Scott Michael Tassone Reviews

  • Sep 4, 2015

I have a long storied history with Scott Michael Tassone and Christina Kachadorian -- also known as The Tassones or Scott "The Mover" Tassone. My story begins in January 2012 where I hired Scott the Mover for moving furniture from Laguna Niguel, CA to Aliso Viejo, CA. The company was supposedly licensed and insured. Unfortunately, nearly all wooden furniture was heavily damaged since it was mistreated by the crew that handled the furniture. No worries -- everything is insured, right? Nope. It turned out that Scott the Mover lied on both ends -- his so-called moving company called 3 Big Dogs Moving Company was unlicensed, uninsured and, well, illegal. I contacted the California Public Utilities Commission which shut the company down.

I sued Scott the Mover in Small Claims Court and won. It is an easy victory when you can show the court Scott's false claims and that the California Public Utilities Commission shut him down. Of course, Scott Tassone defaulted on the judgment and failed to satisfy it -- much like many of the other lawsuits he lost.

During and after the lawsuit, Scott Tassone became quite hostile making threatening or prank phone calls to my workplace. Oddly, he called using his known phone numbers and pretended it was not him (or in one instance said it was an acquaintance). That was quite bizarre and perplexing behavior.

Scott the Mover and Chrissy Kachadorian became associated with a reality television series on TruTV called Storage Hunters. The Tassones were eventually terminated from Storage Hunters and sued the production company, T-Group Productions, among others. They also decided to tack on the names of some of their past victims as well including myself onto the lawsuit. I had been out of contact with the Tassones for a year and half when they pulled this stunt.

I prevailed via an anti-SLAPP motion and won the lawsuit against Scott the Mover and Chrissy Kachadorian. The judge ordered them to pay damages -- attorney fees mainly.

I would strongly not recommend being involved with Scott Michael Tassone or Christina Kachadorian for any business purposes. It was a nightmare experience using them for a simple move and they apparently attempted to sue their production company among others for being released from a television series. Scott Tassone has an extensive history of lawsuits in Orange County and Los Angeles counties in California.

If you are a Storage Hunters fan and curious to the outcome of the Tassone et al. v. T Group et al. lawsuit, then I can shed some light. Most of the parties effectively signed a walkaway with a gag order from what I understand. I included a copy of the "Settlement Agreement and Mutual Release" below:

The juicy part is as follows:

The Parties and their attorneys expressly agree to keep the terms and conditions of this Agreement strictly confidential upon execution and thereafter, and that such confidentiality is of the essence and is a material term to this Agreement. The Parties and their attorneys represent and warrant that they shall not disclose, divulge, publish, broadcast, state or otherwise indicate any of the terms of this Agreement to any third party. The Parties and their attorneys further expressly agree to abstain from any press or publicity, including but not limited to television programming, social media and all other forms of media, that discloses, refers to or references the dispute between the Parties, the Action, or the subsequent settlement of the dispute. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if asked about the dispute/lawsuit, the Parties may state that the dispute was amicably resolved.

During the trial, the California State Board put a lien against any judgment the Tassone's might collect since they apparently owe over $36,000 in back taxes:
