 day free trial and they won't let me. I have searched and searched on how to remove my information and it's nowhere to be found.

I have been attempting to cancel my Screambox subscription since December of 2016. It is now July 2017 and they have yet to cancel it. I have emailed them five times already, they say that someone will contact me in 2-3 days but have lied. They are still billing my debit card monthly. I want them to cancel my subscription, they are ripping me off.

Screambox makes it extremely difficult to cancel my subscription. The only way to do so is by email. Done so several times with no response.

I signed up for scream box about 2 weeks ago. When I signed up it said I would be charged 4.99 a month. Well then all of a sudden I was charged 38.99 for some reason. Wasn't giving a warning or the info that that would happen. Now I'm on my 4th attempt on trying to get them to remove me. They won't. And you can't just cancel. They make you email them, and they never answer or fulfill what they promise in their steps. It's a trash company and I would advise staying away from them. They are rip off artists.

This company is a joke they say they offer good movies to watch but they don’t I canceled my subscription and they still took $35.88 off my card ! I want to know how to get the stupid crap canceled I’m highly mad !

They offered me a "free" month long trial then immediately charged my card for a full years subscription! after sending five emails over 4 weeks and receiving zero responses, and zero refund, i have now filed a complaint with the federal trade commission. I encourage others to do the same.

Screambox.com offers free, one week trial period to stream horror movies. Customer must provide credit card information upon signing up for free trial. Screambox Terms of Service includes, "We will begin billing your Payment Method for monthly membership fees at the end of the free trial period of your membership unless you cancel prior to the end of the free trial period." Customer may cancel by emailing [email protected]. I canceled before my one week trial was over and received an email response that included, "Please allow 2-3 business days for us to respond to your request." Very deceptive. Company never processed my cancellation and charged my credit card $35.88. Note this is much higher than the $4.99/month fee advertised on the site for monthly streaming plans when customer is logged in. My credit card company told me this showed up as a recurring charge, so I assume Screambox was going to charge $35.88 per month if I did not report this as fraudulent to my credit card company. Company is unresponsive to phone calls and emails. If you are considering signing up for Screambox, do not do it. Complete scam.

Every time I try to contact screambox I can never get through on the phone they never answer my emails and they don't cancel my subscription and they keep charging my debit card I canceled this description a long time ago and they keep on doing it they claim it's due Amazon but it's not because I've contacted Amazon several times and it's not through Amazon

Screambox offered a free month of movies. Instead, they charged my bank account. I was promised a full refund as I never used their services. I never received a refund. There is no contract information on their website.

Well, Screambox is a site where you can watch horror movies. They give you a 7 day free trial, with the option to cancel your membership afterwards. To cancel, you have to submit an email to their contact email address. Well, I've sent several emails askIngram them to cancel my subscription on day 6 of the 7 day trial. They'd responded to the initial email confirming the cancellation about 4-5 months ago. They didn't bI'll me July-October. They've billEd me for Nov and Dec and I no longer have the subscription. Every month I have to call my bank to stop payment or replace the funds they've taken.

I received a free 7 day trial from screambox.com. On 9/1 I requested the service be cancelled as the movies were horrible and I had only streamed 1. I received an email stating they didn't want to lose me as a customer and were giving me 30 days free. I replied to the email I didn't want the 30 days I just wanted to cancel it. Imagine my surprise when 6 hours later my bank account had been drafted for the 35 dollars and I received and email that unfortunately they couldn't cancel my account. It took them 6 hours for that and they did this all after I requested I cancel the account. This is theft. I have tried to email and call the number provided on my bank statement and no one has responded. I reported the transaction as fraudulent with my bank and had to cut up my debit card. I have been on the phone constantly trying to get my money back. I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau, the California department of consumer complaints, and the California Attorney Generals office. I am currently stuck with no money and no way to get money since I had to cut up my debit card and I have no checks. Do not trust this company.

Website offers free trial. To cancel subscription, you must email the company. According to the email, cancellations will happen 2-3 days after the first email was sent. My account has not been canceled and I've contacted the company several times. According to the information I've been reading on their facebook page, they are doing this to many customers. They don't cancel then charge them $4.99 a month. I had to search to find out the company's contact info as it is not readily available on their website.

Please share their contact number as I experienced the same thing. I wanted the free month but was charged nearly $40 making it impossible for me to pay my electric bill. Now power is getting cut off tomorrow plus a reactivation fee to turn it back on. I am so mad I can't see straight!!!
