If you are looking for a CRM for your company, Salesforce is the most unethical company that I have ever run across, their salespeople are super shady..

They told us that we would be set up monthly so that we could cancel at any time, now we are trying to cancel and they are saying no that we are locked in for a year.

Our company was looking for a CRM as many do. I contacted Salesforce and was sold all the great things about it. They do seem to do a great amount of work to overwhelm negative content about them as in doing some searches at the time, I didn't find anything of grave concern. The sales rep, whose name I will leave out as I have come to find that it is how Salesforce trains their staff, pushed all the right buttons and told me their prices were about to go up and best way was to lock in a couple of years at the discount (essentially would save a couple grand). She also recommended a company to build our platform. We went ahead and signed up.

The company they recommended and paid out 3 grand too, really build a boilerplate system, which I later found out could have been done internally since nothing special was done. Unfortunately they took longer than the 30 day free trial on sales force to build this, so we never really got to have our "trial". The system became unusable. The plugins are exorbitantly priced, I assume because of how much Salesforce charges third party companies to be on their platform. For example, DocuSign was more than 10x the price to allow it to plug in than if I subscribed directly through them. After a couple of months of trying to use Salesforce, it just wasn't working out.

I wrote in and asked to cancel. This I was told was IMPOSSIBLE. I tried to appeal to reason, offering to payout the remainder of 1 year. IMPOSSIBLE. I asked if we could downgrade from 4 licenses to 1 even though no one was using it. IMPOSSIBLE. I finally got a Salesforce Rep to tell me that the problem is that Salesforce is a public company and they only care about their Shareholders bottom line. They do not care about customer satisfaction. And because they will take you to collections at the drop of a hat, which for most new or small to medium business they cannot afford this, they essentially hold you for ransom.

I am baffled that they expect you to pay this for nothing in return. One rep said that this was just like buying a house - if you agree you can't just back out. Very, very poor comparison. Look, I get it that we signed it. But there has to be reason and some care for the customer. It is ludicrous. With a house/apartment whatever, you at least get something for it. These guys do not care if you use it or not. Absolutely ZERO care.

We were told that salesforce would be a good solution for us as a one person company with very limited financial resources. The system is absolutely on usable without additional customizations made via salesforce programmer. Without The customization, it is essentially a unfinished platform that we are unable to use. We have been trying to get a refund for weeks, but I've been told that we have a contract of 12 months to for fill and a refund cannot be given. We never would have bought this product if we knew how poorly designed it was for start ups. They lied to us and our refusing to give our money back. I will never never never go to them again for anything. Avoid at all cost.

We needed a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) System to ingrate with our accounting software.

We were told that the only software that was compatable was Salesforce. When we contacted the Salesforce representative, we asked him a bunch of questions on if the software was capable of doing the necessary things that we needed. He said "Oh yeah, plus we can set you up monthly so that if you are not completely satisfied, you can cancel at anytime!" Not we are into and it is not doing anything that we need it to do and guess what, Salesforce is saying that we are locked in a yearly contract and they cannot release us until the end of the contract.

Beware of high-pressure sales tactics by women that act like your friend and tag-team you until they "have to meet their monthly sales quota", and force you to sign. Your trial time is up, they make endless promises about being able to get you set up and running, that this will be a huge benefit to your business, and on and on... Mostly, it's the false friendships that bother me.

Completely empty promises are made and then they don't even answer their emails when you have questions, much less answer their phone. The help section ALWAYS references completely irrelevant articles. I sent three questions to the Support department through their Submit a Ticket link, only to have them say that they never even got them. Of course, there is no record in my SalesforceIQ program of questions submitted -- naturally.

I'm 2 months into my contract, I've finally been able to activite the 2nd user which I've been paying for, but the initial import of my first 36 candidates -- which THEY did -- is still set up incorrectly. Nothing is "intuitive" or "user-friendly". If I had the ability, I'd give examples here.

The woman they assigned to me to do my initial import did it WRONG the first time, so everyone was alphabetized by First Name. She thought that was fine. This is their Expert.

Request of a prorated cancellation of my contract was replied to by Natalia that it wasn't possible. She cited that they spent an unusual amount of time with me already..... absolutely correct. They did everything possible to keep in touch with me until they talked me into signing. I'm certain that she has sales quotas and couldn't care less about the people she is taking money from.

If this was such a good product, they wouldn't need a year's payment IN ADVANCE and offer NO REFUND.

We attempted to use the SalesForce trial package prior to purchasing to figure out some specifics of how it would work with our currnt business., But we couldn't get it to work.

Because we had used SalesForce before (and had even recommnded it to clients), we knew what was possible and were trying to get the program to do what we knew it was capable of. The representatives told us that the issue was the limited nature of the trial.

So in spite of the fact that the trial package didn't work, wie decided to purchase based on promised levels of performance if we just "upgraded" to an activated account. We were assured repeatedly that the functions we were looking for would be there if we just upgraded.

So that ws probably mistake #1 on our part. Mistake #2 was not recording every phone call.

We started attempting to get the program to work within two days after we upgraded. And that's when the phone calls started.

We eventually took the dispute to our bank because the product sold was never delivered. Fortunately we did have 28 pages of emails and other documentation of the problems surrounding this purchase. So Bank of America investigated and refunded our money.

Now a collections person from SalesForce is emailing threats to send us to collection, attempting to force us to pay a debt we don't believe we owe for a product we have never received.

It's bad enough that they wasted so much of my time attempting to get what is clearly a defective product to work. Now they're wasting even more of my time with this collections harassment.

DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU! If someone from SalesForce says their program will do something, make them show you before you give them a dime!
